  1. That's superb. The drink can silencer just sets it off.
  2. 25 years ago I had a front tooth shattered, since then I've been through implants, serial infections causing incredible pain, two sets of dentures and probably thousands of pounds worth of dental work. It's something I'm conscious of nearly every day. I don't want it to be my BB that puts someone else through that, any more than I want one of my BBs popping someone's eyeball. My lower face pro is probably the most comfortable part of my rig and if anyone is on the fence about face pro or thinks it's unnecessary, I'd urge you to reconsider. There's nothing at all macho or manly about not being able to chew food properly for the rest of your life.
  3. Got to be honest I don't get not wearing full face, to me it's as nuts as not wearing eye pro. Had enough dental pain and cost in my life that I just don't understand why you would put yourself in a position where you could get your teeth shot out. Probably an unpopular opinion but I think full face should be compulsory.
  4. So the yellow ones aren't lemon flavoured, as I've been led to believe? 🤔 Running stock batteries at the moment, I did buy a spare nunchuk for the Lancer when I bought it and only have the chargers that came with the guns. I'll definitely look into LiPo when the batteries start acting up, which might not be that long because apparently I've been doing everything wrong!
  5. Thanks guys. So the standard kind of things I'd do to a spring piston airgun; deburring, relubing etc. Point taken about more robust parts transferring wear to other components. Re: the Mosfet, am I right in thinking that fitting one of these will get rid of the long delay in locktime i.e the time from trigger pull to firing? This is really the only 'performance' related mod that interests me. The Lancer - and me - has only been through one skirmish so far (2nd one this Sunday!) so I'll follow your advice and only open it up if something goes wrong.
  6. I've not taken an AEG apart before but I'm used to working on airguns and I'm a locksmith by trade, so I'm pretty confident I'll be able to handle it once I've been through a few idiots guides. So I'm not asking so much How To for now, just curious as to what sort of mods I should be looking at if I'm after durability and reliability. Not bothered about super-duper ROF or FPS, or even accuracy (it's already fairly accurate for an airsoft gun), just want to make it as dependable as possible. BTW I have a Lancer gen2 M4, is this worth modding at all if I'm thinking in these terms, or should I wait until I have a better-than-entry-level AEG?
  7. Another vote for the ribbed knobbler. And instead of 'you're dead', you can say 'here, smell this'
  8. Hello all. I'm new to skirmishing but have had airguns and airsoft guns for years, sometimes shoot clays and centrefire. I occasionally do IPSC practical pistol with my TM Hi Capa. Had my first Skirmish in August 2020 at (I think?) RIFT and had an absolutely immense amount of fun. Finally getting to my 2nd, long overdue skirmish this weekend at Airsoft Plantation and looking forward to ending up a fat sweating wheezy mess by the end of it. Will be taking my Lancer Gen2 M4, WE Galaxy G, and Cyma P90 (which is kinda shite I know but there as backup). Still fiddling with kit setup but I get the impression this will never really stop... Looking forward to talking with you all and picking your brains over all kinds of technical stuff - I'm used to working on airguns but gearboxes, MOSFETS etc. is all new to me. Peace Floperator
