  1. Do you mean something like this? https://milspecmonkey.com/store/pouches-panels/819-msm-large-patch-panel.html
  2. When it's 16:00 and we have to pack up and go home again
  3. Went and joined a gameday at Red Alert Newbury today. Absolutely great day, cool field and marshalls.

Lot of running back and from spawn for me but I managed quite a decent amount of 'kills' as well.

    Would go again ✌🏻

Yeah, it was a last-minute decision, otherwise I would've put it up here, but I loved the field so there definately will be a next time.

Not so sure about the Gulag tho, I have this feelibg I won't fare well in there. But as soon as I buy myself a sidearm I'll be up for trying it out.

The Gulag is awesome. Don't worry about doing badly. That's most of the fun 😂

  4. So what you're saying is that I'm more accurate than the average USGI/Vietcong?
  5. Personally I hate when people write "of" instead of "have" Should of, would of, etc. It's not really apparent when speaking, but writing it down that way just annoys me to no end.
  6. I guess my main weakness is anxiety as well (unless I go airsofting, I have no troubles going to a skirm by myself, most of you airsoft types are allright.) Airsoft related: the trigger. 😅 Took my new toy out last Sunday, easily went through over 7.500bb's I think. Guess I should try to stick to semi auto a bit more, rather than 3 round burst. Maybe also leave the drum mag in the safety zone and stick to 5 midcaps (note to self: buy more midcaps)
  7. I wouldn't trust sapphire glass. It has a good resistabce against scratches, but will break quite easily when dropped. If you get hit on the edge, or on an already existing crack, it'll shatter. And it's also way more expensive than some polycarb.
  8. as we discussed, I am ;). and I think @GAMBLE might also be there. I hope the weather dries up a little bit, the current forecast means I need to bring some gaiters, and a towel.
  9. depending on the situation, any time lost setting up the bipod won't really matter, if you're defending you're not likely to be moving and want to stay down and out of sight anyway, if you're attacking it depends on the tempo you're gaining ground. AFAIK the foregrip/bipod combo's drop quite quickly with the push of a button, with the bigger standalone bipods you need to manualy fold both legs down, which can take a bit longer. I'm thinking of getting one as well, but so far I haven't seen one for M-lok yet, so I might just buy an RIS raila dapter at some point.
  10. I feel personally attacked. Having said that, I only bought one of those until I have some time to do some private work on the workshop's lathe and make a plastic/aluminium holder for some custom polycarb discs.
  11. Bit longer drive for me (a whole 60 min.), but this review made me want to go here sometime. You mention lunch was not included in the price, was it expensive?
  12. I was very close to become a watchmaker (and am now working as a clockmaker for a big London Museum). Aside from a £15,- watch I use at airsoft, I have 3 watches, 2 from Argos that cost me £10,- and £15,- respectively and which I use to make sure all the clocks are on time, and a good mechanical watch I don't usually wear. As I work with some very old and probably quite valuable clocks and watches on a daily basis, I don't really care about owning expensive watches, I'd love to own a Patek Philippe some day, but maybe after I've won the lottery (and then first stop myself from buying a better car and spending the rest on RIF'S)
  13. I usually have one or two 0,5L bottles on me, refill when possible. I also try not to carry just water but put some of those pills that basically turn it into a sportsdrink (can;t remember the name right now) as I know myself and I also need the salt and minerals, otherwise I'm likely to faint. I also will take some snacks/sweets with me on the field, just in case.
  14. Pfff, tell me about it, I'm struggling to find a scope protector or decent speedloader. Guess I'll just deal with what I have now
  15. Got my first RIF G&g TR16 MBR 556WH with 4 extra mags. Can't wait to try it on the field
  16. https://camouflage.fandom.com/wiki/Partizan Turns out it is an actual pattern. I had to google it as well tho. Cool camo tho, not alpenflage cool, but still cool. At least this works outside of autumn
  17. Well, I had a rental as well. Granted it was my 3rd time there so I didn't need the intro. But could be that I missed it as I did go into the shop at some point to get my UKARA sorted, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt
  18. One thing I just remembered is that I don't recall them doing an intro for rental players. But maybe I just missed that.
  19. Just so I'm sure will these batteries: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/nuprol-11-1v-2600mah-20c-nunchuck-lipo-battery fit in this RIF: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/g-and-g-armament-tr16-mbr-556wh?fv=8093 thanks
  20. Went here last Sunday (August 2nd) and they have done a lot of improvements on the buildings. The safety zone has been updated and looks "fresher" although now with less roofs over the tables so less dry space when it rains. Some of the buildings who had fallen down in the past have also been rebuild, most noticeable is their killhouse (the CQB zone) which I mentioned in my previous reply. It has been rebuild and looks very sturdy (and is a bitch to infiltrate 😅). Only downsides I saw was that all the paths had been overgrown, but that was to be expected for 5 months of inactivity. Just before starting the 3rd game I noticed a wasp nest and after some back and forth between marshalls and owner we were brought to another field and from what I heard they had someone over to deal with the nest the same day. (I did feel quite sorry for the two female marshalls who both got stung a couple of times as well as one player, thankfully another player had anti-waspsting spray with him and icepacks were provided to help with the swelling). In short: they used the lockdown downtime to do some improvements in both the field and safety zone. I have since last weekend become a site member, so you might see me playing here every now and then
  21. Welcome. NAE sounds like a fun festival, would probably have gone this year too if lockdown hadn't said no. 2021 it is. At least this gives me some time to get some friends from abroad to come join me there
  22. Site membership and therefore also one of them UKARA memberships. About time, tried to get this in march, but lockdown said no.
