The 'What have you just bought' Thread

How much did you pay, Ed, if you don't mind, and from where? -
@CKInnerly: No hooks, but yeah it has a sort-of-bum-flap. It's more of a large pocket, but the middle of it where the buttons are is shaped to fit under a crotch. It has exterior opening breast pockets under the the usual button flap ones, with vertical zips next to the main zip. Also a double fastener zip so it can be opened from the bottom as well as the top. @Sike: cheers mate!

G36 K RIS - fleabay £41.65 inc P&P - probably a little over the odds for 2nd hand really, but it looks to be in good condition and to have it a lot sooner than buying from HK for the best price is worth it to me. -
Could you ask him where he got his jacket from pls, and what make etc.? I've got a pair of G Star kecks in that colour/pattern which are uber comfy so I'd love a jacket to make a full set.
-
Perhaps you can help me then... The flash has altered the colour a little. IRL it's all about as dark as it appears at the bottom of this pic. Basically it's a DPM jacket that has been dyed, probably with black dye, but with the changed shade to something like bottle green, who knows? Maybe it was dyed dark green... Close Up: Uploaded with ImageShack.us So, as you can see, it came from your base and the bloke I got it from was selling a whole pile of surplus straight from the MOD for charity, so it was in service like this at some point. I've imagined it must be a Regiment item, for guard duty at night or something, but that's just what makes sense to me. I know enough about the military to know that what makes sense to civilians is not only of no interest in the military decision making process but, whether through design or sheer perversity, probably wide and/or short of the mark... Could you find out what it was for?

Some more 1000 Mile socks - factory 2nds this time for £4.50 inc P&P from fleabay. Set of Soviet KZS1 Camouflage kecks & hoody £25.51 inc P&P also from fleabay. - these were a moment of extravagance that I can't really afford, but they are exactly the right size for me and less than 1/2 price... i'm going with fate as an excuse lol! Oh fcuk, how could i have forgotten? Love the shower cap, Junior. All you need now is an MTP jock strap... -
Gloves. The lad needs gloves. I think it's probably because of the juxtaposition with the hat, but his poor wickle fingy-bobs look ever so vulnerable...

@36CF - your 416 looks excellent. Was that the plan, or the result of a terrible tan paint job lol?

Diabolical is a bit strong, James. Pants in hilly terrain, but fine on the flat. -

The new incarnation of Sabine, whenever I get around to it. King Arms metal front assembly + Lonex metal hop should be bomb proof in terms of stable internals and one thing that has always been part of my agenda is to quieten her down. I've tried a few different rubber bodges which haven't done much, but I have high hopes for this. Besides, I need a piston head with adjustable AOE to mate to a drilled ally/full steel teeth lightweight piston. -

Ahhhh, you just reminded me, Ed! I also ordered a Lees Precision Engineering CNC Machined V2/V3 Aluminium Airbrake Piston Head GBP12.00 / LPE -
Oh no, Grizzly. The grenade launcher looks like a great bit of kit, but the paint job won't do. It makes the thing look toylike, imo. I think you should colour the trades in white or yellow and rough up the rest; maybe add some OD cloth tape, or perhaps black...

That camo on your new bag is so cool CKinnerley! Can you get clothing in the same pattern?

Cheapo right angle slot/posi screwdrivers GBP2.94 inc P&P / fleabay - I'm hoping one of them will allow me to undo/redo the hop-unit screws on my ICS AKS74U Britool 250mm x 5.5mm slot screwdriver GBP6.91 inc P&P / primetools on fleabay - so I can reach the slot-head bolt that holds my L1A1 butt on from opening buttplate. 5m x 25mm Black Polypropylene Webbing GBP1.80 inc P&P / fleabay. - to make some adjustments to my black molle gear. PHONE COVER CAMERA POCKET UTILITY POUCH MOLLE BLACK GBP10.99 inc P&P / military_1st on fleabay - this should hold my Motorola radio & my phone, perhaps a few other bits'n'bobs. Molle 2.5L Hydration Pouch Backpack with Reservoir Black GBP10.99 inc P&P / airsoftfighting fleabay China Hydration Pack Tube Trap Clip GBP2.99 inc P&P / optimum_outdoors fleabay 1000 Mile Combat Socks Black GBP9.99 / fleabay - I've decided to give new fangled foot technology a go... & the piece de resistance - Jock Strap & Cup GBP5.98 / fleabay - ever since I got shot twice right in the bumhole (literally: I was squatting and leaning in cover so my kecks were stretched tight so I do mean my actual anus) I've had a fear of getting shot in the bellend. I mean, yeah, it hurt at the time, but it was the days later that were the real problem. I've added a strap to my drop-leg holster which holds it against my leg at a better angle, but to keep it from slipping down requires another strap attached to my belt under my crotch, which pulls my kecks more tightly around my package... making a knackers shot that makes solid contact that bit more likely. I've decided it's just not worth the risk. Edit to add: 2 x Plastic Molle 7.62 Magazine Pouch For M14 Black GBP12 inc P&P / fleabay HK - I'm hoping that these will hold my L1A1 mags nice and tight. If they do I'll get a sack full lol! -

