Bought a new scope today (no photo as of yet) for on my long gun (just an AEG, but like, long). Managed to use it right away and got some decent distance hits with it.

Finally got a good photo of myself again. Very simple loadout: 4 M4 mag pouches, one double mag pouch for my ODIN speedloader, dumppouch and a generic pouch to keep my wallet/keys/phone in. Bought a new mouthmask as well, this one is more of a tube scarf with a bit of mesh on one side, so no straps around my head, was getting a bit full there (straps for goggles (with EXFOG and top strap for it), straps for mouthmask, straps for comms headset, almost had no more place to put any of it.)

The marshalls have definitely improved, mostly because they now have some older ones walking around, not just a bunch of kids. Wait time between rounds is still a bit much tho, not like Red Alert we they say 5 minutes, and then actually mean 5 minutes. (double what they say and you'll be in the ballpark.)

Had a good day at Skirmish Wycombe on Sunday, played together with a few forum members. Won the first two games (point capture) quite easy as we had some fast runners (myself included) run forward, get the point and from there on it was just defend as good as possible, both games (switching sides for the 2nd) went similarly so it wasn't because one side had better ground or something. Personal highlight: shooting people's feet when they thought they were safe behind a barrier. another highlight, sneaking into a building the other team was convinced was controlled by theirs, Shot a gun that was peaking through the doorway (guy wasn't wearing gloves, sorry not sorry😅) and got a "I'm team Red!!" shouted at me, which was answered with an "I'm not!" After that a couple of attack and defend missions. I had some trouble getting most of my team to advance so ended up running forward myself hoping the rest would follow (some of them did...) Got a nice blood blister on my left hand ringfinger thanks to a point blank shot when I went around a barrier (told him afterwards he's a [moderated] but good shot) Last 2 missions were attack and defend again, but this time a different one, attacking a hill, always my favourite at this site). Managed to sneak up one side with a few other players and slowly managed our way to the other side (but again had difficulty getting the rest of the team to advance). Other team ended taking the hill in 4 seconds(!!) less than us, so that was annoying... 😅 Overall, good day, 10/10, would do again. Now looking forward to Red Alerts Battlesim light on Sunday, need to find my radio pouch again...

Next Skirm July 16th Next Battlesim light at Red Alert July 23rd (@skullchewer, you and the other Outcasts going? Need another meatshield squadmate?) It's been a few weeks since I played, need to get back on the field again...

Bought a Perun, G&G ETU for my rifle as the old one kinda broke. This one has much more modes in the settings which I've been playing around with. Looking forward to testing it tomorrow.

I asked the same question on reddit and was told of for trying to break the law. However that was likely US law they were talking about and I think that I, technically, didn't break any UK law (as I have a license) I decided to remove the question anyway so to not get this forum in any potential trouble (or am I being to cautious?). But the answer involved some fiddling in CHIRP (free program which which you can re-program your Baofeng) and now it works as I want it to.

Did my first battlesim today, at Red Alert. Was good fun, even tho both my RIF's didn't get used. One of them was still 2 above the FPS limit, even after shortening the spring. The other one had the MOSFET burn out... Thankfully I met up with @Skullchewerand @GAMBLEand their squad (Thanks again for having me join and thanks for putting up with me!), and one of them had a spare RIF for me to use (absolute legend!). The gameplay itself was great, much slower pace than the usual airsoft skirms, but it did involve more squad communication (even tho the comms failed sometime around lunch, which left me and 3 others (out of 9) as the sole people with working comms) and more tactical manouvering which made me feel very tacticool! Looking forward to the battlesim light Red Alert is going to start running.

You play airsoft, so this was already implied.

Quick question. What kind of missions can we expect? Just attack/hold/defend? Or will there also be items to carry or something? Just trying to figure out if I need to change my load-out at all.

Got fired from my job making kitchens. Apparently I was counter productive...

Bought an old ammo crate. (only GBP10,00. so no biggie) The add said the crate was 96CM long with walls of 1CM thick. Rifle is, stock at the shortest, 89CM. Thought it would make a cool looking rifle case (and actually not even that heavy). Turns out the walls are 1" thick with the blocks where the rope goes through another 1", so a total loss of 4" over both sides. Gonna have to cut 3CM of off my flashider it seems 😅

"Plays intelligently" Except for that VIP round where you were already on our team and I shot you anyway. The nipple shot was just me showing off. But yeah, was great to play together, you looked quite cozy in that valley, are you sure you didn't just fall asleep and woke up when the whistle went? Can't wait for the battlesim on Sunday (already made sure I'm in the same squad)

Ooh, that reminds me, those 45 degree angle iron sights. Works great for Real steel, doesn't work for things with a hop-up!

Good day at Red Alert Airsoft. Met with @Skullchewer and had some good fun. Especially the last game mode (can't remember the name of it) was fun. (no spawn, you raise your hand when you're hit and others can revive you. Aim is to shoot all the enemies so there's noone left to revive them) Only downside was my new G&G Firehawk shot a bit too hot (307 FPs with 0.28's, where the max was 296). Hopefully gonna be able to get the spring out this week to shorten it a bit and get it within limits for the battlesim on Sunday. Lastly, this was my first time using the ExFog system. It worked an absolute treat, haven't had any fogging at all today. 10/10, would recommend.
