Been done plenty of times. Personally I think it's stupid and dangerous, no harm in using your arm to throw the thing. -
Went to MCM today, seen someone cosplaying as a Payday character whilst flailing an M4 RIF outside of the building that the event was being run, then started to walk into Manchester city with the M4 in hand. Idiot was lucky that he didn't have armed units surround him. Surprised that didn't happen actually.

If I had the money to replace the plastic furniture, I'd do it in a hearbeat.. Same with purchasing a POSP scope that is actually decent. I would if you like the amount of upgrades out there to choose from, but I like the magazine in the correct place and the use of AEG buckings, barrels and springs in the SVD.

I disagree, the plastic's that A&K use for their SVD's are fine, can definitely withstand some abuse, and if you have the money then there are woodkits available. If you're talking about A&K's anyway...

Air rifles will be much cheaper, more reliable and much more accurate than a £60 plastic gbb pistol. If you're still set on a gas pistol, get an ASG MK23, normally costs around £60, it's accurate, it won't fall apart after afew uses, and if you decide you want to start skirmishing then it's a great side arm. Pmags should fit in M4 receivers with no problems, shaving the tabs mainly applies to 416's and L85/L86's. Bit weird that your mag doesn't fit in the receiver.

G&G's CM16 are highly regarded by most of us, as they are excellent guns. If you want a gun that feels more like a gun, get the metal varients, G&P's, metal Classic Army varients or metal King Arms varients.
