Damn right! Only came to £240 shipped - the cheapest I'd found in the UK for the same rifle was £340 before shipping, so I'm prrtty pleased. It's also the purdiest AK out there!

I am SO excited. I haven't had a decent AK in so long! I've also decided to get an LCT AK74 kit for the cheap and tatty TM AK I picked up!

To be honest, for an old TM AK47, if it's ex-rental, about £50 is a nice price to pay, £105 is a bit much IMO. A tenner on the other hand is just ridiculous. TM AK series tend to be fairly quiet in a sense, I think though it's more that they have a different sound to most guns; a lot of AEG are very "snappy" in their sound, whereas the AK series tend to be a bit more "woody", if that makes any sense at all, if anything it makes them harder to hear at range, mostly because they sound further away than they are... Interesting project you've suggested, I quite like the idea of the paintjob especially - it's going on the "serious contenders" pile

Started working on a new charity at work and it's pretty much the easiest and nicest feeling charity ever. Anthony Nolan - getting people to give us £2 a week is guaranteed to save one life per donor per year, not a bad deal for £104. Also being trained up for promotion which will be pretty funky (not to mention lucrative). Paid off my holiday. The misses is getting me a lego X-Wing Starfighter for christmas. Also getting a new pistol and site membership at the Grange this weekend. Pretty much on top of the world at the moment. EDIT: New Despicable Me trailer looks sick too! Today is a GOOD day!

New job is going excellent. Gonna finish my M4 next Saturday then it just needs the internals rebuilding (which will take a week) and then to find some mags that fit it (for some reason, ARES plastic mags are REALLY hard to get in and out of the magwell), and then boom - that's finished. Earning enough to pay monthly membership to the Grange soon which is also good. Finius is happy.

Stupid people on eBay. Selling a laptop as "Broken or for spares", in my listing clearly stating that it's not boxed and I don't have the manuals but will look for them. Do NOT then win my laptop and proceed to state that unless I find the manuals you will not pay for it. This is naughty. For a start, on a serious note it breaches a contract, which is a whole mess of messy law. Secondly, if manuals were critical to the purchase, could you not have had the common courtesy to ask before yano, bidding. Time wasters do my nut.

My M4 is inching closer and closer to being a real boy each and every passing day. This makes me very happy. There's something a lot nicer about finishing a project than simply adding to guns that don't really need any work; since I started on my M4 again, pretty much every other gun I've got (even the famed L85 of much fiery plastic death) has been pretty much ignored, except for the odd clean/check up.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with Wolf Armouries, mostly the same email issues as Ed. Terrible customer service but such a good range of hard-to-find lovelies
