  1. ^^Pretty, but too slim for my taste (a phrase I find myself uttering quite a lot, as it happens ).
  2. @M_P: there's a 12 Step Program to help with that.
  3. Oh my hole! That really is a collection of horror. The Skorpion one in particular. I feel ill.
  4. Yeah, it's a good pistol - few moving parts too, so unlikely to break easily. At the sale price of fifty notes I'm tempted: the USP frame fits very nicely in my hand. Let me know when you get yours if the slide is painted blue or blue plastic, if you wouldn't mind?
  5. When we were about 14, a mate of mine had a house party while his mum was away somewhere semi-exotic with her squeeze. Unlike everybody else whom I knew, this lad's family were minted, hence the sauna... He came out of it like a sweaty lobster, wheezing in a cloud of steam, and said, "I can't do it. I can hardly fuckin' breath and the ginger pubes are doin' me head in!"
  6. Hey Russ, whatever you like, eh? If they've been good to you, go with 'em. I mean we have got to leave room in our opinions for the fact that businesses can change and, even though cynicism is usually the best policy when it comes to determining how people will behave in relation to making money, good customer service is a way to make more money by, as with your situation, generating return business. Let us know how you get on with that Baofeng, eh?
  7. I almost went after them too... on the grounds that, when it comes to low/midcaps, you can never have too many, but I'm trying to stop buying airsoft stuff for the time being so i can get a graphics pad for me lappy.
  8. Sounds like a decent idea. Keep us posted. If it works out well, I may want to copy cos I'm not using my everyday phone on my wrist at a skirmish!
  9. In time order, not recommendation: one two three four five six
  10. I'm impressed. Pics please! A single grenade pouch ought to fit.
  11. Clone Rigger Belt (Darl Khaki) - £3.44 delivered ~ fleabay
  12. The DPM one is a different beast - a plain Assault Vest. The DDPM one is a molle vest which actually provides more flexibility than subsequent issue rigs which replaced it. If you get the pouches pictured it's a fair deal, depending on P&P, but I'd nail 'em down over exactly what pouches they have, because simply 6 ammo pouches would be a PITA - in the fullness of time you'll want the molle space for pouches to fit things like: radio &/or phone, pyros &/or BFG/s, pistol mags, serpa holster, 40mm moscart/s, shotgun shells, admin panel w/ paperwork pouch &/or a map/notebook pouch, loose BB's (can go in pretty much any good sized pouch, but you're better off using a good sized utility pouch {8"x6" min} so that you're not struggling to get them out or away again and also so that it catches any spilled BB's + you can use it for all kinds of stuff for longer games like tactical sarnies) + don't forget things which may go in pockets, but pockets can get obstructed by webbing/gear like: pocket knife / multi-tool / speedloader/s / insulation tape / cable ties / paracord / chewing gum / boiled sweets / chocolate / fags / lighter / wallet / change for brews / GPS / lens caps off sights / spare gas / camo cream / pen / sneaky beaky devices / and whatever else you might have a play with. Water is best in a back carried hydration bladder. I'm not suggesting that you will end up wanting all of the above or that, even if you do, you'll want to carry all of it at once, just that, out of 6, 2 ammo pouches will very quickly be redundant - resale value of DDPM ammo pouches = £1 + P&P. Anyhoo, the reason I came back to this thread: we've been chatting radios recently - this bloke has one each new pairs of TLKR T5's and TLKR T7's at good-to-fair prices. Auctions end Wednesday am. EDIT: this person has one of those molle DDPM vests for half the price with 4 pouches. Auction ends 22/12 11:26 am.
