Warhead’s are consistent in my experience. I use the 0.25’s and 0.28’s and they group well and don’t surprise me. I assume their other weights would be just as good

I’ve got the B&T rail on it, so that raises the Elcan high enough to be comfortable to shoot. It’s fairly low compared to the red dot, but for looking at stuff far away it’s perfectly fine. For most shooting I’m on the RDS anyway

I’m an L85 owner. Can confirm

I’m very fortunate in that the team at my local are either Blue Light or trained by them. This is also a part of why I’m comfortable carrying an IFAK on site; if I’m not in a position to use it on me I’m confident that they are and would do so sensibly should the need arise. Having seen them spring into action when the need arose (nothing serious, I think someone did a leg or an ankle) they were next to the player with the quad and a trailer within two minutes, with no panic and professionalism. One thing that I do carry on my IFAK which I missed out from my earlier list was a Green Chemlight. At the Black Site it’s very dark, so green is used exclusively by marshals to identify themselves and/or casualties (Green is safe). Whilst it’s forbidden to use green illumination if you’re not a marshal, should the worst happen it’ll make finding the casualty easier (and also stop them getting drilled in the dark) until help arrives.

Ever since Maddox fell out the back of the Landy at Dover onto his M4 I’ve carried an IFAK. I can still the subcutaneous fat from the wound

The forever increasing amount of ghillie suits
Duff Beer replied to JVacation's topic in General Discussion
The ultimate pay to win: https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/holosun-launches-drs-hybrid-thermal-or-night-vision-daylight-red-dot-optics/amp/ I’m tempted to get something thermal to solve the issue, having been suppressed consistently by a ghillie in my last game I don’t care how good you are, you can’t hide from thermal! -
I carry a Tasmanian Tiger IFAK pouch on my belt with an Israeli Bandage, Quick Clot, burn gel (seen many a burnt finger from pyro), gloves, a normal bandage, and some plasters. Having knelt down on all sorts, and having seen Dog Soldiers one too many times I carry it to stop proper bleeding enough to get out of the woods/game zone. Considering the size of some sites it could take 10 minutes to get first aid to me, and that’s no bueno for a decent bleed. It’s for me to make sure I’m okay, or for someone else to do the same. It doesn’t have anything in it that can cause me proper harm before the marshals get there.

Heavier BB’s can increase the dwell time of the BB in the barrel and make the RIF more efficient and capable of developing more power. For example, if I gave you a ping-pong ball and asked you to throw it as far as you can, and then gave you a tennis ball and asked you to do the same the tennis ball would go further even though your strength hasn’t changed. This is why good sites chrono based on joules of the ammo you’re using, not 0.2’s for FPS.
-
Fair, the range is very good off them but as I have mine set absolutely on the nose for the 0.25’s allowed as a max at the Black Site I’m loathe to change everything for other weights outdoors. On a still day I would be surprised if you had issues, but as soon as you introduce wind the lack of ammunition means you can’t get into a long range scrap with AEG’s with their larger mags. I run Ultrair in my Umarex P8A1 all year round, and whilst it gets close in the proper heat I’ve never had a concern.

Yeah looks like it. After my first proper game with the MP7 and it having a group size of 2985892689431 MOA at 5m with some random gas that came with it I disappeared down the rabbit hole of spec sheets to find one that was ‘dry’, but also didn’t have the aroma additive given to Propane for people to detect leaks. Have you seen the new ASG gasses? The 178 is absolutely not for anything other than properly cold conditions (even with the NPAS backed out the Chrono just read ‘nope’) The standard Ultrair is equivalent to the new 135 (which does have silicone in it) for temperature behaviour. Tl;Dr Ultrair (gold/beige can) good

I thought I was going mad when you said it had lube in it, but I wasn’t. Here’s the data sheet for Ultrair that shows no lube https://actionsportgames.com/files/files/ecom/products/Datasheets/14571_safetydatasheet_english.PDF And here’s the data sheet that’s for their gas with lube in it (note 1% silicone is listed) https://actionsportgames.com/files/files/ecom/products/Datasheets/19893_msds.pdf Ultrair will sort you out
-
I had exactly the same issue with mine, until I switched to a different gas with low/no lube in it. I run Ultrair, which I was under the impression had none, but I’m informed has a small amount (I’ve sprayed it into paper and coffee filters and it didn’t leave any deposits, but who am I to argue with then hive mind?). Mine’s stock internally and it shoots extremely consistently at CQB ranges. One thing you must do immediately is buy the Crusader steel stock latch as yours will fail. They all fail, but thankfully it’s about £15 to replace. Get one now before you have to.

I’ve got the Umarex/VFC MP7 Gen 2 GBB and it’s an absolute hoot to use. For FIBUA and CQB it’s outstanding, with consistent hand shots on guns being stuck round corners being possible at 15m. However, I wouldn’t use it outdoors for woodland as the variation in temperature throughout the days means there are too many inconsistencies for longer engagements and due to the real capacity magazines not enough spare rounds to put down range to account for wind/twigs/Airsoft ballistics. It is, without a shadow of a doubt them most fun RIF I’ve got, and it’s super efficient with the gas usage. As far as getting the most consistency out of a GBB I’d suggest using gas without lubricant in it such as Ultrair to give consistent hop, but obviously it’ll require a bit more maintenance as a result. Here’s the data sheet for the gas showing no silicone (their other gasses with silicone show as 1% makeup, whereas this is a 90/10 Propane/Butane mix) https://actionsportgames.com/files/files/ecom/products/Datasheets/14571_safetydatasheet_english.PDF

There definitely is something broken, and it’ll be a little tab on the bottom of the box at the front by the trigger. This exact thing happened to mine, but I was fortunate enough to see the bit of plastic fall out when I got frustrated and took it all apart. I bought a new switch assembly and did a straight swap and all was solved.

If there is a better way to put people off joining UKAPU then I’d like to see it. At the beginning of the thread I was considering becoming a member, but what with the general back-and-forthing and bylaws being referenced like lives depended on it I’ll steer well clear. This is supposed to be a fun sport. None of what I’m seeing above is anything near the definition of fun. I’ll take my chances with UKARA being sensible enough to protect their livelihoods (and therefore the game).

Should I keep my OD carrier setup or swap to multiglam?

True story. We still are mate, none of this ‘were’ business -

I have a full OD setup, and wouldn’t consider ditching it for (in my case) Vegetato. There’s something so old school about an OD rig, and it goes perfectly with a jeans/shirt combo for CQB as it does with a bit of camo for woodland. In my opinion very few can pull off the camo over civvies look (one would be expected to be single-handedly saving a hotel in Nairobi for example). Equally, you do you mate. As long as you’re not wearing anything inflammatory then knock yourself out.
