A Falklands era surplus wool sleeping bag liner. £5.99 inc. P&P from fleabay. I got it just in case we do have any more camp out night games @Skirmish, because, as it gets colder, my sleeping bag options are limited. -
Thanks. So many guns... so little money...

What make is your G36KV, dazzer? And what RIS is that? The lug looks great. Do you know which bayonet it's for?

Love the tracer tips on the 249, Ed. George is a big lad too so it should look right on him. 7-8Kg tho... ow, shoulder! He'll need a decent sling. Sorry to be a party pooper, but I don't like that camo job, mate. Shame because the gun looks excellent with the RIS and, is that a bayonet lug?

Nah, a shirt will make the difference between a cut and just a bruise. @Ed: hope you do decide on a crafty skirmish, mate. I'd love to see it. -

I was just going to ask whether you got the desert or woodland pattern. Glad it was woodland - it looks much better Not just zero bank balance, my friend, if you can get an overdraft, that'll be gone too! Mine is hovering around -£1600 -
I think it looks cool, Ed, helmet included. Obviously you still need to sand the rubber to a matte finish and I reckon you should add the band too. If it doesn't fit properly, tell me and I'll sort it out for you. Oh, and you need a coyote dump pouch instead of black :-D

Mate, as an audio professional let me just tell you what I call the company you have just referred to - Belongs-In-The-Bin-Atone. To be fair to them, their gear does last, but I wonder if that's because people try their best not to use it unless they have no other options so it doesn't get the same amount of wear'n'tear as kit that you love. The problem is that they appear to believe that the best balancing act that can be achieved between cost and quality involves sacrificing decent shielding, which results in interference, ie hums, hisses, and break-in from transmitting radio/wireless equipment. Anyway, the Z-Tactical Bowman-copy headsets, one of which Ed will soon have, are good, reasonably priced and look cool... I'm also happy enough with the Z-Tactical PTT with the 2.5mm TRS jack for Motorola Talkabout series and XTR446's (which also fit Cobra MT series). BTW, does anybody know of any patches which say "Chairborne Infantry" on them?

Yeah, definitely a drug lord... I bought a King Arms Sector Chip Tappet Plate Delayer from Fire Support - I went with them because of all the ones in the UK that I could find, they offered the best ratio between chance of getting it quickly vs cost inc. P&P (which seems to fly in the face of the goss I've heard about them, especially since it did arrive next day for £3.50 1st Class Recorded with Royal Mail - item was £5.50) - although, as it happens, I've not yet had chance to fit it because something else annoyingly cropped up. -

A double gum shield. Hopefully it won't make my speech unintelligible over comms, or interfere with my breathing too much. If it does I'll need to rethink, maybe go for two separate single shields. It just never occurred to me before the other day when I read somebody on here say they used their rugby gum shield to protect their teeth. I couldn't care less about getting any more scars on my face, but my teeth are just too crap to risk damaging and I'm too scared of the dentist to deal with it well if the worst should happen, but even though my half face is modded so it's comfy, it does add more straps than I need to my head, obscure my vision down in front of me, and make sighting down a rifle not so straightforward. -

does it not say in the destructions, Ed? -
Yeah, I can respect that. The thing that got me hit most often at NAE12 was being too concerned about being guilty of friendly fire and, even though I often had concealment and/or surprise on my side to begin with, the hesitation either meant I only got 1-2 of a group when I could have hosed the lot of 'em, or got shot straight away after a vocal challenge. Evidently not everyone is/was as concerned as I was about blue on blue...

Bleedy, eh? Sounds good! I'm assuming that means Palco Firepower CO2 pistols are allowed? I ask because I've just been informed by Free Fire Zone that CO2 pistols are not allowed there, which is a ball ache... I noticed the tag-line "beyond 350 FPS"... What are the site limits? If I do come up, it'll be on the train.

Any more news on this site? Is it worth a treck from Nottingham? What, if any, are the standout features of the place, the marshalling, or anything else that grabbed your attention? The few photos there are on the website make the place look pretty clean & tidy; is it? If it is all nice and clean, is it still ok to charge around the place clattering off/through the furniture/fittings etc. like you would at, say, The Stan, or do you have to play nice?

Is that a 3rd one, mate? Me: Lonex Aluminium AK Hop Unit Lonex 50 deg Hop Rubber SHS Aluminium AK Air Nozzle All from Helmet World on eBay - £34.34 inc. P&P I went with them because I don't want to wait for post from HK or mainland China and the price wasn't too bad with a small P&P discount for combined postage. I was tempted by the SHS CNC Ally Hop for my AK but it's pretty expensive and all you get is the basic chamber, none of the arm etc. bits. I suppose I should have waited until I could afford to also buy Mad Bull rubbers, but hey ho, we'll get to see if these Lonex ones are any good (BTW, the clear Shark Rubber I bought previously for my AK got trashed during installation and removal for adjustment ). -

You're totally right about the mags, Ed, you tw@t! Now I can't look at them the same... we'll just have to agree to disagree that you're wrong about the stock, fat tube or no. It's clearly not my fault that your sense of aesthetics is disagreeable -

The mag looks so cool... and everything forward of that tube sticking out the back is, as already stated, so beautiful... the stock? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrgh! Just got some Web-tex 5 Colour Camo Face Paint and a Web-tex Ammo Pouch Sized Stainless Steel 330ml Flask - I'm thinking of the night game @Skirmish Airsoft on the 18th... -

10 x Red + 10 x Blue Male/Female Pairs 4mm Bullet Crimp Connectors - so I can shift the fuse of my AK forward into the handguard and also put a mosfet in there without then having to disassemble the front end any time I want to mess with the gearbox. 2 x Violet LX Tape - to wrap my mags in something immediately recognisable that isn't likely to be a team colour!
