  1. I bought a pair of the full seal ones. Haven't actually skirmished for yonks and i suspect that wearing them for sex might not go down too well, so i can't comment on their foglessness once the sweat really starts to flow, but the fit is reassuring all the way around on me. They probably wouldn't fit well with an unmodified 1/2 face mask, but i have 12mm thick cheekbone pads in both of mine so they work with just about any eyepro. The only issue i can see (wait for it...) is that the black rubbery seal stuff goes across the bridge of the nose and it is prominent in my field of view. You can't cut it out either because the seal is a single piece so it would fall out without the whole loop of it. It might be possible to shave it down though...
  2. ^^The main difference being that, as Russ rightly alludes to, with it coming from the USA Customs are going to bend him over and give it to him sideways without lube...
  3. How much did the Olight cost, rexfan? Couple of dog tag silencers & some OD sniper tape from Contact Left - £9.48 posted. and a few bits for me dremmelesque Unfortunately it's going to be a lean month airsoft-wise - i just had to buy a new whistle to wear to a wedding cos i'm too fat to fit comfortably into me old one. It's getting a bit beyond what dry cleaning and an iron can do for it anyway - maybe i'll wear it to a CQB with shoulder holsters & dual wield USP's some time (I have 2 of those cheap fuckers now).
  4. Last year we were about in the middle of the right hand (non-quiet) of the rear 2 camping fields. It seemed to be ok. I mean, yeah, it's a bit of a walk compared to camping closer to the shop, but it's quiet enough to get a good kip and you don't have to feel like you have to keep your gob shut as soon as the sun gets low in the sky. I spose it would be handy to be closer to the range for zeroing sights, etc., but getting a large pitch near to the entrance of that rear field would take someone to turn up ready to get in there as soon as they open - that would be cool though, in the corner where the drag turns left to go into the rest of the field - about as close to the range, shop, & game zone as poss without being kept awake by people getting pissed all night and also not right where everyone will be tempted to take shortcuts over your guy ropes...
  5. That flash mag i ordered from HK on the 3rd arrived today. £11 and 4 days wait - that's amazing! Grapes, clementines, peanuts, cashews, hob-nobs, green & blacks hot choc and cadbury's instant hot choc (a mix of the 2 makes a really nice combination), cranberry & raspberry juice, green olives, stilton and gv tobacco... think that was it today
  6. Vortex Optics Picatinny Rail Tripod Adapter Mount So, this wee timorous beasty seems to be very rare, which is exceedingly annoying since it is a small chunk of mild steel which any enterprising student with access to the average college metal shop could knock up in a couple of hours. So potentially useful is this little fucker however that I was prepared to at least consider buying it from the USA. I mean, while the USD continues its inexorable decline towards that value which represents the worth of goods and services which can be obtained from Americans, as opposed to the worth of Saudi, Kuwaiti, and Iraqi oil (& obviously it has a long way to go yet lol), 25 bucks isn't such a kick in the stones... although once shipping and import VAT/duty is added it may have become silly. But I will never know, because this item is not for sale outside the good ol' US of A. No doubt they are concerned that the Taliban may do what I am considering and use any of a number of NV equipped devices in conjunction with a red dot sight. My question therefore comrades is this: does anyone know where I can get one in the UK/Europe/HK/China? Or of someone who would have a bash at making one?
  7. Try etsy.com for small sizes of Russian gear. If there's anything in particular you're looking for, tell me your measurements and i'll keep an eye open.
  8. Size 3 KZS berezka VDV camouflage oversuit - £55-odd posted (2 left if you know how difficult to find they are in this size).
  9. And fucking grumpy too, you pair of cheeky young whelps! I've spent longer waiting for buses than you've had hot dinners. Oatmeal? Bloody oatmeal!?! We'd have killed for oatmeal when i were a lad... nowt but wallpaper scrapings that's what we had to eat when i was transported to botany bay for carrying a realistic imitation flintlock not painted skybluepink with yellow dots on... aye, and i was lucky. Lucky not to be hanged. That's the trouble with you youngsters: no respect! Bring back the press gangs I say and hanging on the magistrates' say so... Oops, meant to say - dualdealshop on fleabay have got CYMA AK-74 flash mags for £11 posted - mad to miss out at that price really so I got one.
