  1. Just a follow-up. Got some new sights for my G18c; they sent me white instead of the green ones I ordered and didn't offer to replace them when I asked. Can't say I'm that bothered, but if it'd have been a mix-up on anything more significant then it would've been a bit more than annoying.
  2. Generally more hop = less FPS, but the change is negligible if you're just adjusting it.
  3. I've made three orders from these chaps now. One is in the post right now and the other two I've had just fine. I'd thoroughly recommend them based off my experience as I have had to contact their customer support before and they seem to be very quick to respond. Did you try speaking to them about the midcaps? They probably won't even ask for you to send them back so you'll end up with some free stuff.
  4. I've had this issue before. Ring Parcelforce and give them the tracking number; they'll tell you on the spot if it's waiting for duty to be paid and you can do it there and then rather than having to wait for them to send you a letter.
  5. I've had this happen to me before and PayPal will attempt to withdraw the fund again within a few days; it'll likely fail and then they'll put your PP account into the negative (which is easily rectified by 'withdrawing' to your account). It happens simply when the bank's automated fraud flagging cancels a payment to PayPal, but they will become aware of it within the next few days. Nothing to worry about. As has already been said, it's PayPal's problem and the seller won't be out of pocket.
  6. Had dealings with these chaps over the past week. Good range of products, and a lot of stuff that one can't get without going direct to GHK (or through Samoon) so I was quite pleased at being able to get a few new o-ring sets for my mags and a valve key. Delivery was cheap and quick, but for some reason one of the sets of o-rings wasn't included. I e-mailed them and Iain sorted everything out very quickly; I've just had the last set delivered in the post this morning. All-in-all, very impressed. Great range, good prices and excellent service.
  7. Almost done with my G&P WOC. Just need a genuine front MBUS now and it should all be set to get the unfair advantage™©®. Also the weird way in which my phone camera 'lightens' the centre of the photo makes it seem like there's been a fairly recent murder in my house. I can assure you that to the best of my knowledge this isn't the case.
  8. They are GHK's official distributor, IIRC. They can directly order you spares and the like from the GHK factory. Basically, if it's GHK then they can sell you it (or get you one to buy). Just e-mail them.
  9. I've ordered from these guys before and had mixed experiences. A recent purchase, however, has made me never want to use them again. So I ordered a G&P M2 red dot. The first problem arose here: I didn't receive a single e-mail after paying for the item. I've had them before, and thought this must be in error, so I sent them an e-mail and - after 3 days of waiting - they got back to me with a tracking code. These things happen, so it was fine. Fast-forward 10 days or so, and I've got the aimpoint: I take it out of the box, throw in some batteries and nothing; it's broken. I try different batteries, and make sure I've got the batteries in the right way around - nothing works. I send them an e-mail, and after a few days of waiting, they say they'll send a replacement. Excellent news - a free replacement without the need for returning mine. I ask them to check the packaging this time as the aimpoint was rattling around in the box a lot and that that could have something to do with it. I get the replacement, and it's not working either. I also notice that, again, the damn thing is poorly packaged and has been rattling in the box through its journey. I take pictures, and record a video showing that the thing isn't working. I also provide some instructional images on how to pack the optic without it rattling around (it just needed some bubblewrap). I send this all off, and they - this time - request I return the products before a refund. Well, it cost me $44 shipped, and shipping it back would perhaps cost me another $15-20. I really didn't want to end up paying $60 for a half-guarantee that they might send me one that's working. At that point, I'd rather buy one from the UK at a massively inflated price. I offer to pay the shipping on a second replacement; they agree. I ask them to take a picture of a.) how its been packed before its sent and b.) the optic working before they send it I get the second replacement and surprise surprise, it's another lemon. It's also been rattling around in the box the whole way here... again. I requested the images I asked for of it working before they send it, but they never took any. I've now been sent three of these optics and none have worked; G&P make some of the better aimpoint clones, and I don't believe for a second that all three were busted before they left their factory. Either they were aware that they were sending me a broken product (or just didn't test it as the claimed they had) or the packaging was responsible for it breaking in shipping. So, as you can imagine, that's the last time I'll be using these guys for any purchases. It's a shame, because their shop has some fairly nice stuff in it that's hard to get elsewhere.
  10. Official reseller of GHK everything. Anyway, I was in dire need of some proper green gas mags, and apparently their gen 2 ones are proving to be pretty competitive (apparently hands-down beating reliability when compared to the ProWin mags, anyway). So I initially made an order, and, being the idiot I am, I managed to buy 5 of the wrong magazines. Realising my mistake the next morning, I immediately rattled off a PM and has a reply back from Samoon himself after 3 hours saying that they'd cancelled the order and that it had all been refunded. Anyway, I then went on to re-order 6 of the gen 2 M4 magazines - the order came to $365 shipped (so that's $65 postage - not cheap, but not expensive given the weight of the order). Dispatch was fast; the package was sent out within 6 hours, and, I'd been told that they'd thrown in a t-shirt and some high viscosity silicone too - the combined value of which would have been ~$15, so it was a nice thought. It was shipped with EMS and although I initially couldn't get any shipping information to display, a quick e-mail to Samoon revealed there was a 2nd, more reliable tracking website that was well updated and showed every stage of the journey (including the customs process). From the checkout to my door, I'd say it was exactly 6 days (two of those being the weekend) - on something that did require duty payment, I was pretty chuffed. The whole thing was packaged nicely too. All in all, a big thumbs up from me. I know of people on Gasguns who swear by this website for various GHK replacements (ask Samoon and he'll provide prices for every last bit) and although I was buying for my G&P, I'm pretty content with the knowledge that if something goes wrong, I'll have somewhere to easily buy replacements (something I cannot say so easilly about ProWin or G&P brand mags).
  11. A 640M won't do you much good. Even my Macbook has a 650 and that only does so much for gaming. Look for a 655 or above, or drop down to the 500 series and more bang for your buck - the 600s don't have that much over the 500 series anyway. Apart from that, seems decent. Just bear in mind that you'll always be paying a huge premium for going with a laptop. Truly ask yourself if you're making the right call here over a desktop because your laptop will be redundant in about two years time even if you buy top of the range - can you really not shuttle a microATX desktop around and buy yourself a cheap ultrabook for notes etc.?
  12. Thumbed because it's huge. Finally a new frame (to replace the cracked one).
  13. Sold out in most places, but finally got one through the Z1 forums. My old one snapped down the centre of the magwell when I first got it, and I've been using an old one from a friend for the past few months.
  14. TM G18c Annnd the tacticool one that inevitably won't cycle on full auto Frame is an ex-2-tone. Broke the old one.
  15. Avoid like the plague. My brother bought some stuff from them via me and needless to say, his M4A2-type-ish thing arrived broken. Not wanting for him to be gunless while we went through the inevitably long replacement/refund process, I bought him another one (and returned the broken one assuming all would be fine). Anyway, you can guess what happened next: The 2nd gun broke after just a few days of use. Couldn't get a hold of them to get a refund sorted out properly. Returned both guns as requested (via their return form) and they just cut communication. PayPal chargeback didn't go far as they denied receipt of the weapons (yeh, both of them, in different packages). Two lessons learned: 1. Always get recorded postage on returns and 2. Never buy from these bastards. I mean, I can deal with losing £90-ish worth of plastic across two faulty rifles, but I'm guessing a lot of kids buy from these places (or their parents do) and I know (if I were in that position) I'd be damn annoyed at losing out that badly. Hey-ho.
