  1. Ah dyslexia ... reed AA12 first and after looking up what LEPG means I was quite satisfied there for a moment.. ooooutch!
  2. >I have heard that you have to buy a rif at least every 12 months to keep it going Nope. you don't need to buy or own a single RIF ever. >and others have said you contact your local site, but in the future I won't be staying at one site I will be playing at loads of different. How do I go by renewing it? Contact the site that did it originally. The UKARA rule I think is that you need to play once every 12 months once you have it. But any site can also add their individual rules to that. Mine would automatically update your UKARA if you played at least 6 times in a year and some sites will charge to player to get on the databas/renewal. If you intend to change your regular site you should probably contact UKARA and ask, not sure if that means getting a new one or just continue renewing the old one. Also I dont think you can have UKARA membership unless you are regular at one site, remember it's not connected to any government, it's just an organisation that tries to protect the retailers from selling to people who are not allowed to buy.
  3. ah yea.. think I got it a bit mixed up there because of the metal. thou still my reaction to "mags doesn't hold enough gas for a metal slide" would be "or you could get a gun that holds more gas". Each to their own thou
  4. Weapon G&G CM ARs - good rep CYMA ARs - horrible rep ARES in general - horrible rep, accurate externals Clothing Sounds good Boots Would use the camping boots until you get into airsoft Webbing Since you probably run highcap in the beginning. I'd wait with the webbing, you can ask to try some other peoples at the games to see what fits and ask what similar sized people use. I am about 6'4, I think waist 38-40 and I run chestrig, but never had any size issues with any webbing. Face cover I run cheap plastic from DIY store/building merchants.. not bothered what covers my mouth, as it stops bbs from knocking my teeth out and doesn't steam up up my goggles. advantage with two part is that you can remove lower face (if you're over 18) between games but when not in safe zone. and yea.. you forgot kneepads. I'd get some straight away, you only get one pair knees and busting them sucks. and kneeling for longer periods without them also sucks. Two tone VS rental You're of course free to do as you want to. But here is my advise, and it specially applies to G&G CM16. If you buy a two tone, you will get to use a brand new AEG rather than a busted rental until you got your UKARA. and the loss of selling it 2nd hand/replacing twotone parts/removing two tone paint/repainting it will be less than what you've spent on rental.
  5. well. they apparently do not hold up against it, being plastic and designed for duster gas. thou, from my limited experience and konwledge, I dont think I would get a tm 1911, propane or no propane..
  6. hum, didn't notice first, but I never seen a real one with a metal mag... or non transparent for that sake. edit: Just asked a Jägare/Ranger. He uses metal stang mags, but he'd be allowed to bring his own mags if he wanted to.
  7. hmn... that picture looks a bit too bright.. atleast compare to the real thing which is just the regular green Swedish army uses. So in other words, if you want to go for realism, you might want to repaint the whole thing, if it indeed the airsoft is the shade that it is in the pic above.
  8. Monty saves the day What I generally say about sidearms.. have at least two AEGs before you consider one. Suck not to be able to skirmish properly because your main gun is down ^^
  9. Generally it's KWA NS2/PTP, TM (especially 5.7), WE glock gen4. WE glocks are suppose to not be quite up there with KWA & TM, thou a lot of their reputation is from their older guns like the 1911.. TM is good, but plastic and not propane compatible. KWA NS2/PTP is just perfection as far as I am concerned - can handle propane and winter weather. Thou being metal they are heavier than TM (which can be an advantage if you want "realism" or a disadvantage if you want something thats easy to carry with you). From my experience (and from what I've heard from others), I'd stay away from KJW. Thou in all fairness, their customer service is excellent.
  10. Been running a BSA red dot for a very long time... doesn't look too shabby. thou I tend tot ake it off before pics Was just gonna suggest someone should make a PSO red dot.... if that fits AK!! thou the one I have on my rs-svd does not. but it's worth sending them an email asking!! eeeeew!! and I'm not talking about the optic!!
  11. suppose there is different rules in radio communication as well.. when I used radios at work a normal job would go something like this: control: two zero two zero two zero John two zero: two zero control: **** going **, sending details two zero: rodge two zero: two zero control: two zero two zero: two zero POB going ** control: rodger *except my name isn't John, thou my call sign was two zero or some excellent example of effective radio communication from my site bloke1: pizza afterwards? bloke2: yea, I think I paid last time? *silence* bloke1: euuhm.. there's an elk here. bloke2: you serious?? bloke1: yea. bloke2: aim for the eyes!! ....thats the last we ever heard from bloke1
  12. lulz! Thou made me think of a disadvantage on it... the mags are tiny in size and kind of hard to store securely on your person. Was thinking of maybe making custom elastic pockets for them..... my brother puts a rock in his pistol mag pouch and jams the mag in to give it some friction.
  13. Sure is. Thou I do prefer the TM over the CYMA (and that is rare), just have a better feel to it (even rarer). Saying that the cm030 is very praised and I never heard anyone put it down, other than on it being an AEP or saying that it needs lipo. I think a great advantage, atleast if you're a sniper is that it's so low power, you never will have to worry about fps limit.
  14. Oh this thread will NEVER die - as long as there's freak mods out there.. and there always will be. Sorry mate.
  15. As Mr B says... go with the G&G CM. Have to mention about Wolf Armouries thou.. the shop is great, but they do not necessarily have the best reputation.. take that for what it is.
  16. or KWA PTP/NS2 if you want pure epicness am I correct in thinking that the gun in the original post is a rebranded cm.030?
  17. is there cronos that does this maybe? Theres a crono app (which I dont know if it works for airsoft) that counts the time between the sound of the gun going of and the sound of the bullet hitting the target. Similar method should work for ROF, by shooting something that makes a sound (metal sheet for example?) then counting how many sounds it makes in a second. not sure if theres such app, but if you're really dedicated, you can record it and count in an editing program. Would count a few separate seconds to make sure it's consistent thou.
  18. great post Also if not using inears/headset - switch the radio off/low while sneaking
  19. Just from looking at it, I would agree about that one. For the better or the worse, they do a lot of odd knives. I'd say majority of them feel real nice in the hand. I'd look for the fingerchoil, especially on Spydies
  20. I'm Swedish, I used Mora since I could stand on two feet lol, more for forests thou - not very comfy or classy to wear with suit^^ had a few gerbers... not my taste. Spyderco makes such a variation of knives, which one does your father own? honestly thou, I hated the look of Spydies when I first saw them, but they grew onto me. I know I am not the only one ^^
  21. Knife collecting! ..I guess.. anyway.. here's my Spydercos, all but one: (huh.. majority of the ones in the pic is legal to carry in England)
