I know right, you can’t tell some people... All my gas is escaping! No that’s air 🙈

@GothicGhost stop giving away the trade secrets! Keep everyone wearing MTP so they’re easier to shoot 🙄

Hi all! Does anyone here do PCB design, need a basic board laying out. Any comments welcome thanks

You do not need to change any springs right away, certainly by a DP nozzle return spring - but keep it as a spare, the TM one will last a LOOOONG time regardless. Most nozzle return spring failures occur because a different bucking has been fitted which has to small a entry hole / it is too fat - this holds on to the nozzle very tight causing the return spring to be stretched to the max all the time. DP parts are good, and work well if TM is not available. The HSB has no draw backs. It is a great reliability and consistency mod. There have been a couple of cases when people are using heavy bolts in conjunction with the HSB which leads to over compression of the buffer spring as both the TM spring and HSB were not designed around controlling that extra mass.

Yeh 330 with a 370mm. You can wind them up too 450 with an Npas and power gas. Go with 6.03, 6.00 is no good for dirt and accuracy.

All of the brands are well known, just for different reasons 😂 The TM recoils are as reliable as Honda Vtec, its Japanese not taiwan/china which speaks for itself. I have owned, built and tuned many of them.

At that budget M4 based your looking at TM recoil NGRS, For an AK you want an E&L as before. The market has been flooded with new brands, most of which are low to mid range brands, Specna, Krytac, LCT etc etc, most look Gucci on the outside but stock inside not excellent performers. On the whole airsoft guns however have generally gotten more reliable when not messed with.
-
Welcome... back! As with most things in life it depends on your budget, the E&L 'essential' line of AKs perform very well OOTB for the price point with nice externals too. There are no proprietary parts either so upgrading is not a concern down the line if you got that itch.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Yeh I run a medium, I’m sure the hinged shoulder on the FCPCv5 is a lot comfier with shoulder pads, I actually find the Slickster comfier without should pads. Did you run yours with/without? -

I find my Slickster very comfy, even when super active on a hot day. -
Because in this day and age a lot of people don’t like confrontation, I’ve learnt this over the years in business that indeed you need to talk to people, but for some this is a difficult skill set. Information is everything, and if you are not certain you are right, or if you even know your rights regardless it makes it very hard to have the confidence to have a direct conversation ‘on the spot’. Mail has always allowed people the opportunity for a considered enquiry/answer.

One of the many pointless words in the world!

Anoyingly its not the gear on my body that gets me hot, its all the PPE we effectively have to wear on our heads thats the real baker.
-
If you are talking about the only difference between any of the MWS guns - AKA the outer barrel length, then if you are using the gun sub 350 fps then the shorter 250mm CQBR is fine, if you potentially want to DMR it you will need a longer inner to boost fps circa 370mm. Be aware that all MWS come with a 250mm barrel.
-
Read back, if you want a MK18, buy a CQBR and fit a MK18 rail kit. Dont get the TM MK18.
-
Nice to see you rocking the AK, uh... oh M4 came out 🙈

There is always a very small amount of play, if you feel this is excessive then maybe return it for refund and buy another. Lemons are few and far between but they do happen. They are never ‘smash the pins in VFC tight’.

Yeh they are pretty sweet OOTB, just a different muzzle device and tactical selector IMO -
Well I went today, first decent skirmish out for me since Covid hit so it was a much needed game. The place was easy to find in Gravesend town centre, parking literally around the back. (Thamesgate car park) Also train station directly opposite. Safe zone was well laid out, lots of space for 90 odd I reckon, there was about 50 playing today. Pyro/BBs/Rental gear/snacks for sale. 3 floors to game on, ground floor really well laid out for cross angles and no choke points / stale areas. 2nd and 3rd floor lots of gear for cover, more technical skills and teamwork required to prevail. Half decent actual loos - thanks Debenhams!! Briefing, full chrono, game explanations are short and concise, no guff but everything covered, I go as far as to say the best I’ve seen yet in my 18 years of playing. Also gameplay was well policed and the whole day had more of an adult feel to it from a sensibility POV. Site limits are upto 350fps on 0.2, BBs 0.32 and below permitted. Semi only. Dont get me wrong there was a couple of obligatory mouthers which were dealt with and LITERALLY a couple isolated hit issues as is par for the course. Marshals did a great job, no grey areas, factual and fun. The whole day seemed to flow well, 98% of the time hits were taken honourably, I think the slightly hotter FPS and BB weight helped as a decent welt gives an undeniable knee jerk reaction 😂 Players were also good making body hits when available, headshots only really when that was all you were sticking up. Also testament to this was me running my GHK AK105U, I took my E&L AK105 as a backup thinking I’d need the firepower/ammo capacity but even being heavily active in all games and only carrying 4x 40rd mags and a Dynatex I only ran dry in one game. So being able to rock that all day was great fun! Think I pumped out 20 mags in all and only one stoppage 😎 Gun variety was a little lacking, sea of AR types obv, 1 other AK, an MP7, a Vector, a shorter, only one other GBBR - a Scar, no bullpups for sure! The days game cost £35, their website is very good for booking. They also do evenings which is cool. The South East has been lacking in decent CQB and I’m pleased this has arrived, bit of a mini Mall and way closer than Reading for me at least!! Oh yeh... not a single MWS out! Couldn’t believe it!

As above but generally FS have been good to me from a CS standpoint the 10 years I’ve used them, I sent a RIF back to them only last week as the stock was damaged. What was the laser model and brand?
-
Double the enemies?

I’m lefty, but I rifle right, so quite convenient when you need to transition from one to the other.

Anyone from here heading over to Echelon airsoft for the Sunday skirmish tomorrow?
