Guy selling M249 on facebook sales page. Says he needs money quick. Ask about age of the gun "dunno mate" FPS of gun "dunno mate" no mods or extras. I give him an offer of £150 as its around 60% of RRP. "I'm looking for more like £200 mate" Tell him that you can get them new for less with a warranty. Says whatever after me telling him that its a fair price for a gun that has unknown age and FPS but then about 45 mins later comes back with £160. Many chuckles were had.

Bottledtorment reacted to TheFull9 in Rail Covers
Of course the metal clip scratched paint off the rail. It's a sharp metal edge scraping against super cheap airsoft paint; that is going to happen and the real KAC panels those are cloned from do the same thing. The other issues are different but the paint scratching is not the fault of the particular covers you've purchased.

Just saying that P90 mags are one expensive and two a b*tch to find

Bottledtorment got a reaction from Sitting Duck in Best M4 for Milsim and upgrading.
To be honest I feel like HPA is devoloution for airsoft (makes us more unrealistic having a hose and tank) and the Tippman system to me (my opinion) is not my cup of tea due to Co2 for non HPA.
So all in all good ol' AEG it would have to be

You could get one prebuilt for less than that already. But if you did want to build your own id go with either a G&P or VFC CQBR with colt trades.

The Silverback PP-19 Bizon 2 I have is a great gun - compact, but not in a way that obliges those with long arms to scrunch them up to shoulder it. The only problem with it is getting used to the mag change - it requires you to fit the hooks on the end of the mag onto twin bars under the front sight pillar, which is fiddly so not easy to do quickly and, so far, impossible without looking at it. The mags make the release catch pretty stiff too, so I have to press the catch to make sure it locks in place, which also makes it a little more difficult than most mags to remove, but i'm disinclined to shave any more off their pegs in case being looser stops them feeding properly. I would have liked to fit a steel extended magazine catch, like this LCT one:
...but the stock trigger guard is riveted in place.
Which left the only option being one of those bolt on types, so I bought a polymer one from khmountain_uk on fleabay which was only £5.99 posted...
...so no great loss if it turned out to be useless.
As it turned out it seems to have been made for catches longer than the average you find on AK's, but certainly longer than on my Bizon. There is a 3rd grubscrew which you can't see in that pic, which tightens against the opposite side of the catch, if the catch reaches it, which mine doesn't. It is the way that they tighten against each side which keeps the thing from falling off, so I was worried that that indeed is what would happen to it. To cut a long story short then, I am hoping that this piece of metal which I Dremmeled up from an old PC blanking plate will do the trick:
...ignore the label, it's just to get my phone camera to focus.
And a gratuitous whole gun on camo pic:
...just because

Bottledtorment got a reaction from Ian_Gere in DIY
So this week has been very productive in the DIY section of my airsoft week
Firstly the Rail top cover for Ian
Took me about an hour on a miller (needs welding to the top cover)
Next I hand sewed a NSW ballast for my MICH 2001
And finally I modified my MAP to allow it to interchange between compact and large

As promised here's the photos of my clone JPC (really bad quality but has spurred me to buy a real one) at some point
and the Modular pack which definately needs modding to stop it catching on my belt

At the STALKER Milsim we had to type in a series of password and codes into a laptop which was centered in the site meaning all enemies came at the building making it very interesting for me to touch type and shoot,

I'm not a user of counter weights but wouldn't a double 40mm pouch do the trick? (with MOLLE replaced with some hook and loop velcro)
