Might give it a try anyway, it might still feed and it's worth a crack for £3.50. I'll report back whether it was successful or not.

As an aside, is this the only thing stopping you using normal glock mags in a galaxy g-series? Got an extended glock mag sitting there doing nothing and could be running it in the galaxy if i can get hold of those seals.

Tokyo Marui Pistol Red Dot losing zeroing

Really? Then I stand corrected, definitely worth investing in a quality RDS then. -
Tokyo Marui Pistol Red Dot losing zeroing
Floperator replied to MortalEngine's topic in General Help
Tricky one, a cheap red dot is going to get smashed to bits going back and forth on the slide, and a quality RDS is inevitably going to get shot through by a bb. Not sure how stable one of those clip on lens protectors would be on a GBB slide either. -
Thanks guys. Yeah, so putting the winder underneath the P90 hicap mag was a...special decision. I might try the short 'nam mags first as an extra stanag is always useful. Would I be best served with one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384340383136?hash=item597c78d5a0:g:PWgAAOSwWNJiOgM2 or this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294644524301?hash=item449a2ea50d:g:NgsAAOSwYTtiHkfy And then if that really doesn't work out then I'll bite the bullet and grab a couple of MAG 170 rd midcaps. Edcase, when you say to roll it from side to side do you mean in order to get bbs from the top hopper into the stanag?

Recently bought a Cyma P90, and have the stock low cap and a 'mid cap' that holds about 10 more BBs than the low cap 🙄. I also have the Stanag adaptor but this turned into a bit of a nightmare on sundays skirmish and I'm not sure I trust it anymore. I had a fools dream of not having to buy loads of extra mags for my backup gun but that's now out of the window... So what I'm looking for is a good Hi Cap magazine for it. Lows and mids are no good really seeing how quickly it burns through BBs. Trouble is I keep reading that P90 Hi Caps are useless/shite, but not really seen any reasons given. Is there a decent, reliable hi-cap available for the Cyma/TM P90? Makes to buy, makes to avoid, any way to mitigate whatever faults they may have?

If I may say so, this was your big mistake, essentially publicly posting that you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, and that you're perhaps borderline desperate.

I was quite surprised at having access to the sales section straight away tbh. The Airgun BBS has a 5 post minimum before access is granted manually and even this low bar gets rid of the vast majority of chancers.

On monday I ordered a 2 tone Mk23 from Action Hobbies, and was on their website this morning checking if it had been dispatched when I saw that they accept BASC membership as a defense. Got on the phone straight away, and the very helpful guy on the phone (the owner? Paul?) was happy to put the Mk23 - which had already been painted and was ready for dispatch - back into his stock room and switch my order to an RIF version. Obviously I've not received it yet as this has put the order back, but I'm very pleased with the level of customer service so far.

Yeah fully agreed, I'll let the retailers take all the import risks. Not like we're guaranteed to save on VAT like we used to be either.

Nice! I mean I'm still going to end up getting a UKARA No. but at least this gives me options...

I'm a big convert to Merrells, bought a pair after my boss waxed lyrical about them and have worn the hell out of them since about august 2020, including 2 skirmishes. Waterproof, comfortable, don't make your feet smell and not all that expensive for the quality. You can get them in your usual 'outdoorsy' type stores but I found mine in my local Sports Soccer.

Wonder if anyone accepts BASC? That would be handy...

You gits 😢 Different grips for different situations...a larger magwell is also handy. Less silly than having an AFG or VFG right near the magwell, which is common. The LLCS leaves are a bit of a legacy from when the front end was bright green, I'm generally worried about the people I'm facing. Also it's Christmas somewhere. Maybe.

