Handgun primary, does anybody do it?
heroshark replied to Wavey_Gravey's topic in General Discussion
Yep have done a long time. As said mk23 is very effective with the right mods. Running at 350 or as dmr/DMP if sites allow. It makes little difference. Have a mk23 carbine I never use as I prefer the maneuverability . I always carry my hk45 and uspc too. Gbb is Much better for close work. I often like to take out my more fancy bits in cqb like Tanakas and marushin . Nothing as satisfying as capping someone with an 8mm cop or derringer. Or turning a tight corner with an m29 and the poor soul is nose to barrel with his gun down. I didn't shoot him, I'm nice like that. My typical cqb tactical dungeree load out. -
If you are trying to run it on green gas magazines I hear it's not great. It's better tuned to running co2.

Can imagine the mags won't be cheap either.

You got one 😁

If you have to ask it may already be too late 😜

Nobody has anything good to say about the Smc9. In fact owning one makes you sub human. Get rid of it quickly. Even if you cannot find someone stupid enough to take it off your hands just burn it and bury as far away from you as possible before it turns you into a potato 🥔.

Optic Height - Where does your preference sit?
heroshark replied to alxndrhll's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I like to mount mine on the shelf with all the other things I bought that I don't use. -
I got a dodgy mk23 barrel (right hooking shots) off them once. I ended up having to ring them. Spoke to me like I was the issue. You literally can't put a mk23 barrel in wrong an shot straight again when returning to the original barrel which I did a couple of times to be sure. Had to push a little to return, and have the post plus the post it cost me to return as I wasn't gonna be £5 out of pocket for them sending me a flawed barrel. Even then had to poke them for my refund after they had received it. It wasn't great but I got my money back eventually.

As far as where to play it's all about the players on the day. I'm not far from you and there's plenty of good sites in our radius. Bad player's can put a downer on a day even at the best run site. You just need to inform Marshalls and if they have repeat complaints about certain individuals (provided you can identify them "the guy in camo with the gun" is too vague) they will keep an eye on it. Unfortunately they can't be everywhere though and nothing will be done if it's not seen. Also more often than not people think they have hit you and not. Equally you and the people you hit may not feel a hit. You can even shoot, think they have reacted to the impact when it wasn't that at all. Sometimes you get quite hard ricochets and it's not clear if it's a direct hit. I still get it wrong and I've been playing 22 years. Just be gracious and polite to other players, even if you don't see eye to eye. If you are truly in doubt tell the Marshalls and let them do their job. Oh and don't be a moany little bitch about getting shot when you are dead. Usually it's your own fault or an honest mistake by the shooter, just keep your hand up and keep calling dead man. Only thing it's a gas hungry gun. You are better making use of the gas going through it than letting the excess out the barrel.

Nozzle restrictor or tweak the rocket valve spring.

Current ones I'm getting. https://www.instagram.com/p/CRcUwXVoe7Y/?utm_medium=copy_link Can also mount lower masks on these if wanted.

Yep I usually keep a small stock of over glasses frames. Don't have them on the site as I can't always get the same frames so it's a pm to order job.

And as far as ngrs, I hate to say it as it's the only AEG I own but it's boring, I mainly just run my gbbps and mk23 nbb as my long range gun. The mk23 is pretty sterile too but deadly efficient and I prefer to run light. All that said the ngrs is reliable and I prefer it to running any normal AEG. There are other AEG Training weapons out there but you hear mixed things. Das is probably the ultimate but a friend of mine spent a fortune on his and had no end of issues. Then again he is one of those cursed people.

As far as gbbps go you can't go wrong with the newer gen 15mm bbu TM models.

I'd put up a wanted ad for a plastic slide. Get it working , shift it on and invest in the gen4. They are that much better as a platform.

Yeah. It doesn't smell great and nobody wants to stand too close to you. But it makes my stuff easy to identify and discourages anyone from wanting to steal anything.

I usually have fun. Great to meet old friends and make new ones. The past couple I've just worked rather than game though. Unfortunately can't make it this year.

It's common to most open skirmish sites and big games to some degree. I find small more personable games are often better like forum gatherings and the more niche games people organise. I haven't been to one yet but I'm booked in for the next western game at fireball for that very reason.

Best bet is keep an eye on US ebay . You'll probably need a friend in the US to send to who can forward it to you if one comes up. Otherwise the dead cert would be japan auctions and use a proxy buyer but its not cheap.

Kwc are not great for spares. I didn't know they currently did a Glock. Looks remarkably similar to the aps ones an would not surprise me if they are.
