I heard about the set up at the mall and I was thinking about seeing if I can get a crowd from up here to do a weekend trip if anyone is interested in doing that one. It sounds like a great skirmishing site

I do laugh at the people who know nothing about this sport. They ask me what I have been up to and the answer 'buying guns' is usually met with surprise. Then they ask what I shoot and the obvious answer is 'people' because I love the reaction. 'oh...erm...right....ok'! Fair is fair, they are shooting at me

I bought a torch yesterday from Airsoftworld that is a new type to me. I have a few LED torches but this is the newer style which is measured in lumens. What a bit of kit it is. I cant see me ever needing it in airsoft but I could use gaffer tape and stick it to a barrel if I wanted to. I certainly don't see any need to spend silly money when a £9.95 torch is more than adequete

M1911 springer

i bought a torch today from airsoftworld. its a normal hand torch but very bright and is adjustable for wide to narrow beam. i didnt buy it for airsofting but i could use it if i dont mind having both hands occupied. i do have head torches too if i really wanted it on my pistol i could tape it on

CYMA desert eagle AEP with holster

it has been converted to lipo from the standard nicad at the expense of the rail under the barrel but that doesnt bother me. i skirmish in woodland so i have no use for a torch or laser unless the rumour is true about a new site opening in livingston which is a disused shopping centre. even then it may be well enough lit with natural light to not need any extra lighting

someone offered me an AEP and i have bought it from him. one of these will be going to my next game with a spare mag and battery upgrade

i have CS95 but i am now looking at buying MTP. i only play in woodland but it is quite a light coloured environment so my loadout is too dark for it. it really does come down to the environment that you are skirmishing in

AEG although i might get a GBB next year. i have literally just bought a pistol and i went for AEP with winter coming in soon. the blowback doesnt really interest me too much but the springer would be completely outgunned in the last game of the day which is normally pistols/single shot (if you dont have a pistol)

will G&G fit TM? i have a dodgey mag and i would like an adapter for a silencer. LWA have the G&G adapter in stock and a G&G mag out of stock

being pink isn't enough for an American to differentiate between a real gun and airsoft gun? then again, a blank firing attachment on a real SA80 is yellow. We need to paint a lump of metal on the end of the barrel to show that it is loaded with blanks and not live rounds

I don't have a dedicated holster. It just happens to fit my pistol nicely. Not too tight so I have to yank the pistol out but not so slack that the pistol shakes as i am moving. It was an ebay auction that paid off very well. Something of similiar size would be nice but POW suggest AEP instead of gas due to the Scottish weather. I like the springer but it will annoy me eventually so I want another pistol

i cant seem to find much in this category and navigating some retailers sites is not as simple as i would like. on my phone i have an option to see the details of every weapon but that is not obvious on my laptop. unfortunately it is harder to find the correct category on my phone so i have to look at dozens of them to find AEPs and they seem to be in short supply would someone like to recommend some to me? i like the look of pistols like the desert eagle, M1911 and styles like that. nothing too small or too big (M1911 is perfect for my holster)

I would rather buy over the counter anyway and in this case it was the cheaper option. I personally wouldn't have asked for a price promise since it means very little and there could be a fault. Over the counter means you could return it and have a replacement within 24 hours. A few pence or pounds isn't much to pay for peace of mind

it was the site owner that advised against headwear with anything hanging over the forehead due to heat building up which causes fogging. I have a scrim but I have no idea how to wear it without looking like Norah batty. I know berets aren't a patch on a skid lid but I think kevlar is a bit OTT for airsoft. I will try the boonie and scrim on sunday and see how I get on. Thanks guys

I wear CS95 complete with flashes, nametag and rank slide. The beret and cap badge came from a QM store as did my own when it was issued to me. I passed out of basic training on 26th may 1995 and this is the same as the kit I was issued in phase 2 (ATC Harrogate). Have i earned the right to wear it yet? Lol I am after opnions on how practical it would be. I don't really want to ruin my remembrance parade beret but if it improves my game then......

the cap isn't really working out too well and a mate has given me a DPM beanie hat (I think? It has a soft brim all the way round) but I am considering a beret. Any views on this?

the mags are hi caps. I was really bored yesterday and set myself a task. I now know that they hold 420 bbs per mag and they do need winding conversely, my M1911 mag holds 110 bbs which was a pleasant surprise

we are only talking about a first game remember. Not a long term tactic! There is also the fact that you have to learn your way around the site so charging in isn't a good idea when you don't know where you are charging to 1000 rounds will probably be plenty although I suspect it may be 2500 or 5000 supplied with a rental gun. My pistol holds 110 and my G3 holds 420 per mag (I counted in both cases yesterday). I have a full pistol mag, 3 G3 mags plus 3 spares bags each holding 420 and I don't expect to use any bags on Sunday. It will of course depend on scenarios they set up, how I play and where I position myself

dont charge in like a maniac. take a more defensive role and watch the experienced players to get a feel for it. maybe even shadow someone but not too close or you could get them hit which wouldnt go down well

i am a medal of honor fan too but i do remember wolfenstein. doom 3 put me off the first person shooters but i would like more games like the early medal of honors on PS1 and PS2. i stopped buying them when they left the WW2 scene though
