Dodgy derelict I am afraid ?

Just picked up this bad boy TM MWS AKM it feels so solid, sounds great, really accurate (only tested on a short range) …. Now too see if it needs a super nub ?

I got a message back from fire support regarding the g&p m110 barrel nut tool, it doesn’t fit the mk18 rail castle nut ??

And done .... just need to print a new plastic insert with a taller one ?

I decided to have a change of approach, to have it made was going to be quite expensive (and lacking a metal 3d printer or a lathe/milling machine, it’s out of my reach) ... so I have come up with an idea to modify a spanner, this is going to involve welding and grinding, but it should be a lot easier to make with the tools I have

Well from my wayyy earlier post, my MG ZT 190 went beyond economic repair (that and £280 road tax and £75 every 3 weeks in fuel) so I got a b6 Passat ..... what a mistake, everything that could fail ... failed and I do mean everything (steering column lock, turbo, even vw dealer failed to tighten cam bolts when I had the belts done, EPB, injector wiring loom etc etc)? .... 18months of .... hell? so for the past year I now have a 2016 Nissan Leaf .... motoring has never been sooo cheap (£15-£20 a month electric, no road tax etc), no cambelt, no clutch .... just brilliant!

I placed an order with them when they was impulse, I got half the order, they then went bust, opened as impulse101 the next day, then had the stones to email me telling me that I wasn’t going to get the rest of my order ... but I could order it again from them!!!

Silly question time! am I correct in saying that I absolutely have to remove the barrel to access the hop unit? and I need the Laylax ngrs barrel nut tool?? (To do it properly.... I am a engineer... correct tool for correct job etc)

Mine? Well I have known the owner of the shop for years .... so I got a good deal, mk18+4mags+Tm XL speed loader for £750

So I popped into my local airsoft shop .... and this happened ???

The mk18 is on pre-order at my local shop for £495 (but with a note that this may go up etc). I am not a fan of the shorter cqbr style, I prefer the barrel to extend slightly, like the standard m4a1 mws, think g&g R8-L (I sound old and cranky now lol .... but I know what I like ?) I just love the look of old akm’s .... and I do happen to have a RS nsp3 (soviet era night sight) iirc

Cannot believe it been almost 5 years since I started this thread ? been printing loads of stuff (and 650 face shields during the initial wave of covid), not much airsoft though, but I did make this over silencer mod that gave me a nice optic rail for my glock

She is abit of a gas Hogg ? I built her to use full auto more then semi, hence the hpa 900rd electric fed mag, and she uses a full 48ci tank per 900rds iirc (it’s been a while since I last used her so I may be wrong here)

I dunno ... as the years go by, I am less and less of a m4 fan ? I do kinda like the mk18 (wish it had a extended outer barrel though). My main concern is availability of M4 mags, I know my local shop had 20’ish (all they could get) coming.... but there all pre-sold now. Then again with the ak, there is probably going to be a equal demand etc edit:- I tend to keep going back to blasters bb’s
