Khyber got a reaction from The_Lord_Poncho in Should you purge your gas magazines?
I have recently heard about this. I think there may be something in it. I am experiencing the same with my MWS. I weigh the mags empty and full and cant get more than around 7-8g of gas in some mags wheres before I could get up to 20g. Get a few shots then it vents. Haven't had chance to see if this purge method remedies it.

I've got one too.  Slightly different fuse info but same colour.  Can't remember where I got it 🤪
Its the US MK2 M21 'Pineapple' grenade made from 1918-1969
The fuse it a practice one so legal to own.

Yeah, use it as a paperweight but I careful dropping it in case it damages the floor 😆

Edit: just found this: G&G Armament - MK2 Hand Grenade Replica BB Bottle | Patrol Base UK

LOL, as long as they don't go in to "hero mode" & lob it through the nearest double glazed window, be an expensive prank😢💰

But You’ll laugh about it after a year or two 🤣

Thanks. Yeah it certainly would look good on my kit but I don't like extra weight. Will keep it on my desk me thinks. Would be funny to see someones face if I pulled the pin and then 'dropped' it 😂 maybe I'll try that.

Training grenade, couple of companies make them in the US, between $20-$30 new, but subject to itar apparently so not easy to ship over.
Regards sticking it on the kit, fuck that if it's that heavy, plenty of lightweight copies available online that'd look as good without the weight penalty.
I'd keep it as a paperweight or coffee table talking point lol, tell visitors your grandad bought it back from Normandy, go to hand it to them & then fumble it for a reaction 😂

That's not too bad I guess. I may come along to another Friday then and give it a try. I'll try and remember to give you shout next time I go, see if you're there.

I think we started with about approx 16-20 people last night. By 2000 a few guys packed up and left so we were down to 12 which was fine. We had a quick TDM after the break and moved onto best-of-five main street. It was about 2130 everyone was packing up to go.

Fridays are usually much busier and less people leave mid-way because most people don't have work the next day.

The AEG I built using the Mk18 style handguard uses the 12" handguard because I couldn't get the 10" (or 7") version at the time for love nor money so I had to use a 12". With it, I can't lean through a doorway and aim at a 90 degree angle where with the MP9 I can. Like I said sub-guns are definitely looking like the best way forward for indoors play. It doesn't bother me that much as the AEG is unbelievably good when I use it outdoors so I don't plan on changing it.

It's tight but not so much that you'd notice at first, but the doorways feel slightly thinner than they should be but without measuring it, I couldn't say

They've rethought that 'no grenades' rule on main street because it just turns into a grind fest of two people constantly tagging each other back in behind cover with no way to clear them out.

Another quality session at District 23. Went to try out my L85A2 to find that my Sotac EXPS3 wouldn't adjust low enough for the BBs to actually land within the reticule. While trying to adjust it, it seems I turned the adjustment screw way past where it should have went and broke something and it's stuck all the way down. I didn't feel any resistance or a stop... it's like it just unscrewed from whatever adjusts the reticule. Didn't want to risk it with my HW S1. That was annoying.

The issue with the height over bore being so big is that i'm literally not looking at the target when firing. To make things worse, because G&G are special, they made their version of the L85A2 outer barrel unthreaded so I can't fit a tracer to just walk my BBs onto the target and I have to use the optic. I have a smaller, and slightly lower, RMR styled 20mm RIS red dot that i'll try next time but in the mean time if any L85 owners have any suggestions, i'm all ears.

Once I realised the L85 wasn't going to be an option I changed out to my MP9 as I had such fun with it last time and this time was no different. Quality bit of kit, I think i'll be using sub-guns at indoors sites from now on as it's just so much easier to move through the tighter spaces. Trying to move around doorways with my Mk18 with the 12" handguard is a pain.

Many grenades were thrown during a game of 'main street' and the enemy team apparently had some cases of brown trousers.

I've ran my MWS with stock spring for over a year with well over 10k shots through it. Closer to 13 14k. Still yet to have any issues or breakage. Just go for it and replace as it breaks. Wouldn't hurt pre buying one for the spares box though.

I have been a long time wearer of skechers trainers and recently tried some of their hiking boots for the first time. Memory foam insoles and waterproof. For 70 squid I cant complian. Super comfy for prolonged wearing too. Maybe worth a punt

Well RIF wise, i already have my money no object choice (TM MWS) But for the rest which I can't afford would be a full strike industries setup. The rail, grips, buffer tube and stock aswell as all the little extras like mag release, takedown pins, fire selector etc... I do love the look of SI. Also the F4 receivers are pretty sweet.

Ah I see. Wasnt aware of these shops. Think i will go that route then. I'll just stock up on a bunch when they come in. £3-4 is much more reasonable. Thanks for the info.

Impulse101 are out of stock, as are Rainbow8. Keep an eye though because they're a lot cheaper, service is fast, even from Japan/HK. Impulse charge 550 yen. That's a little over £3!

Thanks, there are a couple in stock at airsoft direct but it's hard to justify a 10er of the 50 quid your paying for a mag is a tiny plastic part that is essentially a consumable but hey ho. Guess it's a necessity for the reward of playing with a GBB. Still gives me big smiles each time I let off a round.

£130 isn't all that cheap though.  Is it the split slide feature you're really keen on?   For another £30-40 you could have your pick of TMs...

    Edit:

Feck me, barge poles are pricey!

You could buy a Vorsk for that much