  10. Just bought 10 inert 7.62x54R rounds at £1 each to go on a butt stock pouch on my SVD - i recently added a piece of carved oak to extend the stock by about 40mm and stuffed the hollow plastic with some scrap metal to shift the balance of the thing back, because I'm adding a suppressor and although it is pretty light, it will get heavier when i get around to fucking about with the innards to make it actually do something more than the somewhat pathetic approx 1 pole low pass @7KHz, but besides that the steel bipod has shifted the weight forward even though it is pretty central - 10x7.62 FMJ should add a bit more weight and look uber... Picked up a double G36 mag pouch in tropentarn while i was at it - i need 4 in total but at £18-odd plus postage for surplus gear they've been on the back burner. £32-odd inc P&P from flecktarn.co.uk / not bad really Was really irritated a few days ago - got an email from airsoft-club to say Kobra sights were back in stock - sold out by the time i noticed the email a few hours later
  11. Don't get it meself. They're just dry baked flour with a taste of moody origin which disappears so quickly that you have to stuff more fresh ones in your gob to keep tasting it. They crunch for one or two chews and that's the end of their texture - they just turn into a soggy paste. Now if you want a savoury crunchy thing with a lasting taste and a texture that lasts beyond the initial chew, Hovis Crackers are where it's at. Although what we really need is for some intrepid biscuiteer to invent savoury hobnobs...
  12. 5 x MAG AK-74 midcaps in plum for £30 posted woohoo!
  13. We were all dick heads. Occasionally we are all dick heads. But there is dickheadery and then there's being an Absolute Cock, contributing to the ACF* of the site. 5:40 is a perfect example of ACF bumping. Yes cameraman, you can look around all you like, you really are the one at the front and it really is time to shut your hole and do what you have spent the last 5mins telling others to do... ^Absolute Cock Factor - ACF is a measurement of that undefinable something every site has and, since we're playing war, it's not something we are likely to completely eliminate. Good marshalling usually deflates a site's ACF, but when even just one marshal is an absolute cock themselves, the ACF is boosted exponentially...
  14. I've tried those wireless PTT's - looks like it will be excellent but the 2 that have arrived from an HK fleabayer didn't work! Need to get my money back and order from airsoft peak. Looking badder than bad, as usual, BD!
  15. Well, just to be clear and not to be all moralising or a prick or anything, but as we are a responsible forum: you cannot purchase an airsoft gun yourself until you are 18 and, if I were you, I wouldn't imagine that you will be able to i. get Zero One to bend the rules or fail to ask you for ID, or ii. get some stranger at NAE to go in the shop and buy a gun with your money for you, since legally speaking to do so is the same as selling it to you (taking your money in exchange for an item, regardless of which way around the exchanges happen) and i think Zero One do take precautions against this kind of 'hanging around outside the off licence' stylee an ting... Also you will not be able to play unless your legal guardian signs an insurance waver on your behalf. It's something we all do before playing at a site which basically says that you understand there are risks involved and that you absolve the organisers of any responsibility should you get injured (although this does not actually absolve them of all duty of care, it means that you will not have a leg to stand on if you try to sue unless something happened to you only as a direct result of a failure of something for which the organisers have sole responsibility). I dunno how Zero One go about checking this, but the minimum age for players is 14, so they must have a policy. Maybe you have to download it and fill it in beforehand, maybe someone has to accompany you to at least book in, although from what they say on their webby I suspect you may have to be accompanied by an adult to get in (They say "Children and family members are welcome to join you camping whatever the age." ie people who are not players can attend as campers only for a few quid per night instead of the whole fee.) - you should contact them and ask via [email protected] I suspect that they will have some kind of common sense solution, because the event is far too big to have the kinds of nazi rules which invite people to break them - i'm sure that if one of your parents speaks to "H" (the boss) on the phone (01329 849818 or 07951 415188) they will be able to arrange it for you to attend with a relative or other adult and just bring the signed waver with you. Even if you've only skirmished a couple of times I'd say you should go; just so long as you know you like airsoft. It's such a laugh... plus you will not get the opportunity to be a part of a bigger battle than those which take place around The Village at the end of both days anywhere else in Europe. Don't let that intimidate you. You will not have 800+ people all shooting just at you at any one time... although, if you manage to get far forward enough, it may feel like it but you will have 400+ allies shooting back.
  16. So I just booked onto The Others and paid my £25 deposit. Something I didn't know was that you can pay the remaining £60 in instalments, which can be as low as £5. That's got to be helpful to some people, I'd think. Not me mind... I'm going to wait until I get there just in case my health stops me attending.
  17. ^^Royal Artillery Regiment loadout... Rocketman!
  18. That's a nice camouflage job. What did you use?

  20. ^^that's a great looking stock & rail
  21. My Soviet VDV RD-54 pack finally repaired and with the additional correct 4 x AK-74 mag pouch and 1.5L canteen: Basically a seriously hammered piece of kit. If i'd known it was quite as knackered as it is, i may well have declined but when i get around to distressing the extra mag pouch and canteen pouch it should look TDB with my hessian sacking covered helmet... which i should also photograph i spose lol! The lid in question, an SSh68:
  22. Settled on 180mm - it will be long, but I'm 178cm and my hands come down to 10cm above my knees so it shouldn't be unwieldy. 32mm wide and interior access so I can tune it. £14.98 posted from Combat Airsofters. Only 1 left And an SHS M90 spring from Bullseye Country Sport - £9.99 posted
