Hello mate, I had a great experience with them early this year. I ordered a warhead black motor from E6 for a custom build- nearly 6 months later the tech I sent it too said it was the wrong one and I needed a short shaft instead. I thought I would be pushing my luck even thinking about asking for an exchange, but thought I would try so I emailed the bloke at E6 - he emailed back in an hour, no problem - send old one back and I will send the short one. Can't ask for any better than that. Cheers

Story of my life mate! 🤣 Yes, you have a fair observation. That said, it could also be argued that TM are the innovators and continue to do so and do very well internationally regardless because of that. I also think that, just say hypothetically the choice arose, some people may rather be stuck with one really good pioneering brand (like TM) than a thousand others that tend to imitate TM anyway. Cheers.

Hi Cannon, Yes as far as I know. I had a great TM AK old school recoil. It was just brilliant and lobbed 50+ stock with excellent accuracy. I love that solid attitude too from TM. They know what they are doing and they know that it is good. It sort of aligns with many a great philosophers outlook - a bit like Steinbeck who emphasised the importance of forgetting the generalised audience and catering to a single person instead. Write for ourselves and the rest will follow (paraphrasing!). Sadly not good for poor wallet though! 🤣

Ah interesting thanks. It is a shame, but nothing we can do about it I suppose. I still think nearly £400 for a last gen AKS74U is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I am a big TM fan. TM can afford to do that though, people will still buy it, but it may just siphon people into other brands a bit more.

Hello, That is a bit strange isn't it. When you take the battery off and refit it - does the first shot still fire ok? It seems that after the first one, the second and third die off. The first thing I thought when watching the second vid is that there isn't enough power to turn the motor, but odd that both batteries are resulting in the same, which makes me think it might be the RIF. I did have something similar on a TM I had. It turns out I was pulling the trigger too quickly! What happens when you single shot it 1 round every 2 seconds? Sorry I might not be helping at all here! 😂 Cheers

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
ruskitseller replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Here is sort of what I just bought - came back on Saturday, but the tech has been working on it since Jan 29th. Before that it was cerakoted in FDE. It also doesn't actually work despite being upgraded heavily and got smashed up a bit by courier. A wire pops out on the mosfet, the stock catch is broken and there are scratches on the cerakote paintwork - but it looks cool and that is all that matters in airsoft haha! -
Hello, Hmmm its a tricky one, I have had a JG that didn't take certain TM parts, well it would with a bit of tomfoolery. If I could find a cheap JG then if it were me, I would certainly be inclined to try and just sell on the JG if not. It may also be worth contacting Fire Support, but find out the exact part number first as he will ask for it - he can get parts from TM sometimes and has given me quotes before. The part number can be found on TM's website in the relevant virtual manual, or in the manual that came with it if you still have it. Cheers

Hello! Yes of course mate, its his job and no different to any brand who pushes his wares really and aim to present a customer interactive service - but that pinch of salt applies to all in my book, but no harm in you reminding consumers of that as it is easily a thought we push to the back of our minds when we get 'brand fever'. Airsoft is mostly about the psycho-social model of conspicuous consumption. Maybe because its a new brand, the customer service is very accessible and maybe this will change if they get bigger of course. I haven't ventured into the gas realm full stop - too pricey for me. I am content with the AEG's (alas I have known TM's/GHK's etc. that have had double feeding issues...)and for the money, well pro are doing very well in that department in terms of being in the budget realm. I have just got back a PP19 AEG from a tech retailer...sadly it isn't working now, before the tech work it was great haha! Cheers.
-
Ah that is a shame, that said - I would probably bet some money that if you were to message them about this, they would take on that feedback and probably do something about it if a few had that same issue. Their FB group and admin is very active and responds directly to messages. Cheers!

Hello Mark! Yes mate I think you are right. I have emailed the retailer, email response time from them varies but will see what they say. Although, I believe PF make it pretty much impossible to claim for RIFS? They also sent it PF 24 although...that's another story. First, they tried delivery and no one was in, fair enough they take it to a post office...the post office that is 20 minutes away, rather than the one that is 2 minutes away. Ok fine, but when picking it up - sorry no can doosy. The PO refused to release it saying that the name on the parcel was wrong, even though I had the slip. Ok will email PF, which I did and after countless daft responses (in one of them they said the name wasn't wrong but the address was!) I got nowhere really and arranged for a re delivery on a Monday when the wife would be home. Instead they try delivering it on the Tuesday when no one is in. Retailer said they have no control over redelivery, but I rearrange it again for Saturday, which they did, but delivered it with the box in two and damage to the RIF...too much time in transit I think. I have emailed the retailer since with questions and pictures and the video so will see what happens... Cheers
-
Thank you mate, the question is I suppose I need to ask the retailer/tech - how did that happen? The tech had the RIF for months - more than 5, got it going - then emailed me to say it jammed up on testing so he had to take it apart again. A month or so again later and it comes back like this. Maybe that happened in transit? I think Parcel force chucked the box about as this is what it looked like and there are impact marks to the RIF itself and the stock catch is bent and moving so the stock can no longer be properly secured. When it arrived, the parcel was bending and I actually thought the RIF had snapped. Luckily it wasn't that bad, but still not great... This has also resulted in the cerakote finish being marked so PF must have dropped it hard. Shame because I have never had an issue with PF before. Also, one of the wires connecting the mosfet pops out occasionally. Then there is no green light until I put it back in. It is a new warhead brushless motor too. Very strange! Thanks again

Hello chaps, after months, I have my gat back from the airsoft tech. It arrived in poor condition and the box was pretty much ripped in half. It seems to not be working anyway and it does this: Any ideas or does it have to go back? I have tried different batteries and it doesn't change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXvw74tS9Cc Thanks in advance!

