  1. Personally I’m interested in most of the VFC stand. They’ve got some great stuff coming out, but the main highlights for me are the M249 and the HK53. I’m also looking forward to the GHK Glock 17 Gen 5.
  2. We just need to get some U.K. stores to start stocking them and we’re laughing. I’m really impressed with VFC’s product range, both current and future, but I don’t know if it’s a production issue or import problems, but there’s never anything in stock. No G3’s available all year, still no Fal’s available and M110’s have always been very difficult to get.
  3. You’re right, they are much better. I’ve had the G3, the M110, 733 and I’ve still got a couple of 416’s and a 2nd gen MP5 and have had no issues whatsoever. I love VFC’s stuff and that they are willing to make stuff that other manufacturers aren’t. My main concern really is whether U.K. stores will stock them. I spoke to a few stores a while back about the prospect of getting the M110 and for the most part the answer was no because they didn’t want to take a risk on VFC due to their reputation for poor internals. Hopefully some stores will stock this, but nowhere in the U.K. has had the G3, M110 or FAL available for ages, if at all, and at the price I’m imagining this will be, I don’t really want to risk trying to import one.
  4. I’ve had the VFC Gen 5 and I’ve still got the VFC 19X which has the same style grip and it does feel that little bit more comfortable to hold. That said, the Gen 3 isn’t exactly uncomfortable, but it’s nice to see that we’ll soon have a choice between the two.
  5. Yeah, the lack of a comma after lightweight would suggest they mean the recoil, but I’m not totally sure which way they mean it. I guess we’ll find out more when they release more details. There’s a YouTube video coming out soon by the looks of it and VFC usually do quite a bit of social media coverage on their new releases. As a collector I think I’d rather a more realistic weight with a lighter recoil than a lighter gun with heavier recoil. There’s always the potential for after market parts to increase the recoil. There’s been a fair bit of talk over the last couple of years of either a GBB M249 or a drop in kit for existing M249’s, but I’ve not seen anything come on the market. I’m guessing this is a promotional video as proof of concept or something like that, but definitely not something that was released to my knowledge. I may be wrong, but I would have thought that if A&K had released a gas M249 there would have been reviews and discussions around it.
  6. Now this could be awesome. There’s been talk for ages of a gas M249, but it looks like VFC have actually got one ready to go. Yes, VFC internals leave a lot to be desired, although they are much better now than they were, and it would have been better if TM or GHK were to release one, but beggars can’t be choosers. At least VFC are willing to diversify and not just push out a new style AR-15. The only downside is that it says it’s a lightweight blowback. I’m guessing that refers to the weight of the gun as opposed to the weight of the recoil. I know an M249 is a heavy gun, but for realism I’d prefer the heavier weight.
  7. I was hoping GHK would be releasing more Glocks and it looks like they are. There’s no specific release date yet other than 2023. I like the Gen 3, but there’s just something about the Gen 5 that I prefer. Hopefully we’ll get a Glock 19 from them as well.
  8. It looks like all of the scopes and mounts are still available, which is pretty much all I use Aliexpress for anyway. I wonder what the reason is behind the move.
  9. Just go to Aliexpress and put Evolution Gear Vudu into the search and it’ll bring it up. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but the Tango6T and Vortex Razor replicas I’ve bought we’re expensive as well and are really nice replicas. So I’d expect the Vudu to be nice as well. Not as nice as the real thing, but it’s a fair bit cheaper.
  10. Aliexpress is your friend for anything like that. Evolutiongear do a Vudu clone. I’ve not ordered one, so I don’t know what it’s like, but I have bought an Evolutiongear Sig Tango6T which I’m very impressed with.
  11. I was hoping for a GBB Famas, so this is something I’ll be keeping an eye on. Thanks for the heads up ?
  12. I’m the same as Jim. I’ve ordered a bunch of stuff from HAO’s website and never had any issue with customs and never had any fees added. I’m not saying there’s never going to be an issue, but I think you’ll be unlucky if you get hit with customs charges. That said, the Angry Gun rail is very nice and, like I said yesterday, it’s probably the one I’ll go for when I come to build my 10.5. Just to keep it the same as my 14.5. I’m not sure what the colour difference is between the HAO and Angry Gun, but there was definitely a difference between the GHK and the Angry Gun. The GHK was a lighter shade with the Angry Gun being a darker, richer colour that I preferred. I think you’ll be lucky to get it in 2 weeks. It’s not impossible, but it’ll be pushing it. Especially with the Royal Mail strikes. It looks like they have more strikes planned for 2nd, 3rd and 4th of November. So I don’t rate your chances of getting it in 2 weeks.
  13. I was thinking about the HAO for my 10.5 inch build, but as I used Angry Gun for my 14.5 I want to keep them as close, colour wise, as possible. Did you use the 10.5 or 9.3 for your shorty build?
