Agreed. I get the feeling that any charges relating to RIFs and the VCRA would be on a list of other more serious crimes. I always feel a bit iffy giving out info on loopholes on kids getting rifs on a public forum. While the OP's intentions are honest, little Johnny chav who wants something to wave around in the park and impress his chavvy mates wont be

I've heard some say the age restriction part of the VCRA only applies to the sale of rifs, not the modifying an IF to a RIF part so the OP could change or paint the snot green parts. However, I wouldn't take this as gospel as you don't want to be the test case in the unlikely event you end up in court and something tells me "some guy on the internet said it's ok" wouldn't be a good defence

Stalker tac41 hop op vs Standart tac41 hop op unit

Are we ignoring the fact the OP has admitted to using a hot gun? That's way over the UK legal power limits -
Can I keep my airsoft guns in a self storage locker?
Cannonfodder replied to Thom1481's topic in General Discussion
This. It would also help if we knew which storage company is going to be used as different companies will have different T&Cs -
II picked this up online in the summer for the princely sum of £16. It isn't loosing or gaining time and at that price I'm not too bothered if it gets shot out in a game

Importing from HK and Preferred Manufacturers
Cannonfodder replied to SteamPunkSultan's topic in General Help
According to a quick google search these rumours are false. He was simply following covid rules by staying in quarantine for a couple of days after returning from a foreign trip. Well at least that's one less thing to delay imports -
Double Eagle M906D back in stock at Patrolbase
Cannonfodder replied to RostokMcSpoons's topic in Electric Guns
You can. If you look at anything this comes up in the text "While we're working on resolving the recurring problems with the British Customs, please order from our partners at Patrol Base. If something is missing from their offer, write directly to [email protected]." -
I'm guessing its a case of the BF following procedure and sending out the letter, rather than looking for a ukara number on the package or paperwork. I also doubt that many of the staff don't know what a ukara number or airsoft is

@Alimcdtbh if you'd described that Thomson to me I would've thought it sounds nasty, but the carbon fibre looks great

Importing from HK and Preferred Manufacturers
Cannonfodder replied to SteamPunkSultan's topic in General Help
Agreed. I think the introduction of the cheap Chinese stuff in the late 2000's has meant many of us have gotten used to the relatively low prices. I just hope we don't end up in a similar place to when I first started playing, eg £30 for a single magazine -
Not sure what the OPs point is here. As already mentioned, ukara and orange tips have bugger all to do with importing. Yes it was delayed for a couple of months but that's hardly anything out of the ordinary as the parcel would've been in a pile of things waiting to be checked and sent on or thrown in the crusher

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Cannonfodder replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
Bugger, that means I could've sold on my cheap red dot sight for a massive profit, rather than just make Spinal Tap jokes on social media? -

True, but many sites specifically mention no climbing trees in the briefing. -

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Cannonfodder replied to Skara's topic in General Discussion
I used the cheap Chinese gloves for years, usually replacing them every 6 - 9 months. I also wore them on the bike cycling to work, camping and urbexing though. Then last year I picked up a pair of mechanix fast fit gloves for a few quid more. So fat they're hilding up far better than the cheaper ones. The fast fit ones are slightly thinner and allow great finger dexterity (we all know how more fiddly pouches can suddenly get in those oh shit moments) but a trade off is that being thinner and not armoured you don't get such good protection from hits. -

Fair enough, I missed that.

Apart from showing us all you have a serious case of Dunning Kruger effect, what the fuck does any of that have to with anything bring discussed here?

Like a certain poster here?

A lot of the sources for examples of him being a cunt are his own videos, eg deliberate head shots, ignoring the MED, using a hot gun in cqb and one that sticks out for me is the clip he posted of him shooting another player in the back from close range with a TAG round

Airsoft Defence Information Sheet for public transport inspections
Cannonfodder replied to Pseudotectonic's topic in UK Law
You wouldn't end up in court though (assuming you weren't actually doing something illegal). Also a random bit of paper you printed out at home would be meaningless. I think you're being overly paranoid. Just use your common sense and you'll be fine. -
You mean the many who are going on experience, rather than a goby know it all who's been involved in the hobby for 5 minutes?

Airsoft Defence Information Sheet for public transport inspections
Cannonfodder replied to Pseudotectonic's topic in UK Law
The VCRA and UKARA have nothing to do with owning a rif, just sale, manufacture and importing. Just keep them out of sight and unloaded. If you are stopped by police just be polite, courteous and if they do ask you to open the bags explain what you're carrying, why and that you're happy to, but to do the search somewhere out of view from the public Remember, with any interaction with law enforcement will have a worse outcome if you fail the attitude test. Tuat being said I've been playing since 2004 and have never had any trouble using public transport, even travelling through central London
