  1. 2000 Geoff’s 0.43g 2000 Geoff’s 0.36g 6000 Geoff’s 0.28g That should do me for a while!
  2. Honestly, I was getting better range out of my speedcat than my M14 (450/0.2) with the same 0.36 Geoff’s bbs. The M14 is on my bench in bits to work out how/why! Outranging the AEG crowd for sure. The increase in speed and mobility and being able to keep my frame covered were the biggest advantages The Speedcat was registering just under 260fps with 0.36’s at about 95psi
  3. I picked up an AW drum instead of the M4 mag adaptor. I think, once Kyle starts stocking them, I’ll grab a primary adaptor but until then I’m happy rattling away with my drum mag! It’s amazing how little of your body you need out of cover to snap some shots with the pistol, it really did feel like an unfair advantage
  4. Already been coerced... 5.1+HPA+0.36’s felt like I’d entered a cheat code.
  5. Learnt something about valves on Sunday. Having put Guarder High output valves on all my magazines I’ve realised that high output does not mean higher performance, instead they’re a fast-pass to cool down central. I did a little experiment with a TM valve that was kicking about and shot to shot consistency is far better with seemingly little to no drop in velocity. Got a few TM valves on the way from Mike at Elite and the Guarder ones can go to my ever-growing parts bin
  6. He’s got a restock incoming that should be leaving HK today or tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy crossing
  7. Haha! You lucky sod. I’m thinking of making a bit of a pilgrimage up from Oxfordshire to go shoot him Is it the Warzone site you guys are heading to?
  8. I’ve become the absolute worst air softer. Yesterday, I ran my Speedcat/HPA rig for most of the day’s main 2 hour game. Flinging 0.36’s and running like a lunatic, I never racked up so many kills in a game! Took an entire squad out solo who were holding one of the objectives. One slightly salty moment when I shot a dead player. From my perspective, no hand up and walking towards players who were waiting to be healed. In his defence, he was waking in the general direction of the respawn so probably thought people would read him as dead. I was taken aback by his reaction, he ran up and unloaded a few pistol rounds on me! I can’t shake the feeling that if I was carrying an AEG and not In Speedyboi mode, he would have reacted differently. Anyway, caught up with him in the safe zone to put it behind us both and ended up playing with his tricked out AAP01. Overall, I felt like a bit of a prat running nothing bar a pistol with a drum mag and an air tank but the results spoke for themselves. After I ran my tank dry, I thought I’d run a more sedate, DMR role for the rest of the day to balance out my Airsoft karma Edit - took a buddy with me, lent him kit including the SSP1 that started this whole thing. He lost the entire pistol at one point! Luckily he found it, but when I got it back he’d managed to lose the thumb-side piece of the thumb safety and the pin set?! How? I don’t know, I mean, you need to take the slide off to remove it?!?
  9. Just snagged one of those new Springfield armoury slides from Kyle. Asked if he could get one tied onto his next order, in the morning I had a photo of the distributor holding the slide next to his packing list That’s service
  10. I’ve grown rather fond of the CCT dynamic BBU’s. I think I may need to snag a couple when his order comes in. I hope that after the Battlecats, they do a run of 4.3 frames. I’d have one in a heartbeat
  11. I started trying to fix a few issues with a Novristch. The frame I’ve got on order will complete the second scratch build. There’s something particularly awesome about being in control of each and every part!
