  1. Pretty much. All brands have lemons and all brands have dogs that you should avoid, even high end retailers. The trick is learning which is which.
  2. Uh, nope, it was a bad pun about this decidedly dodgy film from the 1930s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_des_Willens
  3. Welcome, I just hope you don't regret buying anything from JustBBGuns. Top tip - don't buy from a site with the word 'BB' in its title, their goods are not the best quality and they exhibit some decidedly shady business practices. When buying a beginners gun, feel free to ask on the forum but give some form of price range. There are some excellent cheap guns out there (CYMA AKs for instance) not sure about this one you have bought though! Hope it lasts a while.
  4. It's OK, I hear they're biting the bullet and finally downgrading the Commodore 64 to an Amiga. Fixed that for you...
  5. Yeh avoid the Double Bell K98k, if you want a spring K98k try the Snow Wolf one, its decent and cheapish in both plastic and wood bodies https://gunfire.com/en/products/sw-022-kar98-rifle-replica-1152224414.html https://gunfire.com/en/products/replika-karabinu-wyborowego-s-t-kar98k-old-wood-1152231291.html. Can't comment on the CYMA Thompson. Link to the Taiwangun CYMA Page here https://www.taiwangun.com/carbines-rifles/0,cyma . They arent shipping to the UK currently but apparently will be again soon. The Arcturus range of AKs is a bit more pricey but excellent guns as well......
  6. Which whilst wonderful has absolutely zero relevance to an airsoft GBBR. The GHK has a number of quirks it takes time to get to know them to get it running nicely, but hey good luck with that and your real life armourer, I am sure he has a lot of experience with GBBR airsoft toys
  7. Might be so but to be honest a bit of overkill on such a cheap gun.
  8. If someone offers you one for £450 bite their arm off because they are a fool, especially if it has magazines and is functional. If its not functional I would still buy it as they are easy to fix, I am particularly good with them but lets face it you have burnt that bridge
  9. Backing up everything thats been said, CYMA AKs should only be bought from the CYMA 040 range but they will last a LOT longer than the one you have bought and be a damn sight more enjoyable for your son. More expensive, yes (around £120-£150 from Taiwan Gun, other retailers especially UK may be more expensive). Oh and don't use the provided charger, it is China made and WILL probably burn your house down.
  10. Know your market is the message fella, if you take offence at someone saying LOL then you are going to go around being butt hurt a lot. I believe its a phrase in common usage meaning Laugh Out Loud, I am not sure how that in any way can be interpreted as being immature. And maybe actually contribute something to the forum other than your 6 posts before you go slinging mud
  11. If you have seen one sell at £250 then I have some magic beans I would like to sell you. Seen them go for cheap when? 2013? Yet you acknowledge they are rare and good bits of kit......hmmmmm doesnt quite add up does it?
  12. Not a massive AEG user but I would question the need for a mosfet in a G&G Combat Machine.......
  13. Maybe include what type of mags fit? If I recall Viper Tech takes WE mags.
  14. Yep. I have GHK AKs down to a fine art. Temperature is the only thing that really bothers it and it has to be below 10C for it to start to struggle. The MWS is reliable as always.
  15. Just reported it. Maybe get everyone to do likewise? Hopefully just a mistranslation
  16. Fingers crossed they start soon as I rather fancy one of the modern AK Arcturus make...
  17. Depends on your budget, if you want good performance then I wouldn't say no to the CYMA range of AKs. Just make sure you stay in the 40 -series and not the 20 - series designation. I think the CYMA AKS74U is model 0.35 or something. LCT or E&L are both equally good, E&L probably shade it slightly with some of the feature set of their V2 guns but the externals of them need more care as they will rust.
  18. All brands have good and bad guns. I would suggest that you put forward some models that you are interested in. Being an AK fanatic I would recommend any of the following E&L, LCT or CYMA for AEG and GHK for GBBR. No idea re M4s. LCT in general are pretty decent actually
  19. Personally I don't think their AEGs are all that. Previously, 5-10 years ago yes, absolutely, when other manufacturers struggled with QC etc. But not now, and especially given their rather singular focus on the Japanese market which usually necessitates upgrades to attain UK FPS levels. You are buying for the name and reputation. Now, where they are absolutely the best is in their range of pistols and GBBR, which are pretty much universally excellent.
  20. Shit like this is why I stick to gas guns, which for all their faults are simpler to work on and I can at least physically see whats happening with the mechanics
  21. @Davegolf any sign of the Super Nubs being in stock? I am assuming its you that runs that business? Please correct me if I am wrong...
  22. Might be the approaching tinkle of the 'festive' season and Little Scammer Johnny has been promised a new gat but Big Scammer Johnny can't source or afford one. Or I could just be a cynical old cop.
