  1. The mags disassemble through pins, which I think is a step backwards. The slide is apparently a new material, which should be good. I read that the mags were improved because of the diecast material, but they said that about the Gen.4 as well. Also it seems to have the same 15mm BBU as the Gen.4, although presumably a different shape. Don't forget it also depends if you like finger groves on your grip or not. As a RIF I think it's cool if it's from a film, show or game you really like. I'm not sure what the Gen.5 17 has been featured in yet? I will also add it depends on what you want to do with it. I've just done a full FDE Gen.4 build with 100% Guarder upper, it's beautiful and works very well. They're working on it as we speak, but it'll be a while before Guarder parts are readily available.
  2. The stock one is decent and fits perfectly with the stock hop unit and rubber. If you want to upgrade for upgradings sake, the stalker stuff looks high-end... https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/morpheus-dual-bore-aap-01-barrel-129mm.html
  3. "punchy" based on what? Just sound?
  4. They're one of the most popular and long-standing brands, so it's only natural that you see more of them being sold and bought. Also as has been mentioned, airsofters are fickle, someone will pile a load of money into a build, still feel unfulfilled and sell it to justify moving onto the next one.
  5. If you're covering it in silicone spray, that may be the issue 😬
  6. Personally I think Vorsk/Raven/WE/Armorer Works 1911 hop units are just nigh-on useless. Is this just for the look or do you want to do some serious skirmishing with it?
  7. I love the look of the AA-12, but had an awful time trying to use it in a woodland game. Range wasn't competitive and I found it too cumbersome to effectively push up with. The continuous drum mag electric winding sound just made the whole experience a bit more tragic, haha.
  8. What are the inconsistencies you speak of? FPS? You'll see similar with CO2 and the mags will cause you issues sooner rather than later.
  9. I second this, TM MP7 GBBR Mag. Clean it up and it might be worth £20 posted to someone.
  10. @Tackle - I think we're talking about different situations. I mean when someone who doesn't have a pet says "I can't afford £150 to buy a cat. Can anyone give me one for free?" You seem to be referring to caring pet owners, running in to unexpected difficulties? I of course wouldn't look down on the latter.
  11. At least it's an inanimate object. I've seen people online begging for free pets, because they apparently don't have any money. I would like to chalk up the majority to kids just dreaming, but unfortunately have seen cases where adults willing take on a cat they can't afford any medical treatment for.
  12. AAP's are really easy to disassemble, especially the upper. You mention the iron sights and ejection port being areas of concern. If you remove the upper and then take the allen screws out of the rear iron sight, the bolt will come out. Four more allen screws and you've separated the upper from the barrel and removed the hop unit and inner barrel entirely. When it comes to the lower, getting the trigger and bolt release spring in place can be a bit fiddly if you've never done it before, but that's what I'd do.

Is there a plan to make green gas mags for it?

Skirmished a handful of times, so some minor marks present but still in good condition overall. This pistol is totally stock and will come in it's original box with 1 x leak free/working mag and extra broken mag for spares/repair. Only selling as I rarely play these these days. Stated price includes PayPal feels and tracked postage. Please PM any questions as I don't get notifications for anything asked on the listing.

Modelled on an Agency Arms Glock 17, this comes with the kind of features usually found on far more expensive builds. These include slide cutout to lighten, aggressive front serrations, factory stipple-effect (Lone Wolf) frame, extended slide release, flared magwell and adjustable flat trigger. This particular one was skirmished just once, so is in great overall condition. Only selling as I'm currently whittling my collection down to pieces I know I'll skirmish on the occasional times I go these days. Stated price includes PayPal feels and tracked postage. Please PM any questions as I don't get notifications for anything asked on the listing.

Unlike most of these you'd buy from a UK retailer, this one has Detonics markings. It's in very good overall condition. It feels solid and heavy in the hand. Comes with a one leak free mag, one leaking mag, full Guarder aluminium hop unit kit and Maple Leaf bucking. I have reduced the price because it's started not locking back and firing strangely on either magazine. I'm not going to say "easy fix" as I don't know, but I have priced accordingly. Stated price includes PayPal feels and tracked postage. Please ask any questions via PM as I don't get notifications for anything added to the listing.

  17. For the most part these take standard TM Hi-Capa parts, so have a look on Hi-Capa Hub. Also speaking from experience, don't worry about too much about matching golds in Airsoft. As it's only paint and not actual electroplating, the finish and hue varies so much.
  18. "Job lot" is somewhat of a fantasy, unless you're talking about selling it to a retailer like Action Hobbies and then you'll get pennies on the pound.
  19. I certainly wouldn't have a full metal green gas 1911 as my only pistol. Honestly, in terms of size, weight, performance etc, I think the TM G19 is one of the best sidearms around...but you should buy something you like the look and feel of. Just know that you're choosing the latter over reliability.
  20. Actually yes, this. I love the look of the original stainless one, but it doesn't have a de-cocker or adjustable hop.
  21. I know both...because I always use 0.28's in my rifles and obsess over getting them to 285fps.
  22. This is just for plinking at home, right? Even the older TM pistols are great, just slightly less snappy without the 15mm BBU.
