I was thinking about the HAO for my 10.5 inch build, but as I used Angry Gun for my 14.5 I want to keep them as close, colour wise, as possible. Did you use the 10.5 or 9.3 for your shorty build?
-
In relation to the rail being compatible with the gun, yes it is. I can’t remember if I needed to use the adapter when I built mine, but it’s better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. It was a very easy build to be honest. Once you’ve got the front iron sight and the delta ring off, just screw on the supplied ring nut, slide the rail on and tighten up the screws. Is it specifically the 14.5 inch build you’re going for? Why not just get a shorter MK16 rail and save the cost of changing the outer barrel. The 10.5 inch is in service with USASOC so it’s a correct build. I’m not sure about the Angry Gun outer barrel and it’s compatibility with the MWS or the npas, but I’m sure someone here will be able to confirm this. Are you getting the Geissele style gas block? It doesn’t do anything for the function, but gives a bit more stability to the rail and, in my opinion, it looks better. I’m intending to buy a CQBR and make a 10.5 inch MK16 URG-I to go with my 14.5. The TM MWS is the top rifle in the picture. The shorty is a GHK that I’ve just sold. I think the MWS looks better than the GHK due to the Cerakote finish and the colour of the rail looks nicer.

He’s now reduced the price from just under £1000 to £699. That’s still a hell of a price for a used WE M4 CQBR with a damaged rail. Even with 5 magazines and accessories, which are not what you’d call high end. Going by his description I’d say he’s aiming at buyers who have no idea what they’re looking at.

Is this eBay listing from Patrol Base? Because it’s selling for £830 on their site. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/vortex-amg-uh-1-gen-ii-holographic-sight

Just a heads up to what appears to be a couple of scam sales posts over on Zeroin. https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3284063-ghk-m4-colt-14-5-new-with-defect https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3284019-ghk-553-tactical Both appear to be genuine old posts that have been hacked by and relisted. Thankfully someone contacted the seller and backed away when bank transfer was discussed. Below is the thread discussing the scam. https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3284066-warning-scam-ghk-553-tactical Just keep an eye out for anything that appears too good a deal, has a dated photo in the American Month/Day/Year format and requesting bank transfer.

https://prefired.co.uk/ads/ak-47-2/ I didn’t even notice this one that he wants £100 for plus £40 postage ?

https://prefired.co.uk/ads/mp5a8/ https://prefired.co.uk/ads/german-model-mp-40/ https://prefired.co.uk/ads/m41-rifle/ Even bbguns4less wouldn’t try selling these at those prices. Especially when you add on his postage costs of £20 each for the MP5 and MP40 and £30 for the G36

I think this guy is already known about, but thanks for posting. It’s always better to over report these than to under report. I think a few profiles have been created using 3 letters and a bunch of random numbers. That’s a bit of a red flag for me. Most people what to have a profile name linked either to the sport or to their name. For me, I’d rather miss out on a sale if there’s anything off than to risk selling to someone who’s possibly dodgy. I have no issues going the extra mile to reassure a potential buyer and I’d expect a seller to do the same for me.

If you can’t find them anywhere in the U.K. I’d say give them a shot. As I said, I’ve only used them once, but can’t fault them and that seems to be the experience of others to. Let us know how it works out.

I’ve just had my first experience using Octagon Airsoft from Hong Kong and I’m very happy with the service so I’d recommend them as worth a look. I couldn’t find a VFC MP5 GBB fixed buttstock in any of my usual stores so, following a Google search and finding them in stock with Octagon I took a chance. The buttstock arrived in around 10 days without any issues, no charges, no hassle. They’re new to me and others may have more experience of their service, for better or worse, and as usual I’d recommend using PayPal or a credit card for any purchases, but I can only comment as I’ve found and I will use them again if they have something I’m after.

