  1. I'll have a gander ?
  2. Finally want to get round to fixing this ting which hgas never worked. From new you could get one or two shots out before the slide stuck before getting home. Now the slide moves fine, btu one shot an the mag dumps 99% of its gas, and the bb just rolls out. Taking it apart, I can see thiings that are odd (to my inexpereinced eye).... The nozzle seems to stick, slightly, to the hop zeems to stick to the end of the barrel. The hammer deosn't seem to reset fully after a trigger press - but I don't know the mechaniusm for this anyway. The gun is clean and moving parts are lubed, and the mags are oterwise gas tight. I can't quite see how to take the trigger.hamer mechniism out - there are no pins like there are in the Glocks we have. Tah in advance.
  3. Totally - 2 sub £200 guns will be much better than one fancy schmancy one that WILL go wrong one day leaving you with zero guns until its fixed. The extra £300 won't necessarily mean it lasts longer either. Well - that's how I've justified my ever-growing gun wall.... There's always space for one more.
  4. Fair enough Bit cheeky/illegal using the logos though LOL. I've just bought one of those Maddog adapters though so won't bother me ?
  5. The mini one arrived this morning... Can plop a video up if you're interested, or are you wedded to lasers?
  6. Did he say this stuff would be a problem? or is it just the fact that it is a knock off that is a problem?
  7. I think I remember that incident - it was rather funny. To be fair Carlos only shouts at you once. it tends to stick in the memory. Having said that I was trying to fix the boy's Specna not that long ago and a lose wire on the mosfet meant the gun cycled when I wasn't expecting it in the safe zone. Luckily it was cleared beforehand after leaving the chrono; but the barrel was pointing directly at someone who happened to be watching, and it made both of us jump. Thankfully he saw I was nowhere near the trigger so explanations were short.... But it shows shit can happen when you least expect it.
  8. It's a very nice van I'll have you know.
  9. That might be doable - will see how much notice they need for tickets. If I make it and you make it, I could give you a lift back as I'll be in the van.
  10. Jeepers - that's gone up another tenner since I bought it.
  11. I'm intrigued at how one person ends up owning so many two-tone guns. At least he's honest about the Well rifle.
  12. You and me are going to have words ?
  13. Have to see family this weekend and frankly, an excuse to leave early, would be a relief. Going to be just outside Hailsham, heading back towards Hitchin. if anyone knows of any fields open within reasonable travel time it would be appreciated.
  14. Honestly never saw much point in lasers, but I have this which has been fine as a torch and strobe. 15. I read that totally different....
  16. I like the idea of putting a sock over the barrels.
  17. I get what you mean....getting a GBBR is not something i was planning on, and i'm only getting this one really to scratch a passing itch and to sya I've tried it. Of course that's a meaningless sentiment in this hobby ??
  18. Probably going to pick up my first gbbr next weekend. Can't skirmish due to rather grim family events, so will use a bit of free time to have a tinker. Decided, I think to get an AA G36. I know it's not gonna last, but it'll give me something to take apart and fix without the stresses of screwing up something 3 times the price. I'd like to thank the forum once again for encouraging me to lighten my wallet further. Sod you all. ?
  19. Some interesting tips on weathering in this video.... Your paint job thrre looks pretty good to me @RostokMcSpoons.
  20. Pistol kills are particularly satisfying though...like my one against Riot Shield guy the other week...got him right in the neck. ?? They're handy for kamikaze runs against an objective where rifles slow you down. But that is a very small amount if time.
  21. As above. I've spent money upgrading a gun, and it was great. I've also bought a budget gun, and it's equally great out of the box with a few attachments. The tech I used to upgrade my Specna was Cage Airsoft (https://www.thecageairsoft.co.uk/). He was reasonably priced, quick and helpful. But if you go with an M4 platform, frankly, it's pretty straightforward to work on the gun yourself with all the pointers here and elsewhere.
  22. Twice I've asked a Marshall to check a potential cheater....once it was confirmed that I was indeed doing an admirable job of stripping the tree he was hiding behind of bark, and that my bbs were only just reaching him. Second one turned out (on reflection) to be a flag poking out from behind a tree. Felt like a plonker both times.
  23. COD sliding as I call it is great fun, but does tend to give one awkward to reach splinters and holey trousers.
