Don't have my PS3 anymore =[ Though I might buy another one just so I can play The Last Of Us, 'cos it looks fucking amazing.

I don't know! Have Russia and the US actually EVER fired a shot at each other? I think Russians just get labelled as the enemy because Russia is where THE terrorist weapon came from lol. The Cold War is like, the only "war" between the US and Russia... Seems like Russia must've really bummed out on that one... But yeah, more armies needed!

I agree with Craig, the campaign was great. The multiplayer was done by a whole different set of people though, to me it barely seemed like the same game. But the campaign had leaning, it had sliding (if you went into a crouch whilst running) and when you changed fire modes on rifles, the selector lever ACTUALLY moved! If all other shooters would introduce those mechanics, it would improve them significantly. BF3 could really do with a lean stance. Speaking of BF3 though, I want them to give some new army's to play as. It'd be cool if you could play as more than just Russia or the US Army. There ought to be a British pack, maybe also Canadian, Israeli, German, French and they ought to all come with the tanks, jeeps, ACPs, jets, guns, player skins etc. I think it'd be badass if you could play as Britain, have the RIS L85, drive around in a Challenger II, fly a Lynx/Apache or a Tornado/Typhoon etc. They could make the different army's additional DLC or something.

Just some basic Motorola thing. TLKR T6 I think. The bowman I'm getting is a lookalike, not the real deal.

Some photos from today's "Big Sunday" at Skirmish Airsoft in Mansfield, day after the night game. My first ever airsoft weekender. Shame I don't have my Oakleys, UBACS or Bowman headset yet, this photo could've been much better: It's the site's Facebook page cover photo though, so I'm quite pleased about that My forum patch is clearly visible this time too, so no moaning about it, Ian lol.

Uni work is a thing of the past, the L119 build is coming along nicely, the performance is stupid crazy good, I haven't even touched the internals... Well, apart from shimming the gearbox and rewiring (G&P might be good after all) Second LLM arrived today, as did my second speed loader, stock pad for the L119, 5000 .25s all ready for the weekend My girlfriend even made it into Nottingham Trent, despite having a billion epileptic fits around her exam period, for the second year in a row. So considering that she's done exceptionally well. Especially considering this year's A Levels have been a lot harder. Sheffield Uni where I work have 1200 places going, grabbable through clearing! Usually there isn't even 1!

Could you write a review for it once you've given it a thorough in-field test? It looks like a good alternative to a BFG. -

Stock pad for L119 build, some Z1 .25s (I'll have to see if the horror stories are true), another speed loader - since me and my brother both run real caps and have about 10 mags each, it takes effing forever to load up inbetween games. Also bid on an MTP UBACS on the bay of e and although I didn't really "buy it" per se, I've also paid for the L119 to be rewired to the stock tube, 'cos I was REALLY close to destroying it with a hammer. -

Eastern European families are renown for being huge, like 7+ family members. They're also stereotypically poor. So most people view them as ramming loads of people into a tiny space, a bit like sardines in a tin, or clowns in a car. I think the joke was that because the stock tube is so massive, it would be considered roomy by an Eastern European family. Your ability to understand jokes is almost as terrible as my mothers' lol. -
Ah right, I assumed you were talking about your sniper, what with you starting work on it all over again and everything.

Have you tried altering the fps? Or using different ammo? Different fps/ammo configurations can get the same range result but the hop responds differently. When my L85 was over hopping .25s with the hop off, I lowered the fps slightly, problem solved and there's no noticeable performance drop. Just a suggestion. But I fully understand if you still want to understand WHY it's doing what it's doing, as well as wanting the utmost from the gun. 'Cos I'm the same. But, it might be worth trying a slightly weaker spring. Have you passed it through a chrono?

Y'know, the mag of that 417, as well as the Emags I have show something that really irritates me... They show the rounds stacking literally parallel to each other. It's like there's two separate columns of rounds. They're supposed to be staggered ffs! Emags are meant to be made by Magpul to a really high quality, so how'd they make such a retarded mistake? It's even more obvious on that 417 mag though. I know I'm just picky, but it does annoy me. Other than that, I think the 417 looks fucking sexy as hell, especially the stock. I like how they've made the buffer tube fatter to account for the fact it's a 7.62 and not a 5.56 as well. I don't think other companies tend to do that. -
Well, most students are only poor because they go out boozing every bloody night. I can't stand clubs, or the people who go to them, or the feeling you wake up with the next morning after going to one. So instead of wasting money on having a "good time" I spend it all on airsofting, I've got a lot more to show for it than all my alcoholic mates.

