  1. Not sure if there's an "owners thread" on this pistol?

I've just picked one up and few queries/comments. The first being how the hell do you load these? I've tried angling the supplied speed loader as illustrated in the manual but really struggling to get more than one or two BB's at a time in.

The only other GKH gun I've owned before was a G5 and remember they had a similar (the same?) speed loader attachment. However I don't remember having this issue to such a degree.

Other than that I'm pretty impressed so far. The kick is not as snappy as the TM version (I guess that should be obvious, comparing to a plastic slide) but the recoil is definitely stronger. Overall this definitely isn't one for the "speedi boi's" but seems top notch for collecting, training, plinking etc.

Also, I don't like putting unnecessary wear on my stuff, so don't do it too much but I must say, racking the slide is addictive. Unlike TM and VFC Glock's, there's no roller to get over, so it's smooth all the way but like a real pistol, it won't go back into battery unless you give it a nice sharp full pull back and release.

  2. Appreciate the detailed response. I can stretch to an MWS and having had a TM MP7 previously, the best thing about it was that it never so much as even hinted at suffering from cool-down. I stupidly sold it, tried to replace it with a Vorsk VMP, which wasn't terrible but just not on the same level for consistent shooting.

  3. Hi All,

After likely retiring from skirmishing (at least for the foreseeable) and getting in to spring airguns for target shooting, I'm still thinking about picking up a GBBR for use in the garden.

My garden is 35 metres long, well fenced and the neighbours are aware that these aren't real firearms etc. Anyway, as I want a semi-automatic rifle, I'm considering one of the TM MWS range. I of course know they're not shot on shot accurate like an air rifle can be, but in a similar position would you guys go for one or maybe a TM MP5 NGRS?

I've always wanted an MP5 and can't wait any longer for TM to announce a GBB version.

  4. A strange one, I've also had a visit (at work actually). Once I was able to explain I was importing it using my UKARA defence, because I was an active airsofter, they were satisfied. We even joked about it, as several of their colleagues were airsofters too.

The RIF remained seized by Border Force though, as by that stage I would have had to go to court over it and I didn't think it was worth it.

Don't forget, even if you have a valid defence, the RIF may be seized if the shipper misdeclares to customs. ie by stating "toy" or "model part" etc.

  5. I've just stuck a AM Limcat slide on my TM 4.3. It runs fine but I guess the added weight has made it a touch more sluggish (nothing drastic). I'm using a Guarder lightweight BBU, as I already had one lying around and I don't want to spend a ton on this build. Will changing the hammer spring make a positive difference? Any other recommendations?

  6. I should imagine it's either:

    1) Site owners friend/son wants to be a YouTuber and is sick of getting lit up as they stand in plain sight, 25M away from the opposing team.

    2) They've had numerous mid-game arguments about MED's and they're trying to motivate the snipers to ensure they keep plenty of distance.

Some sites I've played at won't let people play with a boltie/DMR unless they have a sidearm, so they're less tempted to break the MED.

  7. If this were the latest version I'd say around £110 (Paypal fees and postage included), but I don't think this one has the 15mm BBU, does it? So you'd be relying on someone who specifically wants this design (hogue style grips etc). Either way, not more than that but you can of course list for whatever and reduce as you see fit if it's not selling.

Before uploading, resize them to the smallest you can accept depending on what its for.

High quality would be around 1600 and lowest 640

I'm trying to clear some space and that link only takes me to a "something went wrong" message.

How can I delete my attachments.

  9. Bought an optic on here which was advertised as genuine, checked with Vortex and they say its fake. The seller has more of the same and has since changed their ad to include the word "replica"

Surely you have a watertight case for "not as described" through Paypal?

  10. AAP nozzles are fussy with hop rubbers, try it with the stock one. If that doesn't make a difference, revert back to the original bolt. It's a tricky balance, if not setup perfectly, lightweight bolts don't have enough oomph to fully return to battery. I've found installing a stronger recoil spring can help with this.

  11. Anything like this you're always better off splitting it out as much as possible. Which version of the Evo is this? I recently sold a 2020 edition in FDE with spring, guide rod, hop rubber and barrel upgrades for £250 with 1 x mid-cap mag. By that metric you're looking at around £200  posted for the Evo by itself. The WE G18C may go for around £80 posted.

Thank you for this tip. I had one doing the same thing. Gave it a drop of silicone and it sorted it. 👌🏻

Awesome! Yeah, quite often they get stuck in just enough to release gas. This should be anyone's first process, if their mag is venting from the top. Applies to green gas mags too (although they suffer from it less, if kept gassed).

What about the tm bbu: will it fit the Guarder slide without much sanding?

I tested this last night and firstly a disclaimer: This FDE build is something I did this year, when the Guarder Gen4 parts had been out for a while. Everything fit perfectly with zero modification. However another Gen4 build I did when the parts first came out was a nightmare. There was a massive gap between the slide and frame, the dummy ejector was mis-sized (I contacted Guarder and they admitted it was a production error) and it just refused to cycle smoothly.

So I can't comment on the particular parts you have or will buy. However I can confirm that the stock Gen4 BBU fits and works in this slide without any modification.

    Hope that helps!