  12. Thought it may be worth showing off a bit of the initiative shown with some of the exclusive products over at HCH This is their 3D printed barrel. It’s a non dropping type and the bore of it fits the inner barrel SNUGGLY. It seats well on this 4.3 frame with no real wobble to speak of, putting some of the hefty steel barrels to shame. It’s also threaded, ready for any 11mm tracer or silencer. For £25, this is a relative bargain; the fit is unlike any of my other outer barrels with next to no droop or sway - making an obvious improvement in consistency. The material feels simultaneously bomb-proof and featherweight so I’m very excited to check out their ultralightweight slides that are due soon! Ali
  13. The difference a lighter BBU makes to the speed of your slide is insane. That was the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back for me! The CCT one's are amazing. Hopefully they'd fit in the JW3 TT slide you've got with no/little modification
  14. Thought I'd have to start a thread on here for those of us that have already found this awesome Hi-Capa boutique to have a bit of a chinwag and to steer those who haven't in the right direction. https://hicapahub.co.uk/ HCH is a one-stop-shop for higher-end Hi-Capa parts, run by one of the most brutally honest enthusiasts I've encountered. If Kyle won't run it himself, he won't range it - a philosophy many other retailers should take note of! I've been in contact recently with Kyle as I've stumbled and bodged my way through building my first Hi-Capa and the advice I've received has allowed me to build a bespoke handgun that performs like a champ, even in the cold! As his business grows, he's adding more and more products to his site, most noticeably, he's the only place outside of Asia that seems to have stock of Airsoft Masterpiece Advance Frames. He's recently added a range of Geoff's BB's at sharp prices, I was thought it would be rude not to snap up his 0.28 tracers There's a preorder live at the moment for Airsoft Masterpiece BattleCat4.3 Slides that will land soon. Seeing how quickly some of the AM slides sell out, don't think about it, just order the bloody thing. I'm looking forwards to seeing people's pictures of their 4.3 builds, mines going to be a very milsim black and gold Good service should be lauded, this guy's a pro
  15. Just heard on the grapevine that HiCapa Hub will be getting a fairly significant delivery of railed frames, 4.3 parts and a general restock in early May. I've bagsied a Black, railed Infinity frame. If youve been on the fence, I wouldnt hang about, hit Kyle up!
  16. First game back is on the 25th so I’ve been testing excitedly. Got one bbu/nozzle combo that’s giving slightly lower than expected FPS but it’s perfectly fine as a loaner for my best mate who’s playing for the first time in 14 years! Refilling the HPA tank isn’t much fun but I’ll soon have arms like Popeye. Also found a good solution for carrying the tank without koing myself when I run! Excuse the worlds messiest workshop! FullSizeRender.mov
  17. It’s always amazing how some people cannot accept being wrong sometimes. Those debates are always amazing examples of them! The one a few weeks ago about barrel lengths and range was fun Steering the ship back on course. What differentiates a normal BBU from a full auto one? I’ve got a box of spares and very little to do
  18. To be fair, I’m half surprised no one has created an account to defend the SSP1 in its stock form and tell me I’m a halfwit for doubting it’s god-tier-performance
  19. Out of context, it sounds pretty unsportsmanlike, but the speed soft joke has been fairly consistent through this thread
  20. I was thinking that I’d need the full 350rds of the drum. Given that I won’t be calling hits and need to overshoot rentals, it’ll be a long time between going back to the safe zone to refill mags git gud
  21. Sometimes, I think I have to make a mistake before I can understand why to approach an issue from a different direction. The drum mag is cool and it definitely appeals to the part of me that likes stupid chunky things BUT now I totally understand why the M4 adaptors are popular. The drum is noisy, hell it’s basically a high cap mag, and it’s heavy which makes the benefit in cqb questionable, as you’ve pointed out. Between the advice here and from Kyle at HCH, I’ll pick up a primary M4 adaptor when he starts to stock them. Until then, I’m going to have a lot of fun and a lot of funny looks with this. Quick question for those still here, how do you carry a tank and not knock yourself the fuck out? I’ve put it in a 48ci bottle pouch and it’s as floppy as your grandads ball sack
  22. Had some teething issues with one of my grips not liking the AW magazine, but now I’ve got four very snappy Capas running. Must have fired 600 shots earlier testing everything out, maybe more. Definitely cleared 1 1/2 drums and a fair bit of dry firing. Need to bust out the hand pump again at some point over the weekend. At least I’ll be fitter come game day!
  23. You know what they say; "One step forward, two steps back"
  24. I’m going to have to do some weights. This thing is pretty heavy now...
