Also, just don't buy a gun with those massive cut-outs in the receiver. They do nothing other than give mud and crap a way inside it.

Bought an optic on here which was advertised as genuine, checked with Vortex and they say its fake. The seller has more of the same and has since changed their ad to include the word "replica"
Surely you have a watertight case for "not as described" through Paypal?

AAP nozzles are fussy with hop rubbers, try it with the stock one. If that doesn't make a difference, revert back to the original bolt. It's a tricky balance, if not setup perfectly, lightweight bolts don't have enough oomph to fully return to battery. I've found installing a stronger recoil spring can help with this.

Anything like this you're always better off splitting it out as much as possible. Which version of the Evo is this? I recently sold a 2020 edition in FDE with spring, guide rod, hop rubber and barrel upgrades for £250 with 1 x mid-cap mag. By that metric you're looking at around £200 posted for the Evo by itself. The WE G18C may go for around £80 posted.

Thank you for this tip. I had one doing the same thing. Gave it a drop of silicone and it sorted it. 👌🏻
Awesome! Yeah, quite often they get stuck in just enough to release gas. This should be anyone's first process, if their mag is venting from the top. Applies to green gas mags too (although they suffer from it less, if kept gassed).

Have you sprayed silicone on the knocker valve while pushing it in several times?

What about the tm bbu: will it fit the Guarder slide without much sanding?
I tested this last night and firstly a disclaimer: This FDE build is something I did this year, when the Guarder Gen4 parts had been out for a while. Everything fit perfectly with zero modification. However another Gen4 build I did when the parts first came out was a nightmare. There was a massive gap between the slide and frame, the dummy ejector was mis-sized (I contacted Guarder and they admitted it was a production error) and it just refused to cycle smoothly.
So I can't comment on the particular parts you have or will buy. However I can confirm that the stock Gen4 BBU fits and works in this slide without any modification.
Hope that helps!

Likely "work with" yes, but even the steel barrel rubs. I should imagine the plastic outer barrel would get damaged pretty quickly. Why would you want that combo anyway? This is my Gen4 with CNC aluminium slide and steel outer barrel:

The worst part is that he's describing it as a gas powered shotgun.

I will add, my colleague who is an avid proper mountain biker and just spent £4.5K on an e-Bike, has recommended this one but it's certainly right at the top end of what I'd want to pay:

That one is so cheap! I was also looking at their Voodoo Mambo:
Well not looked properly yet but will swing by Halfords on the way home.

Oh cool, way more bites than I thought I'd get here.
I was considering a "hybrid" style as I may use it on roads but mostly trail type riding, definitely no hardcore literal-mountain biking though. So I don't think I need a full-suspension £10K beast.
I did see the Halfords ones, but they seem suspiciously cheap. Glad to hear you're getting some good bang for your buck though @Rogerborg. My commute would be doable by bike, but as you mentioned, I don't want to arrive a sweaty mess and spend the next eight hours sitting at a desk.
So year Carrera could be an option, I've also been looking at the Raleigh Centros or one of the Specialised line-up.
I definitely want something low-maintenance but still not sure if hub or derailleur gears are better suited for my needs?

I know this is reaaallly off-topic but does anyone on here have much experience buying and owning one or more (most of us are geared towards collecting!)?
I am considering getting one, ideally <£2500. So any tips etc would be greatly appreciated.

Full-auto pistols are proper ashtray on a motorbike uselessness too. Either you're too close to use full-auto, or you're too far to use a pistol. Not to mention most just dump gas while spraying BB's on random trajectories.
Pistol drum mags are also fragile and suffer from cooldown way before you're through a decent number of BB's. I don't even like the 50 round Glock mags. My stock TM Glock 26 can't get through one before it's out of gas.

I’ve got a gen 3 one I can test tomorrow in my gen 4. I imagine it would work fine. It’s for sale £15
Yeah, they're the same mag. Especially if it's one of the newer ones with a mag release notch on both sides.

I have both and prefer these to the warrior one:

I have raised this with the event organisers. Will let you know what they say.
It's nearly as mad as me taking a letter from my neighbour saying he has seen me chrono and it's just below legal.
They deleted the post forty minutes after posting it.
