  1. Top stuff - good to see it adapted for use with a hat and different glasses than the standard goggles. I have had good service from my gen 1 nov antifog too.
  2. On the original spring, or with the M120 monster? If the former, that FPS at 1.1J is about spot on. If you are achieving that with the M120, whilst the FPS is good for UK limits, you are losing a lot of air somehow and operating grossly inefficiently. I would also observe that 5 midcaps worth of shooting with a 1200mah battery is also not overly good, and inferring that this was what you achieved on the original spring, leads me to think that your battery might be somewhat tired and not giving you the advertised capacity. For reference, at circa 1.1J, I can usually happily get through about 8-10 midcaps on a 1.2 battery.
  3. Quality morning at Driver Wood yesterday (Sunday). Numbers were rather lower than normal - something that I put down to a certain football match the night before. Indeed I overheard more than one person at morning Chrono pondering aloud whether they would be able to keep their stomach contents down during the game, and speculating as to the effect of vomiting through a mesh mask. To be honest, at circa 25 per team, rather than the usual 50 or so, I always have a good time -and yesterday was no different. Opting to run the L96 and MK23 during the the first game, my performance was rather lacklustre. Some memorable eliminations dealt out, but being the charitable sort, I provided the opposition with far more golden memories of 'slotting the tall idiot wearing partizan camo'. Second game I took off the viper hood, and picked up the STG44 to give it its first game. Totally stock, except for a deans connector soldered on, and a fake rivet epoxied to the receiver in order to semi lock it (it was shooting at DMR levels out of the box). Absolutely phenomenal game, with much mischief dealt out with the Sturmgewehr - it shot incredibly well on 0.28s- body size accurate at 60m+ (tested on the range). The only price I paid was using the canvas and leather repro ammo pouches - fast mag changes are really a thing of the past. Oh and the fact that the STG44 weighs a fraction more than an early 2000s Nissen Micra. Not that I'd change it for the world - the pleasure of humping that thing around with its meter long banana mags was immense.
  4. I have had this before - in my case it was that the ultra cheap mounts that came with the scope were not actually clamping down evenly/fully on the picatinny rail - worth checking that first.
  5. OP - for info, the whole sight should move on the elevation (if it works like the real one)- i.e. it doesn't just move the location of the 'pointer' within the optic tube.
  6. There should be what looks like a bolt head in the middle of that knurled disc in the rear of the sight, have you tried slackening that off?
  7. Seconded on the SSX303 option- mine doesn't do a bad job of emulating a sniper. Albeit I bought it during winter, and found out to my costs that even with red gas, I could only get something approaching consistency on the first 4 or 5 rounds from each mag (until i bought an airtac HPA adaptor for it). But during the warmer months, it would probably be spot on stock, or with a tridos hop arm added. They seem to go on sale with a fair discount every now and then.
  8. Just take care - if you are discovered by an irate land owner, bet an Ikea bag full of RIFs could be viewed as a bit of an aggravating factor! I used an ex-dutch issue Fesca made 120l Saracen in the forces for many years, it served me amazingly well, and always grossly overloaded. Despite years of abuse and rough handling, it looks like it did the day I bought it (second hand).
  9. As a further thought, and assuming the battery has been fully charged again, flick the gun to full auto and try a little burst. If the battery was getting low, and you were using it in semi auto, you may be experiencing lock-up of the gearbox. Flicking to full Auto can often sort that issue.
  10. So if I am understanding this right, its not just failing to feed BBs, but rather now when you pull the trigger, nothing whatsoever is happening? If you have fully charged the battery, and tried again with no luck (ensuring that you haven't somehow forced a tamiya connector together reversing the polarity of the battery with the wiring of the gun ), then given that it is new, I would be inclined to return it to the shop for a refund. Are you using the battery that came with it? Ideally before you return it, try to use another known good battery. The batteries that come bundled with some guns are often sold as 'free gifts', so there is a small risk that if you return it to the seller and upon testing it turns out that it is just the bundled battery that is dead, they might try it on with you and charge you for the return postage (albeit, that would be a little rough in my view). If it isn't something as simple as the battery, then opening it up and attempting a fix will likely render the warranty void, so its not something that would seem to be worth doing.
  11. Here you go: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHsLtwb A few other patterns too, including desert tiger stripe.