Getting back into airsoft after many years?
Floperator replied to SussexMatt's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Just getting into it myself but from what I've seen there's certainly a place for the more laid back player. I like to play the DMR role but without the DMR, using an AEG. Set up the scope and hop right and you can do some cheeky counter-sniping, very satisfying when it comes off and you still have the option of full auto. You can get the young 'uns (and a few fit old 'uns) doing kamikaze runs, but if you're prepared for it won't work out well for them 😉 Had a few 'speedsofters' in the last game I played, but also lots of guys in gillie suits, it all evens out in the end. -
It ain't much, but I spent a few hours fiddling with my Lancer M4 last night and now I've got it just how I want it externally. Bit of Halfords khaki, some rail rubbers, straightened out the killflash because it was sitting at a weird angle. Ready for the next game.

Bit left of field, but you could try buying one of those cans of butane lighter gas with a dozen little adaptors in the lid. One of them might do the trick and it'll only cost a couple of pounds.

I wouldn't be hunting anything other than animals with an air rifle 😳 And I would sooner teabag a tiger than put a £2k+ optic on an RIF and start jumping in ditches and diving into bushes with it while people try their best to shoot the lenses out, but YMMV!.

Now Thermal has taken the place at the top end of the market, you can easily get a NV setup for an air rifle for sub £600. A Pard NV007V will set you back less than than £350. Absolute entry-level is about £150.

OK I think I'm sold on the tac now. Don't know about 5 girlfriends though, one's enough of a pain in the arse, so I might swerve the gucci charging handle 😬 Can the feed ramp be seen without dismantling the gun? Or is there another way to see if its a gen 2? Probably won't wait until the UKARA comes in either because thinking about it it's probably going to get a camo paint job anyway (and as I understand it skirmishing is a valid reason for me to turn an IF into an RIF?).

Part of the attraction was how quiet it was, in fact I initially asked the guy if it was HPA. I've got a whole storage bin of scopes and accessories so don't have to worry about that so much. Might have to make this the first gun I buy once I get my UKARA, though between now and 3/4 months time there might be some other goodies that catch my eye...

A kind player let me have a go on his tac-41 today, and it was extremely lovely to operate and shoot, kind of how I imagined a bolt action airsoft gun would be amd entirely unlike my own horrible bolt action thing. I think I'm a bit in love with it. Main question though, this guy said he bought the gun for just under £400, and it's had another £200 of upgrades (!). So just wondering how much of that loveliness is stock, and how much is the upgrades. I could swallow £400 (or ideally less 2nd hand) for a very nice bolty, but £600, well, there's an awful lot of other things I could get for £600...that's into decent pcp air rifle money, or a full NV setup. If its just a case of fettling the internals and a new piston seal or something then I'm up for doing that myself. If it's £200 of aftermarket bits then I'll give it a swerve. Though if you think there are other rifles I should be looking at then by all means let me know

Had a superb 2nd skirmish at Airsoft Plantation today. I think there were about 120 of us, and we got to have some great set piece battles, charging into battle on a double decker bus (!). Sadly missed out on a bus ride myself as I had the first of several equipment failures. First was a dodgy ebay battery in my M4, then the stanag adaptor for the P90 went for a burton, and in my rush to go pick up my two P90 mid caps from the safezone I forgot to grab my speedloader and ran out of ammo halfway through the battle. Switched to the WE Galaxy and managed to take a few Reds as they dismounted the bus, but then it stopped firing BBs...I spent the rest of that game just being a shouty meatshield. Back to the M4 on a new battery after lunch, where it performed very well on my last game. With the acog I was able to get some good longish range hits in (aiming works and I'll die on this hill), and blues managed to hold back the red advance until the timer ran out. It got quite intense at one stage - I think one guy lost an eyebrow to a flashbang... Had to forgo the last couple of short games because the m4 battery was dying by the end, i was all out of backup guns, and truth be told me and my mate were properly knackered. Fiddling with my load out all day, it was getting lighter and lighter as the day went on 😅 in the end I was down to a battle belt with one spare hicap and an empty holster, a light dpm jacket and the M4. Chest rig seems OK in theory but it just makes me feel like the Michelin man tbh...though it might just be because my rig is crap. Great team at Plantation and good facilities, would recommend. Will definitely go again.