Hmmm what do we make of the absence of a reply!🤣 But I have seen some positive feedback on them, specifically from Jaegar Precision. Also, as a Well Pro owner, the customer service is top notch if you do need to contact them.

The Picard facepalm one goes down well on the Star Citizen forum! 🙃 I wonder what the upside down face one means... This one sort of looks like a puking one!🤑

This looks great! The video is really well done. -
Ah that's a shame. I suppose all good things must come to an end. Arnies was a classic back int' day! Oh well, long live airsoft forums UK

Open to reasonable offers. Hi lads. This is for the SMG wielding sling connoisseur who wants the very best from a sling. This was developed by Delta Force operator Larry Vickers - specifically for SMG's. It is easily adjustable with a pull of the strap. It can also go from being a 2 point to a 1 point. You will not find this variant in the UK and find it just as hard to get one sent here from the US. It is unused and was imported (which was very hard to do and I do not recommend the experience) from the USA and no longer required as my MP5k project literally fell apart lol. This is an investment and one that is worth it if you want what is best for your gat in that of a proper sling that is extremely tough and easily adjustable. You can read more about this sling on their website here. And there is a review here. The price takes into consideration what I paid to get it here which was £130. You are saving a fair amount. Payment by paypal goods and services. Price includes postage and paypal fee. Sorry - not interested in trades. Please check out my other items for sale by scrolling to the bottom of this page. Please also feel free to message me with any questions, but best to message me directly via PM as I do not receive notifications for questions asked on the advert. Thanks for looking.£88

Specna Prime - What are they like ?
ruskitseller replied to MarvinJenkins's topic in General Discussion
I haven't used one, but read up on them and considered one. Specna seem to me to be like the new Cyma on the block. Reliable and good value for money. The Prime series is their top of the line collection. From the vid, it sounds good too. -
Yeah some really good points. It sort of makes me think I take it all for granted a bit. I just turn up nowadays and expect it all to be nipped, but I always make an extra effort to not piss staff off (yapping in briefings even though we have all heard them a million times is a bit of a pet peeve of mine) lol. I have ran some big games in the past and booked out sites for exclusive use, that was hard enough. By the sounds of it I think one thing that we can all agree that makes a "good" site is: Staff/Management - who operate a tight ship. No favouritism among the regulars is a key operational show of excellence to me, as well as a firm and fair way of managing fair play (aka hit taking) - at Spartan, the staff carry rifs and will test you. Tackle is quite right, you can have the coolest site ever like Longmoor which is used by MOD still for FIBUA - but if you get some not so great staff, then that can ruin the day no matter where you play. And yeah Galvaton, again I think you hit nail on head. I think I know why Spartan does a pay to book only now! 😁 My philosophy is that we play the game for the enjoyment of others, in that - taking hits is about ensuring your fellow player has a decent day, this is of course philosophised in perhaps the naïve sense that others will agree with this lol. I am sure I am not the only one who has seen a patch in the woods somewhere and thought "hmmm maybe I should start an airsoft business"...I can barely run a bath these days! 🤣
-
Yes possibly. I suppose we should have started off by setting some universal definitions as in: What constitutes a "crap" site? What constitutes a "good" site? There seems to be a lot of factors in determining this. Is a cheap to run site defacto crap, or are they doing something right elsewhere on a shoe string budget...and of course vice versa I wonder if they do a "site of the year award" somewhere. 🤔
-
Hi mate, I remember UCAP Sandpit shutting down to be built on and I was gutted. But to me its mostly just a matter of business metrics as in - surely only the ones that continue to draw in good crowds and provide consistency (as much as is possible within airsofting) tend to stick around? (Outside of things beyond control e.g the landlords turfing out I suppose) I think there are a lot of decent sites that have stood the test of time (Skirmish Exeter and Warminster Airsoft are some good examples) because people will simply keep on returning, but also there will be other factors such as just bad luck and going on a day where all planning goes to s*** and where you will experience non hit takers etc. and forever brand the site as rubbish. Outside of repeat custom I suppose the rest is very subjective as to what constitutes a "good" site. Cheers

General feedback on scammers, extra categories and revenue
ruskitseller replied to ruskitseller's topic in Forum Feedback
The photo rule has been working a treat so far and is a great addition. I have not received any dodgy scam messages since. Now we seem to have voucher pushers using the small hours of the morning to try and post bizarre and extremely boring long messages in German about Basil Fawlty or something! (My German isn't what it used to be haha!!) 🤣 -
A very warm welcome to the old git club. I am a younger old git who enjoys the highs and lows of cutting about in ridiculous amounts of kit and taking things like comms with an frustratingly serious dedication at times haha! But..."at the end of the day" the hobby is just a bit of fun and in no way to be taken too seriously. My advice (for what it's worth which is normally approximately zero) is to start as you mean to go on in terms of site etiquette; it is better to over call your hits than under call them out of the uncertainty of being hit. You can never go wrong if you do that, apart from frustrating team mates who may say "that didn't even hit you (expletive)!" lol. Oh well, I'll be back in a minute...(in my head as "dead men can't talk"...) 🤣 Cheers