  13. Deej mate, if a pro seamstress will do it for a reasonable price I'd much rather not bother meself. For sure it was a joke, but i was serious about making the joke a reality from the beginning! It'll be hilarious These days you can get good quality patches made in 1's & 2's cheap enough - if somebody has a pretty new computerised embroiderer, it's no skin off their nose to only do 1. So yeah, nearer the time I'll fire up the old visual arts bone and design a Moustaffa Fez cartoon character to serve as a mascot and make an appearance on a/some patch/es. In my mind @mo I'm seeing him with an impressive tache, the tactical fez obviously; khaki/tan desert camo BDU's part unbuttoned, bit of white vest showing & chest hair - a bit jowlly... in fact the more i think about him, the more i think Moustaffa is a particularely hirsute example of the genetic heritage generated when the Ottoman Empire met Persia... ear & nose hair making a bid for freedom under eyebrows which have achieved it and set up two independent republics - bald as a vulture on top - massive nose, prehensile almost, but not angular or hooked like an Arab conk, more of a Semitic looking appendage with that Turkish cleft blob on the end; 2 x pearl handled 1911's in waist belt holsters - crack shot with a muzzle loader blunderbuss
  14. AB MOSFET - £20 posted ~ Fleabay I was tempted to try out the Pico SSR2, because the PicoSSR I had was not at fault for Phatima jamming (that was down to the screw that holds the piston head on coming loose so it and the bearing axle-washer-thingumajig rattling around inside the piston - bloody lucky i got away without loosing gear teeth or getting gouges in the cylinder). Unfortunately while I was putting her back together I managed to short some part of the circuit out so the wiring got so hot it went limp and the battery was too hot to handle easily... it seems the FET didn't appreciate that because it's permanently 'on' now When push came to shove though, the PicoSSR2 is £21.50 delivered from Fire Support and this'un is active breaking. That said, had FS had any of the Pico AB ones left in stock, I was impressed enough with the 1st one to have paid the £28 delivered for it, but they didn't. Anyone got any experience/gossip with/about JeffTron MOSFET's? They're cheap from gunfire.pl Edit: I also just bought this => 1/6th scale (I don't want the Garand but it was a lot of 2 for half the price of the next cheapest) But why? Why oh why Ian, you dopey cnut? What possible use is a 1/6th scale non-shooting model gun on an airsoft field... Weeeeeell... it's because along with the Cheburashka patch on my KLMK's, I'm going to find room on my Soviet webbing for her: ...Simples!
  15. There's usually some rules that limit what you can do with a shield, like pistol shots only &/or no shooting while moving; maybe the shield has to go with you to regen if you get hit, so a whole team of you can't use it to just bulldog face through a choke point.
  16. ^^Oh right, yeah it's not a million miles from a basic yank LBV, just a bit more substantial. I'm hoping that the lace-up design will allow me to wear it tight enough to support my back without having to wear my stabiliser, but still easy enough to get on and off. I've got my RICAS set up good and tight too, but it's such a ball ache wriggling in and out of it.
  17. Desert Camo Tactical Vest - £12.55 delivered ~ Fleabay / couldn't resist it => 10% off sale I'm not entirely sure about this - it looks to be some funky pre or post PLCE experimental thingy, but I think my bodging skills are up to fitting tropentarn G36 pouches to it, so with my recent foray into MTP BDU's and my experimental G36KVS, all I need is some brown Altbergs and a tropentarn hat and that's a PMC loadout sorted. Oh yeah, and a tan belt. And knee pads. And gloves. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!
  18. Yeah, no probs. There is a 9mm adapter from Airsoft World - it's 20-odd quid though...
  19. Henry Krank Alarm Mine (12 Gauge) - £10.16 + £3.64 P&P ~ Airsoft World (Cheaper than from Henry direct doh!) Cyclone7 .209 Primer-to-12g Adapter & 100 Primers - £12.95 + 100 Primers £5 + £9 P&P ~ Combat South I'm hoping that this device will fit into a 40mm 'nade pouch, funnily enough, but as I can't find any dimensions online, I'll wait until I have it measured before forking out. That said, I'm imagining enclosing it inside some kind of metal tube, an empty Lynx can or something, to make it easier to deploy in the field without getting leaf mould / dirt / etc. squidged into the spring and safety hole, so a smoke grenade pouch might be necessary.
  20. I might get a patch made that says "Moustaffa Fez FTW!"
  21. My latest from fleabay: DDPM Bergen Cover (Large) / For OP: Shining Light - £4.49 delivered Hatch Centurion Knee & Elbow Pads / For my Black Loadout - £9.61 delivered 1.2m Rifle Wrap - £3.20 delivered Viper Drop Leg Dump Pouch OD / My gucci one is a PITA - £7.60 delivered
  22. Especially when you imagine Ed doing it. Wish my metal 7.62x39 midcaps fitted into my Inokatsu AK47S - they should do V^^V grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