I was just 45 and I'm on 3 AEG';s & 1 pistol (+1 2 plastic 1/2 arses that are best ignored). I've only spent a wallet-stinger on 1 of them though and that's the same with my loadouts - bit at a time, except the RICAS I bought recently, which was 2nd hand and cheap by a lot of your standards @£65.10 inc P&P and the various pouches I'm planning to get will have to trickle in... So it's not just teens, TM. I'm not going to jump on the rich-kid bash either. If my parents had had more money than they did and my dad wasn't as tight as a duck's arse under water (and airsoft had been invented), I'd have loved a whole gunroom full of choice. However, something I remember about a few kids I knew whose parents were minted (I went to a good school) was that their attitude towards cool possessions was definitely different to my own. For instance, scientific calculators had recently become available to the great unwashed and word had come down from on high that henceforth all calculators except those which were programmable would be allowed in exams. Programmable? Pro-fcuking-grammable? Well, back then t'internet was still a twinkle in Tim's eye, so finding out what one of those was wasn't that easy. But it was an intellectual exercise anyway, because, for my close friends and I, the price was so prohibitive that it just didn't matter what they could do. It took me so long to save for a bog standard Texas Instruments scientific calc that, by the time I had it, Casio had brought out a range of programmable ones which would have merely taken a few months more saving for me to buy. Anyway, there would have been no point, since I couldn't have used it in exams, and so, despite it's lack of even so minor a bell/whistle as solar panels, I loved that T120 and knew how to use all its functions except those for statistics, indeed that i can remember the name 31yrs later, even though the maths has largely fled, is testament to how much it meant to me. The thing is, without consciously thinking it, I knew that that calculator would be the only one I would ever have for the medium-term foreseeable future. There were other kids I knew who had several within a fairly short time and, except for one lad, none of them did more than scratch the surface of their machines' capabilities. They were just what we now call bling. To be fair though, a person need not be particularly arsewanking to be shackled to that treadmill. I mean, how many people have you met whose car/s cost considerably more than their transport requirements actually merit, who also must to work like dogs to pay for it/them, so that in any spare time they have when, in theory, they might take a vehicle out for no other reason than the pleasure of driving country roads, they are too knackered to do anything of the kind? -

I had the bib open in an ebay tab so when i came back after it ended one of the things ebay recommended was a set of those clips. So if you don't win, Ed, it's here. -

11Kg? That includes mags, right? That'll put some treacle on your twinkle-toes, mate! Do we know if that bib Nutster linked to has velcro hooks on the back? Probably doesn't need velcro to be able to ditch the cummerbunds to save weight, eh, but it might well feel more solid stuck in place than attached to the vest molle only at its edges, especially if it needs Malice clips. -

Good lard, man! £15! I'll have to check that out on principal... even though I don't have or want any DDPM, MTP, Coyote Brown, Chocolate Chip, or anything else that matches lol! -
Is it just me or does anybody else think that SCARs with the stock folded look really awkward?

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, I almost did the sensible thing and bought a washing machine, but... I spotted this: LCT AKMS NV (new version) AEG Price: £219.00 from Fire Support And then I thought, "Why should I spend another lot of P&P down the line?", so I also had to buy this: Kingarms AK Metal front Set with Sling adapter Price: £37.00 also from Fire Support I'm hoping that this latter will fix the problems I've been having with Sabine, my CYMA tactical AK47, by being a solid structure to bolt the hop unit to rather than the plastic one which I've damaged by unscrewing and re-screwing (up) so many times, but in truth I don't yet know if the sodding thing will definitely even fit. Hey ho, we shall see! +£8.50 P&P - not bad I reckon. Images Uploaded with ImageShack.us -
I think I probably should have waited until i have all the pouches I want for my RICAS, but I can't wait to show off the patches I got for my birthday... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
