  1. Just a shame that with a lipo it's about as much use as a chocolate teapot, eh?
  2. @Airsoft x uk: I think old skool AK's don't look right with a suppressor on, unless it's a 74U with a PBS1 or PBS4. On a tactical AK, I'd still take the front sight off and put a holo red dot on a rail.
  3. Dude/tte, empty your inbox so I can PM you about your Dragunov!

  4. ^^ Ugg boot on roids @Ed: yeah, speaking of low budget sci-fi lol! I had forgotten about that hideous monstrosity. TBH I could have done without being reminded. That said, it has got an extendible stock so it's better than a P90!
  5. You've got a point, Nutster! But at least the XM8 has the H&K G36 controls/layout so it may well look like a cross between low budget sci-fi and a super soaker, but I can't see it as worse than a FAMAS or the Baelzebub's dog humping P90...
  6. I think the P90 has it by a whisker, but between that and the FAMAS it's bloody difficult to say what is the ugliest, most awkward looking gun around (and I'm including the Chinese Type 97 in that odious selection).
  7. Yeah, like the little bastard has got any room to talk - him and his brother were wearing full on Mario suits with the hats! It's Viking - ring mail and thick leather armour, plastic broadsword, dagger, spear and kite shaped sheild... I was trying to stand on tiptoe and strike a ballet pose but I'm so out of condition these days that I lost my balance and started giggling. Pretty vacant indeed lol - it's the pain killers - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! You're sorry!?! I really hope that photo turns up. If it's in focus you should send it to AI or something
  8. Yeah, it looks seriously professional. I'd say the squares are about right. Great job for a 1st go!
  9. I'm happy for you Ed, because I know how long you've wanted one. The trades and scope do look impressive. In fact, if it wasn't for the obvious problem, I'd probably like it
  10. Hang on Ed, you've bought 2 more of the pistons you've just shredded? Oh and edit to add: I bought a 50ml sample size bottle of some gucci penetrating oil in the hope that it'll allow me to get my Krinkov broken down to put in a TBB and new hop rubber. And a OD soviet star cap badge which broke getting it out from under the tape it was packed with - er, no, that will not not do dear fleabayer...
  11. From Surplus & Lost on Fleabay Soviet Veshmeshok Backpack / Unissued ~ £12.79 delivered Soviet 0.7L Canteen and Pouch / Unissued ~ £8.98 delivered From a random eBayer: Soviet GP-7V Respirator w/ Unused Filter & Satchel ~ £11.71 delivered - I got this type in the hope that the same ballistic lenses as I have in my S10 will fit, but I can tell already that it's going to fog like a bastard so it's added to my custom mesh project.
  12. Fleabay is a wonder of the world I just bought: these Soviet uniform shoulder board stars for PLN 39.00 delivered (£7.84) - a bit overpriced really at nearly a quid each, but hey ho, with the four that I already have on a pair of the wrong shoulder boards that came on my KGB coat (Airforce Lieutenant Colonel FFS!), that gives me enough for two sets of 3 star Lieutenant-Captain's boards (of which I have one pair)... *sigh* it does seem to take a long time to find KGB gear, but when I find another pair of the right shade of blue boards, I'll be nearly ready to make a historically accurate jacket, as the collar tabs can be cobbled together easily enough.
  13. Is that a BIN price, Dazzer? If there's more do me a favour and give us the link.
  14. Falklands era MK4 helmet with the comfy inner ring that press studs onto the liner, plus the camo rags you can see. They're actually a lot browner than that and need work, but hey ho, I'm happy. Which means that my other MK4 is now for sale. Oh shit, I forgot these too: ~ £8.50 delivered ESS RX inserts for Advancers ~ £13.20 delivered from Finland of all places lol!
  15. ^^It depends on when Russian kecks were manufactured - sometimes they have the full BDU size, so 52-3 would fit you there also But sometimes you see them labelled like this 172/72/96 which I think means Height / Inside Leg / Waist and I'm pretty sure I've seen some labelled like British Army gear = 78/96/108 Inside Leg / Waist / Seat (ie I.L.+Arse) but I forget which order they put them in. UTJ probably knows better than me because I've been mainly looking around for Afghan War era Soviet gear.
  16. ^^RRP nearly £50 I've had a couple of different Gerbers in my epoch-spanning life and they've been pretty good - I'd say that their screw driver tips get deformed fractionally easier than on a Leatherman, but their blades keep their edge better. The major bonus for this size/type is that the handles are the opposite way round to Leatherman's - so the blades are accessible while it's folded, but more importantly, the grip is more comfortable when using the pliers/cutters.
  17. Gerber Suspension Multi-Plier ~ £19.69 Amazon (Save £30.00) - my last Leatherman got stolen (again grrrrrrrrrr...) but I like the look of this Gerber better anyway.
  18. @Nutster: Love the paracord round the front sight, but not the torch being so far forward it's in the flash pattern
  19. 20,000 BB KING 0.20g AIRSOFT BB PELLETS ~ £32.39 delivered They're fine. I have a bottle of Blaster 0.28 Stealth BB's (green) which I bought out of curiosity and am now using in my CO2 pistol. Further Reference
  20. You need to start leaving subtle hints around that you'd like to spend your money on gay S&M gear - she'll have no probs with you spending it all on airsoft then!
  21. I thought Joe had left his M14 on the field once... but then he turned more to face me! @Jubigala: you're welcome. Try to get confirmation on those height comparisons though, because my memory is notoriously sh!t. The only ones I'm 100% certain about are the ones that will fit me: 5'10" 42"Ch + long arms 36"W = 52/54-5
  22. It went back to your mate, UTJ?
  23. That "old style" nomenclature isn't correct and the two don't mean the same either. If the 182-108-96 / H-Ch-W is correct, the old style measurement should be 54-5 or possibly 54-6, but if the "56" is correct it will have a chest size of 44" and waist 38" and is more likely to have been made height size 6 than 5, ie for a big man, rather than a shorter, probably fatter man, but not necessarily lol... So no, unfortunately it's too big for you. You want old style 52-3. For the life of me I can't remember where I saw the height size comparison chart but it goes something like this: about 170 = 3 / about 174 = 4 / about 178 = 5 / about 185 = 6 and here's a linky for the rest.
