  1. I take it that too much grease, in a gearbox, is as bad as no grease?

It was like a mix of ear wax and dog poo.

If you ever fit bearings, too much grease will seize them up.

  2. Yes, quite true. Im ordering shims for my G&G so the MP5 might get done too.
  3. Bloody hell! Another skill I'm going to have to do to a half decent standard! lol
  4. Its already been shimmed. 😁 Not if.the giy I bought it off did it or from the factory. Im actually surprised how much grease is alteady in there! I was thinking about cleaning it up a bit. Im put at the moment but I'll take some more pics later.
  5. Going into Wrexham today so will pick up an M100 or M90/95 spring for my G&G, from the new shop. So, first time taking apart a gearbox in preparation. 😳 Im reasonably technically competent but old eyes and fat fingers might get in the way!
  6. I've recently got a G&G GC16 and had just had a similar issue. I was given an 800mAh 11.1v 20c battery with it, which is very close to the recommended spec but put it in this morning, after having a fiddle with the stock, and got the two beeps. In this case I had pulled the battery wire and separated the 2 small spade connectors that go from the etu/mosfet into the rif. Reconnected and it fired once then just went dead. Swapped it for a Li Ion 7.4v 2500mAh 30c and its fine again. Luke/Negative Airsoft said on one of his videos a while that the etu/mosfet is a pile of poo and should be replaced but it seems to be fine on 7.4s. I just plugged in the 11.1v to check and it works fine!!!!! EDIT: fired a load of shots with the 7.4 and plugged the 11.1 back in and got nothing! Not even a beep! Got on the balance charger now.
  7. oh my good god no! I hate rattle. That's why I want mid caps. Even my bunch of house keys is one key on one loop with a detachable car key as I don't like bulk, or rattle! lol
  8. I bought a G&G GR16 mid cap and it fits and feeds lovely but it's snug. Like, very snug, it takes an amount of force for it to slide in and secure but there's no rattle which I like. I found the actual one that's supplied with it, it's an M series but seems to only come in high cap, which I don't want. I did notice that there is a difference in design in the, what I presume, locking tab/slot. The first picture is the supplied mag with the little raised bit above the slot and the bottom one is the new mid cap with the raised bit at the bottom. Any thoughts why?
  9. No pics but a new G&G mid cap mag. Its very snug and takes a little effort to get it in but theres no wobble and it feeds fine. A 20mm quick release riser for the Warthog as the red dot is a little low. The acog is fine but i dont know which I'm going to use yet.
  10. Maybe that's the whole point? "Yes love, of course I'll sell them", says he to his wife. Then he gets to keep them because "they're not selling love!" lol
  11. They're new batteries in a new Cyma Blue MP5 so i would have thought its set up well. I was mostly shooting on semi though. Ill take a bit more note of how much im.shooting next time i play.
  12. It's the MP5. I've just checked the battery and I got it massively wrong!!! it a nunchuck 1300mAh 7.4 25C 9.62Wh God knows where I got 450mAh from!! So I'm guessing 500 odd shots from a fully charged one of those isn't good? What does the 9.63Wh mean?
  13. 5000 shots!!! Jesus! What started me looking in to this is the last time I played i got through a fully charged 450mAh in a morning and estimated that id only shot about 500 shots. That figure came from google and i thought that if its right, then a full battery in the morning was about right.
  14. If your getting lots of head shots I'd recommend not making your head so much of a target. Or if you've got one of those pesky snipers that like to shoot headshots for internet stardom, find a different site to play at.
  15. just out of interest, why are you set on going HPA?
  16. I was going to ask a question about how many shots would you expect from a battery, as I only got one mornings worth out of a 7.4v 1300mAh 25C 9.62Wh, but is the above right? Obviously in general term!
  17. That episode did, and still does, give me the absolute screaming heebiejeebies!!!!!!!
  18. Have you not read the thread??? DONT ORDER A PATCH! YOU WONT GET IT!! 🤣
  19. And thats fine, if its advertised as that. I would have paid it just to have the online badge but thats not what was offered. I pay the same amount to be a subscribing member of a motorbike forum that gives you acces to a particular section of the site. Im on here much, much more than that one but its fine because they were upfront from the beginning. It's not about the actual patch anymore, its the principal. We've been offered a product, paid in good faith, then completely ignored numerous times. Maybe the buy a patch page needs changing to say that your only getting an online patch and the money goes to the site upkeep. Good effort at trying to placate me with the idea of being one of the cool kids though! 😁
  20. I did think about this but I'm sure the host gets charged a fee for having a chargeback applied to their account. As pissed off as I am, i dont want it to have a detrimental affect on the site, beacuse all things considered its not bad here.
  21. I, and others, have poked a fair few times but tagging them and direct messages just get ignored. When a mod, that has taken your money, ignores any request for updates you're left with nothing else ypu can do! Maybe file a claim with paypal!

I did have to give my UKARA number over to customs for whatever reason when Novritsch support sent me over a replacement G36 midcap because the one I bought to see if I liked it shit the bed - but I think that's just Austria to UK customs being stupid lmao

  22. My daughter bought a box, of 5, Valken branded M4 mid cap mags for her Valken AEG. Ive just got a G&G GC16 that takes a stanag mag. I tried one of her mags in mine but there is some fabrictypestuff on one side of the inside of my mag well so it wont go in with out a bit of force. Obviously, i didnt do that but that leads me to the question . . are M4 and stanag mags different or do i just need to buy the specific G&G mags?
