Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a decent retention holster to fit a Glock 17 with a Surefire X300V? I’m not wanting to pay silly money, but open to suggestions. I’ve got a couple of Fobus Lighthouse holsters, but I don’t really like the locking/retention system. Something with a thumb drive would be good. There are a bunch around, but the issue I’m having is that the X300V is a longer torch than the usual X300 or X300U so it doesn’t seem to fit most styles. -

Archwick are doing some really nice stuff and I like the look of their L119A2 a lot. The kits for the Marui MWS aren’t much cheaper than the full GHK build so I’d expect the LMT to be around the same price. Also, they don’t seem to have a very large manufacturing base, which I’m sure keeps up the high quality, but means there’s not many around. I’ve not seen any available in the U.K. even though I’m sure quite a few people would be willing to buy them. Me included. It seems unlikely U.K. retailers will stock the LMT kits if their not able or willing to stock the L119A2’s unfortunately. That kind of leaves us with buying from an Asian store and it’s a lot of cash to throw away if customs decide their not willing to let it in, or if something happens to it in transit.

Personally when I advertise stuff I usually make it clear that the price includes PayPal and postage fees. In this case quango2k hasn’t mentioned PayPal, just delivery. So it does leave room for confusion. As it is advised that all transactions go via PayPal I can see why you would expect PayPal fees to be included in his price. But once it is clear that the PayPal fees are extra, if you didn’t want to pay the extra, personally I would have left it at that. Thanks, but no thanks. I feel that posting a bad review was probably an unnecessary step to far. I wouldn’t necessarily say either of you were being an asshole, just a situation that could probably have been dealt with better.

Nice. I want a different stock on my URG-I. I think I’m going to go with a tan B5 Sopmod, but the Magpul with the riser looks nice. That may be an option. Is that a genuine Insight torch or a replica?

Well my dispute is in with Aliexpress so I’ll see what happens with that, but in the meantime I’m pretty much done with my Clay Spenser build. One or two little touches left to do, needs a better charging handle, but other than that, even with the damage, I’m very happy with it. I think it looks great with my Jason Hayes build.

To be honest, my heart did sink when I saw the dent and if it had been a U.K. or European store it would be going back. But it’s just way to much hassle to try sending it back to an Aliexpress store in China. So I’ve made my peace with it 😏 I’ve got a 416 with the Geissele rail for the Jason Hayes look, but I’ve been after a Clay 416 as well. I’ll get pictures posted when it arrives and it’s kitted up. In the mean time I’ve stuck it on my TM M4 URG-I.

It took nearly a month, but it got here and I have to say I’m very impressed. So a big thank you to rocketdogbert for the heads up. It looks absolutely perfect, apart from the damage to the front and a couple of small scratches, which I’m guessing must have happened during packaging as it came securely package in a decent case. The markings are really nice and it has some decent weight to it. Plus it comes with everything in the picture, Geissele style mount, covers, kill flash and throw lever. The glass is nice and clear with decent crosshairs and the zoom in and out is smooth enough. Obviously it’s not going to be as smooth as the real thing, but it’s a hell of a lot cheaper. All in all I’m very happy. Just waiting for my 416 to arrive so I can get on with my SEAL Team Clay Spenser build.

I am not a tech, but it is a relatively straight forward process switching the internals over. I did this last year and everything appears to be functioning as it should. This has been a display/collectors piece and so has not been gamed, but a few bb’s were fired through it to confirm it works. The one issue to highlight is that the holes for the takedown pins on the trademarked lower were smaller than on the original lower and so I had to drill these to make them wider. I have priced this with these points taken into account. Will come in small, hard rifle case.£280

There are two issues of note. The Co2 magazine has an empty Co2 bulb stuck inside as the screw cap is stuck. The fittings for the Alan key have stripped and so I can’t unscrew it. The right tools and some effort should release it. The second issue is that the loading nozzle sticks during cycling, probably due to laying in a case used for over a year or so. Due to this, or possibly another unknown reason the green gas vents all the gas when fired. This is possibly a quick fix with a little oil, but I don’t have any. The mag does hold gas with no leaks.£120
