  1. Yes. The diameter (ie width) of the scope body is the size of ring mounts you will need, to fit on a Weaver / Piccatiny 20mm rail. 1 inch is the most common scope diameter iirc.
  2. I bought a padded support gun sling for my Star M60E4 a few years back, think it was King Arms, and while its OK, it is still difficult to carry the gun slung on either side of the body as either the box mag or the bolt handle prevent it being comfortable. Carrying it slung on your back risks bb's escaping from the mag at a rapid rate. Not a good look! Also it only works with the gun at one side, sling over one shoulder, if the sling is fitted to the top buttstock loop, and then it lolls about in your face when you try to aim so its not terribly practical tbh.
  3. Get a decent grip, I had a similar problem with a clone grip, couldn't push the motor far enough into the grip!
  4. You need to measure the diameter of the scope body, very often it will be 1 inch but they can differ, and get mounts to suit the diameter, mounts this size are fairly widely available from airsoft stockists to fit 20mm rails, they're also called Weaver rails, typically around £15 you can also get them from any decent gun shop. You'd also need to consider whether you need high or low mounts to suit your eye relief.
  5. I'm not sure but afaik Magpul only do M4 mags. Have you considered a Cyma AKS74U? Folding stock, classic short assualt rifle, seems quite well thought of on here, and has a metal receiver to boot. Or maybe a G & G MP5, fiber body versions come in about that price. Anything in particular you fancy?
  6. Is it the same make mag as your others? If not it could be tolerences are out which is causing the misfeeds (and maybe the damage to the loading nozzle)?
  7. Unusual for Marui mid cap not to function perfectly. May be worth getting the supplier to swap it under warranty.
  8. (Click image to enlarge) My old school AK47, Started out as bog standard Cyma folding stock, plastic body variant, now sports an Element metal receiver, King Arms metal front set, full sanded and re-stained wood kit and upgraded internals with TM hop unit, quite a heavyweight now, mainly use with Vietnam or insurgent / PMC loadout.
  9. Welcome Draco, main thing is try a few sites if you can, run with hire AEGs to start with, and get a feel for different weapons and loadouts . There are many different games from basic "capture the flag" to full on 24+ hour milsim games and everything in between; playing an online game is totally different to airsoft as Samurai said, for example generally if you get hit once you are out and need to respawn, though some games will allow medic rules, and as a newbie you will get shot a lot more times than you hit someone else, mainly because more experienced players will know the site better than you and they may well have much better set up guns. If you take the time to learn from others you will see the benefits in your own abilities. Sniping in airsoft is a whole skillset in itself, yes you can use a bolt action rifle by all means if its your thing but if you're attacking you will be at a disadvantage compared to an AEG until you have learned the stalking skills required to get the best from a sniper role, and also if it fires above 350FPS in most cases you will have a MED (Minimum Engagement Distance), generally around 30m, so you can't engage anyone nearer to you than that. I suggest you just get some airsoft skirmishes under your belt, talk to more experienced players and learn how to play effectively, don't get disheartened if you get shot a lot, learn from it and you will quickly improve. Above all have FUN doing it!
  10. Agreed. If that was actual game play I wouldn't want to play there.
  11. Yes its same part no as your link (22): www.fire-support.co.uk/product/kwa-glk-part-22-nozzle Can't link direct from my phone sorry!
  12. Firesupport show 3 KWA Glock ones in stock, thought they were similar internally but could be mistaken.
  13. Not too sure tbh, you could try Elite Shooting Center, they do a lot with pistol bits, upgrades, replacement parts etc iirc?
  14. Above 2 posts sum it up pretty much. First though try a few guns at your local site and see what suits you, most people will be happy to let you take a few shots. If you can, hold off the temptation of buying a 2 tone gun, play using hire kit and then get your UKARA registration and buy a RIF (Realistic Imitation Firearm - IE a realistic coloured airsoft gun) instead.
  15. Firesupport should have what you need.
  16. Sounds unusual, on the plus side it's better than not locking back after the last shot is fired which I've known to happen. Are the mags the same make as the gun? If not it could be tollerances are out?
  17. I generally play woodland, if I get BBs dropping out of overhead foliage onto me I wouldn't take it but if I'm behind foliage and getting lit up, with BB's coming through I will, even if they're not hitting me, as they've clearly got the drop on me.
  18. Basically you need you prevent some gas getting to the BB, but not the blowback so just reducing the amount of gas at the mag valve isn't recommended. So you need to dismantle the blowback unit, inside is a plastic pin valve with a spring. The front of this valve is a 3 or 4 sided section which looks like a + or Y when viewed from front. This allows gas to channel toward the hop unit. Basically you need to bulk this area up a bit to cut back the flow of gas. I used small sections of plastic glued to the valve channels with solvent Plastiweld. When cured I sanded it to more of a rounded profile so it would still move freely in the blowback chamber. There was a fairly similar step by step article in AI mag a few months back where they made a new valve for a GBB MP9 but the idea is the same in principle.
  19. Yeah I put a thread in about that a few months back, but since found a slightly simpler method but it still requires work on the valve. I believe Rock Climbey Dave on this forum may be able to sort you a pre downgraded Mini Uzi- they are fantastic fun, and G & P now do a sexy metal receiver for them too!
  20. Interesting stuff! Even in China I guess there can only be so many factories turning out airsoft guns.
  21. I'm surprised if that's the case, as ootb my KAC PDW has an aluminium piston head, stainless cylinder and a much more torquey branded motor than any JG gun I've seen before, and even sounds nice too. I'm pretty sure box (which is full coloured with illustrations) says made in Hong Kong too. It's not as nicely finished as the VFC but it does carry full trades, which isn't something JG are known for lol! Got it when Airsoft World were doing them for £150.
  22. Prob have to use the upper that comes with it as tolerences may be different to G & P.
  23. I've got their PDW and its excellent imho. Internals are much better than a lot of clones. I just swapped the spring out and fitted a TM hop rubber (its a metal hop) and Madbull Black python tbb. Run it off a 10.8v NiMh in PEQ, great rof and accurate. Had no problems whatsoever.
