Looking for beta testers for a new airsoft social website
Cannonfodder replied to Bo B's topic in General Discussion
Is there a demand for anything new though? If so then one of the previous ideas would've come to fruition. What will your platform offer that others don't? -

Great, another social media app which nobody asked for. I can see how this is going to go Seriously though, every few years someone suggests this and every time bugger all happens -
i want to buy one of these pistols
Cannonfodder replied to VilkoNut's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
What are you hoping to get from the pistol? If you want something to skirmish with then I'd go with the aap, if you want something to sit of a shelf on display then get which one you prefer the look of. -

Specna Arms magazine compatibility / feeding issue amelioration
Cannonfodder replied to Rogerborg's topic in Tutorials
Well thankfully my virgin sacrifice to the forum gods has resurrected the thread as virgins are a little hard to find round here. While looking for fixes for my Specna arms fussy feeding I found this https://specnaarms.com/bbs-feeding-troubleshooting/ Unfortunately Google isn't playing ball searching for these kits so does anyone know where they're available, or as it's basically a rubber seal can anyone recommend an alternative? -
I don't do any buying or selling either, but to me wanting to take comms straight to e mail is a definite red flag to me, especially if it's from a new member or one with few posts.

Welcome. The posts above have covered the buying rifs so I won't add anything more to that. Setting up a site can be a long and complicated process, especially for someone new to the game. Personally I'd contact local sites to see if they're interested in using the site. That way someone else gets the hassle of dealing with airsofters (making sure everyone knows what's going on and are in the right place can be like herding cats sometimes). Their knowledge and experience means they'll also be able to see and head off any potential issues before they become a problem. Oh, and nice job with the props

Probably means when the shot is lobbed from the top of a 330ft cliff -
Cheers, I thought that you could order online or over the phone, but it had to be shipped to a RFD where the buyer would collect it But it's still not as easy to get as some seem to think
-
People do seem to forget that getting an air gun isn't that easy, especially if the buyer wants it for nefarious reasons. You can't get one delivered to your door and all sales are logged (by serial number iirc). Also under 18s cannot be gifted an air gun, use one unsupervised or even buy pellets. It's even worse if you're in Jockland as over 18s need an FAC to buy anything with w muzzle energy over 1j

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me if I'm wrong but I was always told that dry firing an AEG isn't good for the life of the internals, particularly the piston. As I understand it the bb in the barrel slows air escaping down the barrel and acts as a cushion stopping the piston slamming into the gearbox

I agree that it's all theatre but unfortunately there isn't really any viable way of making cheating chrono impossible without putting off the majority of honest players attending the site. All that can realistically be done is to make it harder for those who want to cheat to get away with it and to actually do something when it does happen
-
I wonder what their insurance providers would think about this
-
I don't think they're getting desperate as according to their website just over 2000 players are booked to go, to me this is just laziness on their part. Less guns to chrono means more time for them to stand around doing fuck all

So it'll be no different to every other year then

An old Pilot sat down in Starbucks and ordered a cup of coffee. As he sat sipping his coffee, a young woman sat down next to him. She turned to the pilot and asked, ‘Are you a real pilot?’ He replied, ‘Well, I’ve spent my whole life flying biplanes, Cubs, Aeronca’s, Neiuports, flew in WWII in a B-29, and later in the Korean conflict, taught 50 people to fly and gave rides to hundreds, so I guess I am a pilot – what about you?’ She said, ‘I’m a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about naked women. As soon as I get up in the morning, I think about naked women. When I shower, I think about naked women When I watch TV, I think about naked women. It seems everything makes me think of naked women.’ The two sat sipping in silence. A little while later, a young man sat down on the other side of the old pilot and asked, ‘Are you a real pilot?’ He replied, ‘I always thought I was, but I just found out I’m a lesbian.’

Can the Specna Arms SA-H20 EDGE 2.0
Cannonfodder replied to Biggie-Banana264's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
From the looks of it you'll need a qd sling mount to attach a sling. It should push into one of the holes circled. Alternatively you could also use an M-Lok mount on the side rail Qd mount: https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/zci-airsoft-qd-quick-detach-bearing-sling-swivel-62016-p.asp M-Lok mount: https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/utg-m-lok-standard-qd-sling-mount-de.html -
I also agree with all the above. If the visor is like the one pictured below I highly recommend getting some glasses or goggles to go underneath as there's some very big gaps where a bb could easily get through. Infact I'd be surprised if a site did let anyone play with just that for eye protection. The only other thing I reccomended is a pair of gloves. Hits to the fingers and knuckles bloody hurt and even a thin pair of gloves will take the edge off

In that case it's very unlikely that you're still on the ukara database