It really depends what you want to use it for. Personally, since getting my first gas gun a few years ago, I’ve never looked back and will only get gas guns. AEG’s just lack that bit of realism that you get with a GBB. That said, I don’t really play anymore and my guns are for collection or display purposes. If you want to run a gas gun in games then you need to take into consideration it’s going to be more expensive to run and require more effort to maintain. Also, you’ll need to alter your playing style if you’re used to just running and gunning. You’ll need more magazines than you would for an AEG and because they hold less bb’s you’ll need to be more controlled in your shooting. But I’m sure you’re probably already aware of all that. As for the WE M16A1, it’s a great rifle, but good luck getting hold of one. I’ve been on the lookout for one for over a year but they’ve not been back in stock. Unless you want to buy from abroad. You will need to keep it maintained with regular cleaning and oiling. Just think of it as a real rifle and you won’t go wrong. Bear in mind that internal parts will break, but because it’s a WE there are loads of replacement parts available. The rifle is quite light so the recoil is stronger which just adds to the realism for me. In short, if you can find one I’d say definitely buy one. It’s a decent rifle for a first gas blowback. It was one of my first and like I say, I wouldn’t go back to AEG’s.

Response edited as I hadn’t realised this guy had asked the same question in another thread.

I ordered a Holy Warrior Sig Sauer Tango6T replica last week from Aliexpress and it arrived this morning. Chucked it on my TM M4 MWS URG-I build and I think it really looks the part. I’m really happy with the build quality and the look of it. The glass is very clear although I’m sure it’s nowhere near the all round quality of the real steel scope. I’m not sure how well it’ll stand up to the punishment of recoil from a real 5.56mm rifle, but it should be good enough to withstand a GBBR. That said, this is really only for display with the odd bit of garden plinking.

Sounds great. I’m very interested in the VFC KAC M110K1 and the Colt 733 when they are fully released, so any chance of them being sold by a U.K. seller is a good thing.
-
Is this the full list of manufacturers that you will be able to get or is there a chance it could expand in future as I’m interested in a few VFC GBB’s and ArchWick’s L119A2. There’s no one in the U.K. looking likely to stock them at the moment.
-
You lucky bugger. I wish I was in a position to be confident that I wouldn’t have any issues getting one imported, but being on a reenactment society defence I can see customs just chucking it in the skip and it would honestly break my heart. Not to mention my back balance. I really thought some of the U.K. stores would have jumped on these though and got some in stock. I’m sure they wouldn’t hang around long, even at the high price.
-
So I’ve heard. I’ve not seen one up close, but they look amazing from what I’ve seen online. I had a TM MWS done up as an L119A2, but it just didn’t seem right without the monolithic upper. I’d probably sell most of my collection for an Archwick.

Looking for a Retention Holster for Glock 17 with Surefire X300V
Super64 replied to Super64's topic in General Help
Thanks for the suggestions guys. It looks like Deadly Customs do a universal Surefire holster which is compatible with the X300V, so I think they may be worth a try. Doesn’t look like it has the thumb drive style retention, but beggars can’t be choosers. -

Yeah, guess I should have said. It’s the GHK, so looking at 1:1 size wise. -
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a decent retention holster to fit a Glock 17 with a Surefire X300V? I’m not wanting to pay silly money, but open to suggestions. I’ve got a couple of Fobus Lighthouse holsters, but I don’t really like the locking/retention system. Something with a thumb drive would be good. There are a bunch around, but the issue I’m having is that the X300V is a longer torch than the usual X300 or X300U so it doesn’t seem to fit most styles.

Archwick are doing some really nice stuff and I like the look of their L119A2 a lot. The kits for the Marui MWS aren’t much cheaper than the full GHK build so I’d expect the LMT to be around the same price. Also, they don’t seem to have a very large manufacturing base, which I’m sure keeps up the high quality, but means there’s not many around. I’ve not seen any available in the U.K. even though I’m sure quite a few people would be willing to buy them. Me included. It seems unlikely U.K. retailers will stock the LMT kits if their not able or willing to stock the L119A2’s unfortunately. That kind of leaves us with buying from an Asian store and it’s a lot of cash to throw away if customs decide their not willing to let it in, or if something happens to it in transit.