Finally sold my M14 and my MEU. Feels weird to only have 3 guns. Additionally, I'll soon be free of my Uni work and to top it all off, I've got a mini-weekender next weekend. Happy days!

I used to be fucking scared shitless of Abe's Odyssey ahaha. I never dared play it past about the 3rd level because the sligs or whatever they were called used to make that noise that made me brown my trousers xD

Thanks I'm hoping it'll help a few people out. I would consider myself a self appointed ICS L85 guru, so if anyone has any questions about it PM me and I'll be happy to help.

I need the right flash hider, a sling mount, the right gas block/front sight, the right grip, a rubber pad for the stock, more Emags, a sling and the receiver. That's assuming I can even find all of that. If I want it to be 100% accurate I'll also have to cut the outer barrel down by half an inch. And I've been a moderator for about a week now I think, Dev appointed me one because 3 moderators are currently away, including him. Finius got upgraded to Moderator status as well. -

It's looking like I might finally be rid of my M14, so soon I'll have £255 on my hands, as well as a new ACOG that was part of the swap/sale. Only lame thing is that the remaining parts I need to finish my L119 still add up to over £400 lol. Not to mention the fact that I need food and stuff to live... -
I got some TurtleBeach headphones for my Xbox the other day and oh my god, Battlefield3 is just one, long, never ending eargasm from start to finish. You get a degree of surround sound too, so it's upped my game slightly, I can hear shots in the distance and know which direction they're coming from, as well as ambushing people running because I can hear where they are It's awesome. The only downside is that if you're chatting with them at the same time the chat tends to block out the sounds of the game, regardless of the volume settings. You also have to have the volume really high to get the full effect, so as a result I'm going deaf lol.

Just heard back from UKAPU and they think I sound perfect for the position! =D So I might well soon be UKAPU's student representative. Anyone have any project ideas for me?

Did it not fit on with low mounts? I never liked the look of anything on high mounts. The scope looks nice though. What's the reticule/zoom/is it illuminated? etc.

I FU*KING HATE VERSION 2 GEARBOXES! Is it actually possible to reattach the motor after rewiring the gun? I swear it's fucking impossibe. There only seems to be enough space for the wires to both go around the back of the motor, but the positive wire can't go there, it's just not possible. So fucking pissed right now I can't even describe it in words.

Has anyone read up on Armoured Kill? http://blogs.battlefield.com/2012/08/tank-...rity-game-mode/ It sounds pretty god damn immense. My only worry, and it's a big one, is that it makes almost all of the tank unlocks completely useless apart from guided shells and IR smoke. I think I usually run tanks with reactive armour, zoom optics and the HMG for infantry. For armoured kill I'm going to have to swap my armour for smoke and my gun for missiles. And I really hate using the missiles. At least I can keep the zoom though, I imagine that's something that'll come in handy. I wonder what tanks they're going to add to be classed as the "Tank destroyers" 'cos it says they're more mobile than tanks, have lighter armour, but the same firepower and all that springs to my mind that fits that description is a Stryker with a tank gun on it. I thought they were adding mobile artillery. I think that'd be much better. The arty could sit back and blast the enemy tanks, whilst the enemy arty would sit back and blast the friendly tanks. Both teams tanks would be trying to capture the objective, whilst simultaneously trying to flank around to destroy the opposing team's artillery to make the task of capping the point easier. I ought to be a DICE employee with that idea. Also, where are the jets at? The Frogfoot and Warthogs would make this expansion much better and if there's only about 16 tanks per map, even on console there's going to be people wanting to do other stuff, 'cos what good is a gunner going to be when everyone's in tanks? Since being on foot would be suicide, there needs to be some jets knocking about, maybe even a couple of attack choppers per map. Then there'll be 8 v 8 tanks, 2 choppers and 2 jets, and all 12 vehicles are capable of destroying the other 12 vehicles. Doesn't leave room for any second seat positions on console though. It might be a bit of a balancing act.

Well the rubber ought to at least fit everything from a Mk VI to a Mk VII in any size, so I'll just have to wait and see. To be fair, I need the Mk VII for the loadout to be authentic anyway, so if it doesn't fit I'll just buy a MK VII in medium and then I'll be sorted. ... Well, my helmet will be sorted. Might have to wait until payday though... -

Also just ordered a helmet rubber for when I get the MTP cover for it off Ian. I hope a medium cover will fit over a large helmet... Is there a lot of difference in size of the outside? I thought it might just be the head fitting part that changed size.