  14. In relation to the rail being compatible with the gun, yes it is. I can’t remember if I needed to use the adapter when I built mine, but it’s better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. It was a very easy build to be honest. Once you’ve got the front iron sight and the delta ring off, just screw on the supplied ring nut, slide the rail on and tighten up the screws. Is it specifically the 14.5 inch build you’re going for? Why not just get a shorter MK16 rail and save the cost of changing the outer barrel. The 10.5 inch is in service with USASOC so it’s a correct build. I’m not sure about the Angry Gun outer barrel and it’s compatibility with the MWS or the npas, but I’m sure someone here will be able to confirm this. Are you getting the Geissele style gas block? It doesn’t do anything for the function, but gives a bit more stability to the rail and, in my opinion, it looks better. I’m intending to buy a CQBR and make a 10.5 inch MK16 URG-I to go with my 14.5. The TM MWS is the top rifle in the picture. The shorty is a GHK that I’ve just sold. I think the MWS looks better than the GHK due to the Cerakote finish and the colour of the rail looks nicer.
  15. He’s now reduced the price from just under £1000 to £699. That’s still a hell of a price for a used WE M4 CQBR with a damaged rail. Even with 5 magazines and accessories, which are not what you’d call high end. Going by his description I’d say he’s aiming at buyers who have no idea what they’re looking at.
  16. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/15324-gas-blowback-ar Sorry, how much for your WE M4 CQBR!!!!

    Which U.K. store has them?
  18. Is this eBay listing from Patrol Base? Because it’s selling for £830 on their site. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/vortex-amg-uh-1-gen-ii-holographic-sight
  19. Just a heads up to what appears to be a couple of scam sales posts over on Zeroin. https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3284063-ghk-m4-colt-14-5-new-with-defect https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3284019-ghk-553-tactical Both appear to be genuine old posts that have been hacked by and relisted. Thankfully someone contacted the seller and backed away when bank transfer was discussed. Below is the thread discussing the scam. https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3284066-warning-scam-ghk-553-tactical Just keep an eye out for anything that appears too good a deal, has a dated photo in the American Month/Day/Year format and requesting bank transfer.
  20. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/ak-47-2/ I didn’t even notice this one that he wants £100 for plus £40 postage ?
  21. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/mp5a8/ https://prefired.co.uk/ads/german-model-mp-40/ https://prefired.co.uk/ads/m41-rifle/ Even bbguns4less wouldn’t try selling these at those prices. Especially when you add on his postage costs of £20 each for the MP5 and MP40 and £30 for the G36
  22. I think this guy is already known about, but thanks for posting. It’s always better to over report these than to under report. I think a few profiles have been created using 3 letters and a bunch of random numbers. That’s a bit of a red flag for me. Most people what to have a profile name linked either to the sport or to their name. For me, I’d rather miss out on a sale if there’s anything off than to risk selling to someone who’s possibly dodgy. I have no issues going the extra mile to reassure a potential buyer and I’d expect a seller to do the same for me.
  23. If you can’t find them anywhere in the U.K. I’d say give them a shot. As I said, I’ve only used them once, but can’t fault them and that seems to be the experience of others to. Let us know how it works out.
  24. I’ve just had my first experience using Octagon Airsoft from Hong Kong and I’m very happy with the service so I’d recommend them as worth a look. I couldn’t find a VFC MP5 GBB fixed buttstock in any of my usual stores so, following a Google search and finding them in stock with Octagon I took a chance. The buttstock arrived in around 10 days without any issues, no charges, no hassle. They’re new to me and others may have more experience of their service, for better or worse, and as usual I’d recommend using PayPal or a credit card for any purchases, but I can only comment as I’ve found and I will use them again if they have something I’m after.
  25. It really depends what you want to use it for. Personally, since getting my first gas gun a few years ago, I’ve never looked back and will only get gas guns. AEG’s just lack that bit of realism that you get with a GBB. That said, I don’t really play anymore and my guns are for collection or display purposes. If you want to run a gas gun in games then you need to take into consideration it’s going to be more expensive to run and require more effort to maintain. Also, you’ll need to alter your playing style if you’re used to just running and gunning. You’ll need more magazines than you would for an AEG and because they hold less bb’s you’ll need to be more controlled in your shooting. But I’m sure you’re probably already aware of all that. As for the WE M16A1, it’s a great rifle, but good luck getting hold of one. I’ve been on the lookout for one for over a year but they’ve not been back in stock. Unless you want to buy from abroad. You will need to keep it maintained with regular cleaning and oiling. Just think of it as a real rifle and you won’t go wrong. Bear in mind that internal parts will break, but because it’s a WE there are loads of replacement parts available. The rifle is quite light so the recoil is stronger which just adds to the realism for me. In short, if you can find one I’d say definitely buy one. It’s a decent rifle for a first gas blowback. It was one of my first and like I say, I wouldn’t go back to AEG’s.
