Thanks mate.

For the real steel, pistol sleeves or slip on grips are available from Hogue, Pachmayr etc. as you will know. And there are Pachmayr style ones on the market for airsoft pistols. https://www.amazon.co.uk/FOCUHUNTER-Tactical-Anti-slip-Handguns-Accessories/dp/B08BL4HFVS/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B08BL4HFVS&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/FOCUHUNTER-Anti-slip-Handguns-Accessories-Generation/dp/B07TMDJ8PR/ref=pd_bxgy_img_1/259-2630349-6970737?pd_rd_w=dlLmU&pf_rd_p=c7ea61ca-7168-47e3-9c8b-d84748f5b23c&pf_rd_r=MDREY19VBAH1M000B9D9&pd_rd_ However they all seem to specify that they are for Glocks. Does anybody know if they will also fit other guns. The Glock has a wide double stack grip, so I was hoping they might also fit other double stackers like the Sig P 226. If not I will just have to use bicycle inner tube.

I have had several WE Glocks and none of them have had that degree of rattle. In fact they have hardly rattled at all.

KJW, allegedly. And that is probably it, unless you want to go for custom parts eg. Guarder etc.

KJW/ASG CZ75 vs Guarder custom KJW CZ75
emilianoksa replied to emilianoksa's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Thanks again. -
I've heard it said that other manufacturers use pot metal with a higher aluminium content than WE. How would they know this?. Many Americans seem to think that KJW use better alloys than WE and are generally better products. I have seen no evidence of that. In my view KJW and WE are pretty much the same. WE has made some pistols that are horrors, it is true. But then WE makes far more models than KJW and some of its pistols are pretty good for the price. Is there any reason to think that VFC and KWA whose products are substantially more expensive, use better pot metal than the others?

KJW/ASG CZ75 vs Guarder custom KJW CZ75
emilianoksa replied to emilianoksa's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Thanks for letting me know. I know KJW guns have even worse coatings than many other airsoft pistols. But finish apart, how is the general build quality ,how well does it function, hold gas, etc., if you don't mind me asking? -
I'm referring to the original all metal CZ75 the original of which was first produced in 1975, not the SP01,09 Duty or Shadow variants. This one: ASG https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/asg-kjw-cz75-gbb-pistol Guarder https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/guarder-kj-kp-09-cz75-custom-version As you can see there is an enormous difference in price. Bit of a long shot, since the Guarder version is not widely available, but does anybody know how different it is from the stock ASG version? I know the Guarder has better, more realistic engravings on the slide, but is that all? Or does the Guarder have its own aluminium slide and outer barrel?
-
Absolutely. It will probably be worth the money, but only if it works reliably. We won't know that until owners have been using it for 12 months at least.
-
Anybody know what their Beretta 92 is like? Like the KJW It doesn't seem to have a functioning de-cocker, although the G&G version and WE M9A1 both do. Have G&G made a more successful entry into the gbb pistol market than ICS?
-
Sadly a pot metal receiver on an AK doesn't do it for me. Even the higher end Cyma aeg AKs have stamped steel receivers these days. And I believe the WE AK gbbrs do too. Being a TM I imagine the performance will be top notch though.

I go out of my way to avoid buying anything that carries the Nuprol label. I will not buy LCT products again either.

I was looking through the web page of one of the UK's top retailers. The number of guns and magazines that are sold out was striking. And it has been that way for months. So I tried another top retailer and it was the same story. And another. And so on. Of course I know the reason for this, but it got me thinking. Will they ever be able to restock? Will they even be able to continue trading if this lack of product continues. I know most airsoft stuff is produced in China, but there appear to be serious shortages of stuff from Taiwan too.

Thanks for posting that. As you say it seems like an older design. The parts diagram at this site at the bottom of the page when you scroll down, shows the KJWorks version follows the real steal arrangement. Part 61 is the part I was referring to. There appears to be no equivalent on either the WE or TM parts diagrams. The screw and strut are shown but not the housing the screw goes into. https://www.greekairsoft.gr/manuals/manual.asp?Manufacturer=KJWORKS&Filename=KJW+P226+KP01+Manual.pdf

Thanks for the reply. I am referring to the airsoft variety which I imagined mimics the real steal. However, looking at this WE F series parts diagram I cannot see how the hammer spring is held captive. There should be a piece that fits into the bottom of the grip frame to locate the spring, but it doesn't show in this one from WE. https://www.kyairsoft.com/parts/we-pistols-gbbp/f-series-mk-25-p226/f226-s-56-gbbp.html However in the real steel the part I am talking about is number 36 in the diagram below. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/sig-sauer/auto-pistols-sig/226-sig/parts-list-p226 The enhanced grip also has a spring base but it is smaller. This Guarder enhanced grip is shown with the smaller part needed to change from normal to enhanced. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/guarder-e2-enhanced-grip-for-marui--kj--we-p226-black Sorry if it isn't clear but I have found it very difficult to get better parts diagrams.

I've tried getting answers to this on several forums , including this one in the quick answers for quick questions section , but without success. Even Reddit Airsoft which normally moves pretty quickly has failed to get me even one response. So I decided to come back here and give it one last try. Can the E2 grips on an airsoft Sig P226 be replaced by the original E1 grips. The E1 hammer spring base is pretty substantial, too big for the E2 grips to clear it. But the E2 hammer spring base is much smaller and the E1 grips are bigger. So am I right in thinking that the E1 grips are a straight fit to a gun purchased with an E2 grip? Or can the E1 grips only be attached if there is an E1 hammer spring base behind the grip frame? Most people prefer the E2 grips but I am an exception. I bought a Sig with E2 grips and now wish I had bought one with the original E1 grips. is there anything I can do about it, other than sell the E2 and buy an E1 gun?
-
Are the lower frames for the E2 and E1 versions of the Sig P226 identical ie. are the grips interchangeable? I imagine they are not interchangeable but just wanted to check.
-
Do you think the pot metal in TM rifles is any better in quality and sturdiness than that used in Chinese and Taiwanese guns? Or is all airsoft pot metal crap?
-
Is it an aeg or one of the new Lonex gbbrs?
-
I would buy a WE Glock over a VFC any day. In fact I did.

WE gbbrs at great prices from Taiwan Gun Co. Scar L for about £226 G36c for only £146 Sometimes I wish we were still in the EU. But then sanity quickly returns.

My WE G34 in tan with magwell and thumb rest. My last and favourite rifle: an LCT LCK 106. Neither of these guns has ever been skirmished.

Thanks for all the replies. My position remains as follows: I am unable to skirmish again, so I no longer need my guns. They are simply taking up space. However I am not desperate for money. I am losing a lot just by selling as new items at a fraction of their cost. I would like to recoup some of the money to use on other things, but I am prepared to hang on to my guns if necessary. I have no way of knowing that a person without a current UKARA is a skirmisher. I know hardly anybody in the airsoft community. People can say anything on the phone. For all I know a caller wants to buy my stuff because it is cheap and sell it on to somebody else. Call me timid by all means but I am not prepared to be a test case. People have had their lives ruined because of ill thought out laws in our stupidly governed country. My prices are very good. My condition of sale is clear.
