  1. From my limited experience Mike at Elite - Fixed my assorted box of parts Speedcat build free of charge when I was learning the ropes. Was happy to chat over the phone about normal hi-capa issues. He’s sent me spare O-rings when nozzles he didn’t sell me destroyed the and even took back some parts that weren’t appropriate and earned every star of the Google review I left him. Kyle at HCH - Has won me over as a customer as he’s a total legend. Shame he doesn’t have much stock at the moment but that will be a different story in the next few weeks. Very knowledgable and couldn’t be more helpful. He offers a service option on the website and I’d be amazed if he couldn’t help! As you may have seen, my experiences with both retailers have been excellent, probably because I spend money like it’s going out of fashion when I’m bored. If you don’t want to get back in touch with Mike, you can’t go wrong with Kyle.
  2. Well, it's arrived. I took some time to admire it. Little did I know that by spending £35 on a mag release, I would become part of a Hi-Capa elite, sharing their skills and essence. By merit of just being on my workbench, still packaged, the Airsoft Masterpiece Infinity Mag release hastened my reload speeds with OTHER guns. As I opened the packaging, I could feel the capacity of my magazines increase, to be fair, I dont even know if I NEED to reload now! I am a better, more fulfilled player now. I can feel it's goodness flowing through me Piss-taking aside. I guess that's the free market price for a mag release with trades and its very shiny It does look pretty cool installed...
  3. Holy Warrior’s own AliExpress store. I think it worked out at £96 once I’d paid taxes and shipping. Arrived days after they shipped. FedEx was super speedy! Still haven’t managed to turn it on, Amazon CR123 order arrives at some point today. Build-wise, it’s incomparable from an old 551 clone I’ve got. Buttons have a good firm click and the lens is much brighter. Ill let you know what the parallax is like when I get some batteries later EDIT - Beaten to it!
  4. SOME CR123 BATTERIES!!! As the very beautiful Holy Warrior EoTech XPS2 clone that arrived this morning didn’t f£&%ng have any... If there was a way to give multiple CAF feedback points, I’d be all over that. GBB PSG-1 - pure distilled awesome
  5. Heard back from Mark at FMJUK, he should have started spraying the M14 parts. E110 is oven-cure so shouldn’t be long before I can reassemble. I bagged up screws and such for each step of disassembly separately so it should be fairly easy to pop it all back together. Still, although it’s not my first rodeo, I’ve printed out the TM exploded view to have at hand. Might redo the cables while I’m at it. I’m not expecting extra pew, it’s already wired for a Gate, so it’s just 2.4mm tab to deans but it’s not the tidiest job. Let’s see how much it nags at me before the receiver comes back!
  6. I think I've hit a new low; £35 on a mag release catch for the parts bin special... Lockdown is killing me
  7. Ah, gotcha! I had a bit of a moment with one of the screws... filling the mag in question with Black gas, the thread on the screw gave out, firing the mag base off and shearing the nozzle on the gas bottle! Gave me a proper fright I think three of them have the Guarder screws, 2 are random.
  8. I can feel that nagging voice in the back of my head telling me to change out the odd mag bumper and gas router
  9. The first three I bought all had issues where a BB would stick just under where the bottom of the lip sits on the right hand side (looking from front). In the end, the opening of the feedlip was a hair narrower than the mag. This time around, random nobrand feedlip showed no such issue. I’ll do the other one when I get a chance to park my arse at my bench later. What do you mean by the scree? Am I being a bit thick?
  10. One mag down, one to go. No feeding issues this time. The new follower springs are much stiffer than my old ones. Frustratingly, couldn’t chrono anything as I took my chrono home to set up in my new garage!
  11. Got a heads up from work that more parts had arrived. Yes, it’s more of the Guarder Magazine bodies I’ve moaned about before but now that I’ve worked out where to file the feed lips, they shouldn’t be a chore this time. Very lightweight magazine. 130g saving a time and five on me means 650g lighter than what I would have been carrying!
  12. I can’t wait to get stuck in at Zed mart. It’s been a journey, this thread, I’m happy with how the pistol formerly known as Novristch turned out. I have a feeling that it may attract the attention of Mr Negative Airsoft, who may - deservedly - think I’m a bit of a bellend for bringing along something so shiny and ugly. With the exposed barrel, tracer and sight, it’s like a modernised Megatron, If, well you know, Megatron was a Pikey
  13. Holy warrior Eotech clone, because I have no self control

You know what, I actually thought about that earlier but I thought: A: You’ve run an M4 through the same chrono B: 100m/s is 330fps, so likely a bit high for green gas Who’d have known!

Did we ever investigate the valve in the nozzle?
  16. I jinxed it anyway by blurting it out here, his much-delayed shipment and once again been flagged. I hope he gets it sorted this/next week. Adv Frame would be a very swish way to christen my new bench in my new garage!
  17. You’ll end up doing an Ali... Kyle has said that order might actually arrive with him tomorrow so you’ll have a spare frame as well as a non-flashy slide... Then it’s only a couple of beers and some idle website browsing before you’ve bought a new BBU etc
  18. I'm cool with July. Looking forwards to it!
  19. Doesn’t hurt to ask. He’s a very welcoming chap to talk to. The only thing you’ll need to give him is a letter to explain that the RIF in question is for collection/skirmishing purposes and you stand to make no financial gain reproducing someone’s trades etc. I don’t blame him for being thorough covering his back!
  20. Definitely worth the wait! I’m over the moon with the job Adrian has done. He’s open to other jobs if anyone wants something unusual done https://www.oxfordengraver.com

I’d try the hammer spring first. One cludgy way of adding tension to the hammer spring if it’s light striking is to place a BB under the hammer spring in the MSH. Certainly quickly rules out light striking
  22. This being Airsoft, nothings quite that simple! The compensators for the Hi-capa style stuff require a specific outer barrel that will accept a comp. those same barrels will not accept a threaded adapter for tracers or silencers. Looking into the minefield of options, I thought it was just easier to get a complete set (barrel+comp) from Mike at Elite. Im happy with the purchase though, totally pointless as it may be, I think it looks cool and it differentiates the gun further from my spattering of Hi-Capas

That’s the way. They’re a right bastard when you’re getting the thumb safety back on... You’ll need a small Allen key or flat head to compress the pin in as you rotate the safety. Slip and it’s off to another dimension somewhere in your carpet!
