  1. Likewise, if you make it to Hitchin or Arlesey train stations, I could take you to Spec Ops.
  2. Fingers crossed dude. I've just bunged a random spare spring in mine now it's a steady 347 fps with stock everything else. Won't be at Spec Ops this weekend now though.
  3. Same in the plumbing, heating and white goood worlds. Gloworm boilers are the same as the Vaillant boilers (lower priced models). Many boilers are made of the same mechanical bits, with cosmetic changes and different PCB's. Many showers and taps are the same internally qulity wise because they are made in the same facoty - you end being charged for more expensive visible bits which may or may not have a higher quality finish. Siemens, Bosch, AEG, Smeg washing machine and dishwashers are pretty much identical internally.
  4. Well, I manged to not leave anything behind. And the pew is no worse off than it was before. A BB came out with a little more oomph, btu the mag dumping is still the same.
  5. This is proving to be a bit of a roller coaster ride LOL The internal trigger mechanism has very little grease on it, btui nothing appears broken or missing. So I'm goiung to add some lube now I am trying to put it al back together. How many bits do we think I'll have left over? Taking bets now.
  6. Finally want to get round to fixing this ting which hgas never worked. From new you could get one or two shots out before the slide stuck before getting home. Now the slide moves fine, btu one shot an the mag dumps 99% of its gas, and the bb just rolls out. Taking it apart, I can see thiings that are odd (to my inexpereinced eye).... The nozzle seems to stick, slightly, to the hop zeems to stick to the end of the barrel. The hammer deosn't seem to reset fully after a trigger press - but I don't know the mechaniusm for this anyway. The gun is clean and moving parts are lubed, and the mags are oterwise gas tight. I can't quite see how to take the trigger.hamer mechniism out - there are no pins like there are in the Glocks we have. Tah in advance.
  7. Totally - 2 sub £200 guns will be much better than one fancy schmancy one that WILL go wrong one day leaving you with zero guns until its fixed. The extra £300 won't necessarily mean it lasts longer either. Well - that's how I've justified my ever-growing gun wall.... There's always space for one more.
  8. Fair enough Bit cheeky/illegal using the logos though LOL. I've just bought one of those Maddog adapters though so won't bother me 😁
  9. The mini one arrived this morning... Can plop a video up if you're interested, or are you wedded to lasers?
  10. Did he say this stuff would be a problem? or is it just the fact that it is a knock off that is a problem?
  11. I think I remember that incident - it was rather funny. To be fair Carlos only shouts at you once. it tends to stick in the memory. Having said that I was trying to fix the boy's Specna not that long ago and a lose wire on the mosfet meant the gun cycled when I wasn't expecting it in the safe zone. Luckily it was cleared beforehand after leaving the chrono; but the barrel was pointing directly at someone who happened to be watching, and it made both of us jump. Thankfully he saw I was nowhere near the trigger so explanations were short.... But it shows shit can happen when you least expect it.
  12. That might be doable - will see how much notice they need for tickets. If I make it and you make it, I could give you a lift back as I'll be in the van.
  13. Jeepers - that's gone up another tenner since I bought it.
  14. I'm intrigued at how one person ends up owning so many two-tone guns. At least he's honest about the Well rifle.
  15. Have to see family this weekend and frankly, an excuse to leave early, would be a relief. Going to be just outside Hailsham, heading back towards Hitchin. if anyone knows of any fields open within reasonable travel time it would be appreciated.
  16. Honestly never saw much point in lasers, but I have this which has been fine as a torch and strobe. 17. I like the idea of putting a sock over the barrels.
  18. I get what you mean....getting a GBBR is not something i was planning on, and i'm only getting this one really to scratch a passing itch and to sya I've tried it. Of course that's a meaningless sentiment in this hobby 🤣🤣
  19. Probably going to pick up my first gbbr next weekend. Can't skirmish due to rather grim family events, so will use a bit of free time to have a tinker. Decided, I think to get an AA G36. I know it's not gonna last, but it'll give me something to take apart and fix without the stresses of screwing up something 3 times the price. I'd like to thank the forum once again for encouraging me to lighten my wallet further. Sod you all. 🤪
