Yeah, it’s definitely going to be more like £700 to £800. Bearing in mind the VFC FAL is priced at £489 on WGC, but the U.K. retailers have it anywhere between £640 and £830. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

https://www.wgcshop.com/collections/machine-gun/products/vfc-vf2-lm249-bk01 WGC are taking pre-orders with an expected delivery date of end of July, beginning of august. I wonder how long after that they’ll arrive in the U.K. and if the £549 price will be the same over here.

It could be a faulty magazine. I’ve only got one, so possibly need to buy another to see if the issue is the magazine or the gun. Either way, it’s not a big deal. The gun is still awesome and fires bbs fine. I can live without the dry fire mode, but I would prefer it if the bolt was full travel.
-
No. Bought from Dave’s Custom Airsoft.

Thanks for the YouTube video. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have made any difference to mine. I’ve trimmed that tab down to the point that it is now shorter than the switch, but it still only fires once before clicking back across and the bolt still stops short of closed. It seems to fire bbs fine, which I guess is the most important thing for most people, but it would be nice to have a functioning dry fire mode.
-
Thanks for the info. Does that also fix the issue with the dry fire mode? The issue I’m having is that I can’t seem to lock it in dry fire mode. When I switch it over and insert the magazine it seems to switch back over and holds the bolt in the part open position after firing one round. Can you post a picture of the part you’ve trimmed? To be totally honest, I’m not even sure if I’m using the dry fire mode correctly. I can’t find a YouTube video explaining haw to set it properly and it doesn’t really explain it well in the instructions. Most video reviews just mention it, but don’t really go in to any depth regarding the magazine.

Yeah, it really looks the part with the handguard. Just finishes it off. It’s the VFC MP5 one, which fits spot on.

Well, I’ve had a bit more of a play and I have to say, I’m extremely happy. I have no idea what it’ll be like to skirmish with, accuracy, power or longevity of parts, but for my purposes as a collection, display gun, it is absolutely awesome. It feels solid, everything clicks nicely and it looks beautiful, as you’d expect from VFC. Unfortunately, it has the same bolt block feature that the VFC MP5 has, which prevents the bolt and charging handle slamming forward with an empty magazine inserted. It does have a dry fire mode on the magazine, but it only appears to work for one shot, then clicks back over to normal mode. All in all, I’m a very happy bunny. Bring on the VFC M249.

Well, my HK53 arrived today. I’ve only had the chance to have a quick look over it so far, but my initial impressions are, very nice. I’ll hopefully get more chance to have a proper play about tomorrow and get some pictures posted. But, at the moment I am very happy.
-
Yeah, I’ll put a bit of a review up. It’ll not be an extensive one. As I said above, it’s a collection piece, but will definitely give an overview.
-
Yeah, not great, but it’s better than running the risk of Customs destroying it because I’m using a re-enactment society membership as defence. If I knew it would get through without any issues I’d order from one of the Asia stores, but I get the impression Customs just look for any excuse to prevent scary toy guns getting into the country.

Not at all mate. Like all my other stuff, it’s primarily for display, collection purposes. While I have it, it’ll be luck to have more than a couple of mags worth of bbs through it. As others have said, VFC have produced some outstanding products over the last couple of years. I’ve had quite a few of them and never been disappointed with them, for what I use them for. If there are issues with the HK53 it’s unlikely to be a problem for me. Most of the concerns people have regarding VFC are based on earlier products. And anyway, if anything fails, as is a genuine possibility with most airsoft guns, especially GBB’s, then VFC are pretty good at producing replacement parts.
-
Dave’s Custom Airsoft had the VFC HK53 on pre order with an expected arrival date of 25th May. I’ve put my order in and had confirmation, but now it’s not showing the HK53 on their site. Guess I’ll just have to wait to see if it arrives.
-
That’s going to be extremely unfortunate if it is the case and they’ve been released with this issue. VFC are still trying to recover their reputation with regard to their GBB’s from the poor stuff they released in the past. Like the first gen MP5’s and G36’s. It’s still one of the reasons many of the stores won’t stock them, because their reputation isn’t great, so people are reluctant to buy. Which is a shame, because they’re one of the few manufacturers willing to make more than just another M4. But, that’s possibly why they have issues. By having a wide range of GBB’s they aren’t fine tuning their products. I guess we’ll wait to see the YouTube reviews of the HK53 when they start to come out from people who’ve bought them.
-
Well the two main things I’m after this year are the HK53 and the M249, so it sounds good on the M249 front if a bunch of U.K. stores are looking to pre order. I just hope the Chinese can hold off their invasion of Taiwan long enough for them to be produced and delivered 😏

THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

- Used or as new
I know it’s a huge long shot as it’s just come out and not available in the U.K. yet, but if anyone has managed to get their hands on a VFC HK53 GBB and isn’t happy with it, I’ll gladly take it off your hands. Or, if someone is looking to put an order in from one of the Asian stores and would consider getting an extra one for me, let me know. I’m using a reenactment society defence and don't want to run the risk of Customs having some form of issue and binning it if I order one. I’ve not tried importing on a reenactment defence yet and don’t know how Customs deal with defences other than UKARA. Obviously, I’d only consider a joint purchase from a trusted member with good feedback as I’d pay for mine prior to the order being submitted, plus any agreed admin fee 😉. I’ve messaged some of the larger U.K. stores and as things stand, they don’t have a due date for any stock yet.£1,234

I’m after a tan butt stock for a 417 please. Bear in mind that the 417 buffer tube I’d larger that the 416, so a 416 or M4 size stock won’t fit.£1,234

Yes mate, it looks awesome and can’t wait to get one to go with my MP5. I’m a big fan of VFC’s GBB’s even though they had a bit of a poor reputation in the past. They’ve definitely got a decent variety of products, a lot of which other manufacturers don’t do. I’m especially looking forward to their GBB M249, hopefully coming out in a few months. I just hope U.K. stores are willing to stock them.
-
So I’ve seen that a number of the Asian stores have the VFC HK53 GBB listed for pre order with an expected arrival date of April 2023. It’s showing at around £400 on WGC Shop. Does anyone know if any of the U.K. stores plan to stock this? I’ve not seen it listed anywhere.

Are you the guy who posted questioning whether it was a scam? Did you get my comment? Hopefully it helped and prevented you getting scammed.

Let me guess, is it in Australia?

https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/19722-rare-we-colt-m4-co2-rifle £1230 for a WE CQBR with mags and a few accessories. That’s massively over priced I hear you say. Ah, but hold on. He’s ex-infantry who wants something more than just a normal airsoft gun. So this is a rare WE Colt M4 (yeah, there’s no Colt trademarked receiver, so it’s just a bog standard WE CQBR with a couple of internal upgrades), which is a fully upgraded milsim rifle. Now you see where the value lies 😉. Honestly mate, you’ll be lucky to get half that price 🤔
-
To be honest, with the amount of stuff I’ve bought and sold over the years I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s my wife trying to flog all my stuff 🤔
-
Also, be aware that if you see this WE M14 EBR for sale anywhere using this photo, it’s also one of my pictures of a gun I sold a while ago. I know of one person so far that’s had this offered to them for around £200 using this photo. £200 is very cheap for a standard WE M14, let alone a fully trademarked EBR with accessories. So it suggests it’s a scam as opposed to the current owner wanting to sell.
