  1. East German Army Travel Bag in Raindrop camo @ £6.99 from my local Irish menswear. Brought as my old pack decided to tear along the bottom the other day. Going to use it as part of my existing STALKER loadout for spare ammo, gas mask, gas, snacks, etc.
  2. Beautiful piece of kit that mate, mighty tempted to get my own haha
  3. I know next to nothing about Brit kit, so I'm happy in my ignorance when I watch this - I actually think it's quite good compared to most of the crap on BBC3.
  4. There's also the KWA one for a little more - managed to pick one up for £80 a while back but sold it as 10 round mags were £25 each. Anyway here's part of my stalker loadout - missing my back pack, Tokarev holster and respirator but you get the idea:
  5. If you're after Russian gear try Frontoweic - Polish so the prices are dirt cheap. Even including postage. Like I said previously - I run a kzs jacket as part of my loadout, will try to get pics up if this thread is still active when I get back home.
  6. Despite the two tone, that's close to what my Maruzen ca870 looks like nowadays...
  7. I had one as my first foray into AEGs and I recently brought a new one since I loved how much fun it was for such a cheap price. As mentioned they shoot a bit hot of of the box so a spring downgrade is a must for most sites.
  8. Surplus Russian greatcoat if it's particularly cold, otherwise I just wear a poncho over my usual gear - cut it in places to make it easier to reach my belt rig as a chest rig is too cumbersome under the poncho.
  9. Don't worry about it too much - my first gun was a shotgun and I still had a lot of fun with it. Still run one as my main primary weapon to be fair. It can be used in woodland if it's dense enough but in open areas you'll not very effective at all.
  10. Only thing worth doing is loading your shells with .25 gram BBs for the extra range and tighter groupings. Other than that just accessorise it externally to your hearts content. That said, there are replacement loading nozzles available but it's not worth it since they cost as much as a new shotgun would.
  11. I was only passing through on my way to work, makes it even better haha
  12. Genuine USSR belt 50p Scrim net scarf £2 Just from a flea market I passed through today. Very pleased haha
  13. It's a regular player who's taken it over - their first game day was Sunday and it wasn't much different to how the previous team ran it.
  14. Would post pictures if I had any, and since I'm not at home at the moment I can't take any till I get back in two weeks (working away at the minute). For the jacket it's down to what you want to use. I have the kzs for summer use (since it's very thin) but for winter I use an old trench coat I brought from a charity shop. Underneath that I have my chest rig over a plain black sweater - nothing too fancy. My winter version is my favourite of the two though since it has that faded Fallout-esque look to it. The mask I got from Homebase - they're used in painting so you can find them in pretty much any DIY shop. That mask in particular cost me around £25 since I didn't want one with orange filters. There's no set definition for a stalker style loadout as it is tailored to each stalker. For mine I based it heavily on pictures from games and movies: the Fallout series, stalker, metro 2033/last light, zombie films, end of the world style artwork... I used all of these as an influence for mine. As long as you steer more towards Eastern Bloc themes you shouldn't have a problem. Edit: Used the wrong mask in my original post. I have a Moldex 8111N respirator:
  15. Remember: it's not allowed to be clean. Surplus stuff looks more authentic since it's already fairly worn down in most cases. Brand new stuff looks too clean to fit into the theme. I'd avoid flecktarn for that reason as well - doesn't really match as much. Russian, Czech or even Ukrainian patterns would be a better fit and are easily found online. Your choice though since it's your loadout, but I use a kzs1 jacket over surplus olive drab combat trousers. Also for webbing; if you can get it then go for Russian surplus like a lifchik which fits the time period the game is set in. If not then 58 style webbing also will fit - stalkers don't use modern military kit. With my stalker loadout I don't use my gas mask in game - I use something like this: Doesn't look out of place with everything and also acts as fairly good face protection. Overall you really want to avoid modern tactical kit (e.g. MOLLE) since stalkers use what they can scavenge. Part of the fun is thinking up of home made solutions to something you need, which in turn makes it look more authentic.
  16. Decent sites in or within reach of Leicestershire: MAW Airsoft in Melton Mowbray - mix of woodland and village areas, fairly big site and probably one of the cheaper ones. The Gaol (can't remember where it is) - old prison complex, very CQB but a lot of fun. The Towers in Leicester - CQB and a very good site, just a little bit expensive. The Asylum in Kidderminster - FIBUA and open areas, very good site that pulls a number of people. I live in Loughborough, so these tend to be the main sites I go to.
  17. I presume you're referring to the rubberised m04 gas masks with the built in fans? If so they don't hold up to prolonged AEG fire - sometimes the force of the impact simply knocks the lense out if not completely breaking it. You can buy Airsoft lenses for s10 masks on eBay though - worth looking into if you're set on a gas mask.
  18. WE Hi Capa 7.1 Dragon with two mags. Swapped it for my KJ Works P226 - fair trade as it is a lot of fun to use
  19. Slight hijack (but on topic), has anyone got any links for a decent yet cheap radio? Additionally are there any rules or regulations to owning one? If so what is an alternative?
  20. You could throw the BBs further than they'll shoot. Around 240 fps (top end) so fine for CQB style sites but anything else you'll have to forgive your enemies for not noticing they've been shot by one. Like others have said, the TM is better but I personally wouldn't buy one as you could buy a decent mp5 for that price and get more bang for your buck
  21. Airsoft Sniper Parts UK - best place for parts I've seen. Darren who runs it really knows his stuff: http://www.airsoftsniperparts.com/apps/webstore/ Also has a "pre-owned" section where you can grab some decent pre-upgraded rifles.
  22. My pistol only loadout. ASG MK23 SOCOM GNB Pistol. - 4 x 26 round magazines (ASG). - ASG MK23 Silencer (only use on woodland sites). KJ Works KP-01 (P226) GBB Pistol. - 2 x 24 round magazines (KJ Works/WE). TRMR Impact Grenade. - 10 x .209 Primers. Plastic "combat knife" for melee kills. Blue Force Gear Ten-Speed SR25 Chest rig. Drop leg holster for the P226. Webbing belt with dump pouch (also used as holster for MK23), pouch for TRMR, secure/zip pouch for primers and sheath for my knife. Very lightweight and maneuverable in both woodland and CQB sites. I run the MK23 as my primary weapon as it's light, very quiet (virtually silent from ten feet away with the silencer), accurate and very gas efficient. I only use the silencer in woodland sites since the barrel extension ramps the 300 fps up to 400 fps - DMR power levels - which means I have a 30m MED. The P226 is my back up gun in case I have issues with my MK23 or if I'm engaging at ranges closer than 30m in woodland sites.
  23. Pretty much, I'd rather have a gun I know works than take the risk of using my g36 which isn't working at the moment in case it's more broken than I think it is. So I thought I'd let an actual tech sort the beta out for me whilst I wrestle with the g36. Cheers for the advice though.
  24. Umarex Beta Spetsnaz AK47 - £109.99 330fps downgrade - £39.99 From actionhobbies. Budget rifle as my G36 is being fixed but I used to have one and really enjoyed using it - very sturdy rifle for the price even if it's cheap pot metal. Got them to downgrade the fps to 330 for me as well since 370 is a bit too hot for most sites
  25. Pretty much, tap them on the back/front and whisper "Knife kill"/"You're mine now..." in their ear. Done right you can make a grown man cry/wet himself/both haha Depends where you go as some sites allow some antics like throwing knives (fake ones of course) at people. Edit: I hate iPhone predictive text.
