let me see it on Sunday George. I am sure we can devise some kind of bodge job with my ever expanding bag of bits and pieces. I fixed my holster and face mask with zip ties

it is nothing to do with the game Lozart. It is nothing other than curiosity between 2 weapons I own. I cant imagine when I would use full auto with a pistol during a game anyway. I would assume its range would be lucky to be of any use beyond single shot limits anyway so the information I want is irrelevant to a skirmish. In CQB I wouldn't want open up at someone with it although I think I would choose it over the 1911s for practical reasons. Semi only though

they do that with 9 by adding an R on the end there are some odd choices in there. November seems a little random considering the general concept appears to be 2 syllables for clarity. to be fair, that does make sense but then they throw golf and November in there to confuse people

I actually haven't looked to see how its attached. I just assumed that it was designed to stay on the scope. Its there so I always use it as soon as I have cleared my gun but that is probably more to make sure it doesn't get damaged more than keeping the scope free of alien objects. On the other hand, how much would I shit myself if I go into a game and the first time I notice an adventurous spider is when I look through the scope. It was bad enough last time when a Marshall was about 30 feet from me during a scan for enemy movement

I did wonder about mike but you could put a little emphasis in the ke to drag it out a little. Golf is just golf though

I am considering some camo tape or black nasty (gaffer tape for the benefit or our civvy friends) as a less permanent solution to spray. The lip pops inside the end of the scope which is the issue with tape. It might leave a halo but spray would cover everything. looking at the picture, its like a bloody torch when the sun hits it. That's unacceptable and only became apparent after my last skirmish which is where that picture came from

in simple terms, my desert eagle holds 32 rounds in a mag. I want to know how fast it can empty a single mag and compare that figure to the G3. Just idle curiousity because the DE seemed remarkably fast at emptying a mag on the range. The G3 will naturally feel slower because it holds well over 10 x as many.

they have only fired single shots when checking my guns with their chrono. I understand what I presume is the same concept as a practical lesson I did in physics class. An object passes between 2 fixed points and the speed is calculated from that. Can a chrono tel you how many objects pass through it and how long it takes?

a common misinterpretation. Roger means received and that is all. It does not mean understood for the simple reason that the operator may not be the intended recipient and is merely passing a message to their superior. similiarly, the leader would have a separate and universal although in the real world it is different because they would not have a radio. After establishing comms the command would be 'fetch sunray'. The operator would then get the commanding officer then that person would use the radio themselves. the easiest way to translate that into airsoft would be for the leader to be 0 which is always HQ but preceded by the team callsign ie Charlie Papa 0 conversely, GOLF is the only single syllable letter in the phonetic alphabet. It seems they missed that one. Gonads seems like a suitable replacement under the circumstances

is there a way of finding out or is it the old failsafe way of emptying a mag filled with a counted number of rounds while your mate times it? obviously this relates to full auto only. I am curious about my AEG and AEP. I reckon the AEP is quicker. The only foreseeable issue is the fact that the G3 only has hicaps which could affect performance with its progressively reducing tension

my profile picture clearly shows the problem

I am deeply unhappy about how visible my scope lens cover is. I cant see anything through it so it has to be flipped up to use it. I was thinking of tail light lens spray to rectify the problem but I am open to suggestion

i have a magazine that keeps failing to feed bbs. the techie guys say there is nothing wrong with it but they are wrong and i cant find anything obvious. all i have noticed is a noise every now and again when winding the wheel which sounds like it is winding itself back a bit. having seen the price of replacement i have tried ebay and found one for half the price of a uk retailer but there is something odd. in addition to the wheel at the bottom it has a hole in the side with a detachable winding handle. what is this for? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/500rd-Hi-Cap-Magazine-for-Airsoft-Marui-Jing-Gong-King-Arms-G3-AEG-series-/201156579125?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Paintballing&hash=item2ed5ddcf35

i wonder the the anti-bully thing is a forces thing or simply a question of standards and morals. i hate them too and being honest, with cyber-bullies i do take great pleasure in ripping them to pieces using intellect and humour rather than lowering myself to their tactics of abuse and obscenities. their goal is always to upset their victim and nothing winds them up more than the victim showing absolutely no sign of this because they are then becoming frustrated. once that begins it is simply a case of adding a little humour to your own reasoned debate and when the opportunity presents itself (as it always will), humiliate them into submission. 90% of them will suddenly disappear and will not respond to your posts. all you have to do is remain polite and put forward a reasoned response to whatever gibberish they are throwing at you. when they give you the opening you go in for the kill and call their bluff or whatever the situation calls for. even some sarcasm if it can be presented as banter. providing you have a quick wit and you know what you are talking about then the end result will only be a matter of time i remember a guy known as space cadet. he was well known for his tall stories but he slipped up big time with me. he spinned me some yarn about working for the RAF as a civvy in whatever war zone was recently started. his story was that the army boys had done a 6 month tour and had almost set up communications then he went over and it took him 2 weeks to finish the job of setting up morse communications for the RAF. my response was that i served in the signals and therefore knew that the army had binned morse 8 years ago (at the time) and didnt realise that the RAF had kept using it after the army binned it. i could almost hear the 'OOPS' in his head

its really only a combination of looking at what you want from the sport and observations. the common element seems to be a day out with the boys (and a few girls) enjoying ourselves without getting too serious about the results. you win some, you lose some but there are never arguements, just a bit of banter which is fine as long as you keep your sense of humour about it

my last troop OC was like that. some sproggy 2nd LT who thought he knew it all. it didnt take him long to lose the respect of the lads
-
i have just mentioned on facebook tonight that one of the main attractions to this is the attitude between players. once you are at a site it is a utopia where we can forget the outside world and concentrate of having a bit of fun with the lads and it doesnt really matter if you win or lose. it about participating in a team sport with others who are also there to spend the day enjoying ourselves miles away from the monumental supply of tossers out there in the real world. no doubt there will be some bad apples around in this world but so far the overwhelming majority are decent and respectful people
-
i have a problem there. being signals, we didnt do fieldcraft as individuals. i havent done that since basic training because we were more concerned with cam nets than cam cream. this is probably part of the reason i always get shot in airsoft
-
they all appear to have that problem. on monday i went to buy an adapter to fit a suppressor to my G3 and bought a CO2 pistol but they only had a choice of 2 in stock
-
i dont have anything specific in mind Ian. i just thought i would throw a basic idea around and see if anyone would actually be interested in a longer session. as it turns out, there is one being planned as a result of this. i dont know the details but it will be going ahead in about a month and it will be along these lines ie sleeping out in the field. not exactly what i had in mind but different from the usual 9 - 5 airsoft days
-
hence the question mark over their service. we have ex forces here yet we do not show the same level of narrow mindedness displayed on that forum and i am not referring exclusively to airsoft. those who did serve tend to be more accepting because we had to be so people who claim to have served yet have complete disrespect for anyone outside of their group make me doubt that they have served at all. there are some exceptions to every rule but i would say that it is in our nature to be accepting and open minded. you had to be or you couldnt trust anyone you shared a room/regiment/battlefield with. you simply could not have an armed forces with that kind of culture in it it would be interesting to see how they react to an ex serviceperson promoting this sport to them
-
CO2 it is then. I just tried an ebay search and the possible prices are roughly half so I feel better about using it now. Not sure about the brands though. 1 deal appears to be unbranded and some others I have never heard of. Umarex and ASG are there so I may stick to them rather than risk inferior goods

they got my rifle cleaning rod out to me when no other retailer seems to be able to get their hands on them. it may seem insignificant but you can buy a RIF anywhere but getting the rare items is when you really notice the difference between them