  12. Coincidentally I was trying to sort out a gun this morning that was shooting off to one side with a ZCI rotary and an Mr hop. After discounting the barrel being rotated to the side in the hop unit, swapping out the nub etc with no change, I realised something quite interesting. The hop arm on the ZCI unit had been poorly moulded. It appears moulded in two halves - and on my version, the two halves were not perfectly aligned. This resulted in a small step halfway across the 'cup' where the nub sits under the arm, therefore placing quite significant uneven pressure to the nub. 10 seconds of careful scraping with a blade sorted it, and now the gun is shooting dead straight. I've used ZCI units in most of my guns with good results, so this was a first for me. Had me scratching my head for a while!
  13. I've used those ZCI blue buckings that come with their hop units before in similar circumstances when the gun seemed to be misbehaving with other 'fancy' buckings (maple leaf, unicorn etc) with good enough results.
  14. I've had great service from my one, hope you have an equally enjoyable experience! Looks like someone has already done the job for you of swapping out the M4 hand guards that it would have come with for the correct slim style too. I will try my best to overlook the crime that is using a 30rnd mag and suppressor on it though
  15. In addition on the hi-caps (and I caution that I have no particular knowledge of P90 Hi-caps, only the M4, AK, and G3 versions) - the sound of the spring rapidly unwinding usually means that the numbers of BBs left inside the mag are so few that they don't drop into the 'cog' that the spring tensions in order that the 'cog' can then push them up the feed tube of the mag and into the gun. The end result being that there is nothing to stop the cog simply spinning and unwinding the spring that tensions it fully (despite there still being a number of BBs still in the hi-caps feed tube rattling around). That's a terrible description from me, but basically - if you haven't already - ensure that the mag is full, give it a load of winds as mentioned above, and then see if you continue to have problems.
  16. Yes, it made me very happy that it worked out! Key work for me was to regulate her exposure to the BBs - keeping her close enough to the 'front line' that she got some fun and action, without pushing too hard and placing her into a hail of plastic. I also worked on her expectations before the game, being honest and letting her know that some hits hurt, others do not - and that the first hits might well be the painful ones, but they wouldn't all be like that. I gave her a bit of a narrative during the game as well to try to bring it alive for her, telling her roughly what was going on, and how we fitted into the bigger picture for our team. I had noticed that you had been a bit quiet for a while!
  17. I'm still so tempted by lite sport, not least as i have found that you can now get shotgun shell magazines for them (I have a load of shells already). Is everyone still getting good performance out of their rifles now that they have been fielded a few times?
  18. Superb morning at Driver Wood on Sunday - a 2.5 hour game, starting just before half nine, and running all the way through to lunch. Its the first time I've been there when they have run that, instead of two nominally one hour games (but which can get eroded through general faffage). As I only ever go for a half day/morning, packing as much play into that time gets my vote. Quite a fun game concept too - with lots of balloons located all around the playing area at different objectives in the team colours - idea being that you shoot out the enemy team colour balloons, and defend yours. Also I took along my 12 year old daughter for her first taste of airsoft - which she absolutely loved! I managed to give her a heavily curated experience - generally with us sticking as a pair, and me playing a lot less 'aggressively' than normal (and taking a lot more hits in the process!). She got a few hits herself, including her highlight of taking out a group of five enemy players ten minutes before the end - leaving her absolutely buzzing. I managed to arm her with a fully polymer Specna (even a polymer buffer tube) that I built up from a few parts - super light and the stock can be adjusted pretty short. Shout out to the site shop as well -coming to the rescue and selling her a multicam hoody for just £5 as she didn't have anything suitable in her own wardrobe.
  19. Your piston is definitely running smoothly on the tracks moulded on the inside of the gearbox? It's not jumped out of them when you reassembled the gearbox?
  20. Oh, good spot - 30 minutes away from me according to google, I might be tempted, if only for a bit of variety. Web presence seems extremely limited however! Looking at the booking page, it appears that it is full day bookings only and that spaces are limited to 50 (which might provide a clue as to the size of the playing area).
  21. A few pics - my phone isn't great unfortunately:
  22. Just a rather nicely made chest rig off Aliexpress - in my favourite Tigerstripe! Good to see more things these days available in it.
  23. Forget to say, from what I've seen so far, the E&C Glock mag looks pretty good as well - another WE substitute (and feeds ok in the WE G17 gen 3 i tried it in) - and cheap at £13
  24. That looks good - how does the repeater work - does it record and then rebroadcast each message (meaning you are at risk of hearing every message twice) or simply 'pass' it through real time on the same frequency? And if the latter, what unit did you buy?
