My wife surprised me with this on my 30th. The only times it comes off my wrist is bed, bath and game day In return, she’s got a little Longine now. Sometimes, the Bond theme plays in my head when I check my wrist Edit- bloody cat has torn up the rug again. That’s bit of rug all over the carpet...

The Leviathan clocked 44,000 shots with that spring so you’re bang on about the abuse! The new Vltor receiver I picked up from you is beautiful btw. I’ll have to snap some pictures when I get a few minutes! -

Picked up a M140 spring from Pete @ak2m4for a DMR build. On the phone, he was telling me about some new springs he’s got on the way as he was finding a lot of the Chinese-made, steel springs to be garbage-level quality. I thought it was interesting, having never had an issue with springs, and proceeded to have a tinker with one of my high speed builds. After a few games, it started to sound a bit strained and the range had dropped off a cliff. Lo and behold, Chinesium spring had snapped! Very lucky I had that M140 kicking around to replace it with (8 tooth DSG, M140=+-300fps) -
Realistically, nah. It’s going to send a tiny plastic ball about as far as the next pew. For me, I enjoy the tweaky side of things, knowing my kit is unique and I’m under no delusion that cost and performance are directly proportional.

A few cheeky E&C externals from the awesome @ak2m4 Always a pleasure to deal with -
Having recently started pissing money up the wall on custom Hi-Capas, I can see how he’s ended up at that number. It probably cost a damn sight more than that to build! Something is only worth what others will pay though and the merit of all those fancy cnc parts is lost on 99.9% of buyers.

Finally got to try this out at my local field... With the hop actually set, I was outputting 245fps/0.4. A huge reduction from its overall happyness testing in my garage with 0.2. Stripped it down, stuck an m150 in there and with the current hop settings I’m now getting about 305-310 with 0.4’s (eqv 450/0.2). It’s a hell of a spring and getting the shell together was a palava! Ive treated myself to some Geoff’s 0.43’s to see if the power and the mass can give me a bit of an advantage.

2000 Geoff’s 0.43g 2000 Geoff’s 0.36g 6000 Geoff’s 0.28g That should do me for a while! -
Honestly, I was getting better range out of my speedcat than my M14 (450/0.2) with the same 0.36 Geoff’s bbs. The M14 is on my bench in bits to work out how/why! Outranging the AEG crowd for sure. The increase in speed and mobility and being able to keep my frame covered were the biggest advantages The Speedcat was registering just under 260fps with 0.36’s at about 95psi

I picked up an AW drum instead of the M4 mag adaptor. I think, once Kyle starts stocking them, I’ll grab a primary adaptor but until then I’m happy rattling away with my drum mag! It’s amazing how little of your body you need out of cover to snap some shots with the pistol, it really did feel like an unfair advantage

Already been coerced... 5.1+HPA+0.36’s felt like I’d entered a cheat code.

Learnt something about valves on Sunday. Having put Guarder High output valves on all my magazines I’ve realised that high output does not mean higher performance, instead they’re a fast-pass to cool down central. I did a little experiment with a TM valve that was kicking about and shot to shot consistency is far better with seemingly little to no drop in velocity. Got a few TM valves on the way from Mike at Elite and the Guarder ones can go to my ever-growing parts bin

Haha! You lucky sod. I’m thinking of making a bit of a pilgrimage up from Oxfordshire to go shoot him Is it the Warzone site you guys are heading to? -
4.3 sight-wise, I’ve not seen any ghost-style but the AIP fibre ones are bright and light

I’ve become the absolute worst air softer. Yesterday, I ran my Speedcat/HPA rig for most of the day’s main 2 hour game. Flinging 0.36’s and running like a lunatic, I never racked up so many kills in a game! Took an entire squad out solo who were holding one of the objectives. One slightly salty moment when I shot a dead player. From my perspective, no hand up and walking towards players who were waiting to be healed. In his defence, he was waking in the general direction of the respawn so probably thought people would read him as dead. I was taken aback by his reaction, he ran up and unloaded a few pistol rounds on me! I can’t shake the feeling that if I was carrying an AEG and not In Speedyboi mode, he would have reacted differently. Anyway, caught up with him in the safe zone to put it behind us both and ended up playing with his tricked out AAP01. Overall, I felt like a bit of a prat running nothing bar a pistol with a drum mag and an air tank but the results spoke for themselves. After I ran my tank dry, I thought I’d run a more sedate, DMR role for the rest of the day to balance out my Airsoft karma Edit - took a buddy with me, lent him kit including the SSP1 that started this whole thing. He lost the entire pistol at one point! Luckily he found it, but when I got it back he’d managed to lose the thumb-side piece of the thumb safety and the pin set?! How? I don’t know, I mean, you need to take the slide off to remove it?!?

Just snagged one of those new Springfield armoury slides from Kyle. Asked if he could get one tied onto his next order, in the morning I had a photo of the distributor holding the slide next to his packing list That’s service -
I’ve bought a few K Geoff’s 0.36’s to run outdoors. The actual engagement range when I pull a pistol, I could probably be as effective with 0.2’s! With something like an Autobot (maybe + I key) you can lift some heavy stuff, I guess it’s more down to what you’re comfortable spending. The Geoff’s work out to be about £12.50/1000, so with my tight, Scottish blood, I’m going to wince with every pull of the trigger

Mag-wise, I can only speak from personal experience • TM mags - feed and hold gas. • KJ/Nov mags - feed, CO2 mags leak and the gas mags had wildly inconsistent outputs for me. •AW mags - hold gas fine but router doesn’t seem to seal all that well with elite/aip nozzles. • Guarder mags - super lightweight. Fill valves are good quality. Had some feed issues that required filing of the inside bottom of feedlips. Bit wobbly in some grips. • WE mags - feed reliably and gas tight but (not sure if psychosomatic) seemed to cool down quicker than the TM. The WE ones should be absolutely fine, the cool down issue is likely a non issue if you’re planning on running the stock TM slide

I’ve grown rather fond of the CCT dynamic BBU’s. I think I may need to snag a couple when his order comes in. I hope that after the Battlecats, they do a run of 4.3 frames. I’d have one in a heartbeat
-
If it’s who I think it is, it’s Makeit3D and HiCapaHub is a stockist
-
If his barrels are anything to go by, the slides will be superbly toleranced and feather weight
-
Just going to wade in here... I have an HPA set up. It’s rate of fire is exactly the same as when I was putting regular gas mags in my Hi-Capa. Ive also got two DSG AEGs that offer up high 30’s on auto but they’re locked to burst fire and semi It sounds like the problem at your site isn’t with the kit but with the user. Rule 1.) Don’t be a dick to other players

I started trying to fix a few issues with a Novristch. The frame I’ve got on order will complete the second scratch build. There’s something particularly awesome about being in control of each and every part!
