At some point i would also like to see about making my own airsoft gun, but i need more money behind me first, as it would require a lot of work. The gun i want to make would probably have to be a GBB as the (rare) real steel is mostly exposed workings due to it being a conversion from a bolt action rifle into a LMG... (so no place to hide a gearbox and motor) Is there any requirement to get a home made GBB proofed (or a similar test) before it can be used on fields?

well, parcel arrived from atlanta, and contents are shown in the second pic... armourer works drum mag, various "weapons grade waifu" patches and stickers, MAXX hop unit with built in tracer and an elite force pull out dead rag. i also bought some cans of red and green gas from teamgreen airsoft, as well as a sling for my new tippmann (not pictured as is on the gun) and a collapsible BB pouch finally i bought a holographic sight from @Anotsu in the classifieds for my tippmann, and a set of M-Lok adapter rails from ebay so i can attach my m203 to the tippmann ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Airsoft-Aluminium-20mm-M-LOK-Rail-in-5-7-9-11-13-Slots-Picatinny-RIS-RAS-Rail/353129960407?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=622350376555&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 ) and now i will be locking all my bank cards in the safe and deleting them all from paypal to prevent any further impulse purchases for the next couple of months =P

that reminds me, i need to do something similar to make a new handle for my nuprol speedloader.. damn handle came apart second time i used it.... =/ i see the foam inserts you made for your bag, and i have done some similar things with an ex-military missile case (for my RIFs) and a large ammo case (for magazines etc). i think i posted somewhere on the forum that thats what i was planning, but i dont think i posted the final results...

i know im way too late to the party for this one, but i dont often check all the threads on this forum.... from reading his comments over the last few pages, i would say that he is a butthurt, snowflake troll... too true, people now think that because someone has an opposing opinion to them, that means they are being bullied, harrassed and persecuted... they also see that the second they whip out those words, other people (mainly younger generations) will fall in behind them because "we must stand up to bullies". im not going to devolve into a massive rant here, because its not helpful to anyone, pointless in an airsoft forum, and no doubt some snowflake will try and claim that my opinions are bullying/racist/harrassing/pure evil/toxic etc etc (take your pick of any word that butthurt people throw around to try and paint themselves as delicate roses being trampled by some heathen with an airsoft gun in his hand) for the record, im 28, so i could be considered a younger generation, but i was brought up to respect other peoples opinions, that people wont necessarily agree with you, and not to cry and pout just because someone has an opposing opinion to you. also for the record.... im not racist, i hate everyone... =P =P (that was a joke, for all you snowflakes reading that last line)

well, small update on my import duties tale... i ordered a bunch of stuff from airsoft atlanta that totalled approx £290. parcel got stopped by customs and i have been stung £65 of import duty... on the other hand, i ordered a bunch of non-airsoft stuff from japan, and was expecting the parcel to be stopped at customs as every single parcel from japan has been in the past, yet this time it passed straight through customs with no charges attached... goods in the parcel totalled £120 and i wasnt charged VAT etc...

Well, my wallet needs CPR now.... Tippmann M4, 5x CO2 mags, ninja air line HPA tank and HPA tank pouch arrived today. The guys at Battlezone airsoft were also kind enough to throw in a pack of .3g tippmann bbs and 10 CO2 bulbs as a brucie bonus ?

Ask me again in about a weeks time... currently got a parcel of airsoft bits inbound from airsoft atlanta in the USA... will post my experience here once it arrives

LOL. well, a little late, but it looks like i will be keeping both pistols for the time being. have found a drum mag for it so will be putting the stock on the black pistol for CQB

Will do ? May be a while though as i dont know how often i will use them compared to all my other guns. I hope to see you there, and seeing what "weird crap", as you call it, that you bring along ?

@HuttArmouries will you be attending the AFUK meetup? (all going well of course) if so i will bring the mateba along with me, as i still need to get a holster made for it, and i know we spoke about it last year before things went completely crazy... (if you are still open to making the holster of course ? )

that can be arranged ? true, but that is something that i will be putting together over the next few months, as aside from the AFUK meetup, i dont expect to be attending too many CQB games over the early part of this year

im a bloke, so that wont be happening XD but i will be getting a cross draw holster so i can use them as a matching pair in CQB i WILL however be putting together a Togusa cosplay to go along with the Mateba revolver i own, (and yes, complete with mullet wig =P)

well, my new years resolution to not buy any more airsoft stuff (aside from consumables) has already been broken.... bought a number of things from airsoft atlanta... -multiple patches, (mostly WeaponsGradeWaifu patches) - Armourer works Glock type drum mag for my AAP-01 (nowhere in UK has one in stock that i can see) -MAXX ME hop unit with built in tracer -dead rag in pouch i also found the WE limited edition Black lagoon M92 pistols in stock with a supplier in hong kong, so i have bought 2 along with 4 spare mags.

well, i now have a dillema... beginning of this month, the black AAP and rail sets i ordered from wgcshop arrived, as well as the folding stock i ordered from airsoftworld.... then i went to an airsoft game and entered the raffle run by Onlyairsoft as part of their onsite shop, and i won a tan AAP.... what to do? do i keep both and alternate? do i set one as a carbine and keep one as a pistol? do i sell one?

well, i have ended up spending WAY too much the last few weeks... i bought the tag rounds and shells that @DanRunham listed in the classifieds a couple of weeks ago ready for RIFT airsofts milsim event... but that has now been cancelled thanks to the latest from the government ? i also went to my airsoft supplier (combatuk / onlyairsoft in stevenage) to stock up on grenades and bbs... and i ended up buying a new gun.... ARES WA2000 plus nuprol scope... and scope riser to get proper sight picture

already got some abbey 35 oil for my airguns, and i will look into using it on the sten, but i think the manual may be a typo as the steel looks to be "blued", which in itself is a corrosion inhibitor, but i may be wrong i do have a p37 webbing harness and a pair of pouches, but to be able to skirmish the sten i will need more mags, and thus more pouches (or even the bandolier) but with money so tight at the moment, i wont be buying anything much for a few months

im still waiting for mine. nowhere in UK had any, so i ordered from wgcshop in taiwan along with rail sets for mounting a red dot, but they have been out of stock since earlier this year. sent them a message to chase them up, and waiting to hear back from them

have you looked at soldier of fortune? they seem to have a couple of sten parts for sale including skeleton stocks. given that the northeast sten is made to the same dimensions as the real steel, these should fit... https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/sten-gun-no3-mk1-skeleton-stock.html https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/skeleton-rear-pistol-grip-for-sten-gun.html as for anti corrosion, i havent added anything to the gun myself, and i dont believe the previous owner did either, and while i havent noticed any rust forming on it,i am looking into what anti corrosion products would be suitable i only got the sten a couple of weeks ago from the classifieds here, and havent skirmished it yet as i need to get more mags and suitable mag pouches for the 37 pattern webbing

@B.S awesome loadout pics, and once i have some more money i intend on making my own ww2 loadout, most likely british airborne troops at arnhem. I have a mk2 sten i bought recently through the classifieds, and i had the same issue with loading the mags.... until i saw a video from northeast themselves that show them using a speed loader. They hold a finger either side of the feed lips to keep bbs from popping out either side and then use the speed loader to force the bbs straight down through the top of the feed lips into the magazine. Its a bit fiddly, but its less of a ballache than loading 32 bbs by hand Pic of my sten included below, posing besides james hollands new book i acquired last week. Im also wondering if there is a way to get a barrel assembly seperate as a spare part, so i can get the end of the outer barrel machined out. That way i can fit a longer inner barrel to use with the mock suppressor
