  1. I'll have a look when I get back home and check for the notch. Is the Loctite 243 variant OK for the front sight job? https://www.bearing-king.co.uk/bearing/loctite-243-medium-strength-oil-tolerant-10ml/5721?gclid=Cj0KCQjwvqeUBhCBARIsAOdt45bC5PmAQKY-h8IDLaSNKm1iw3fnV5sxrzP8TRflCH2xD6NTjCSPXdUaAnKwEALw_wcB
  2. Thanks again Jim. I know it is a bit fiddly, but is it any more fiddly than normal full disassembly and reassembly of the TM Glock? Is putting the TM parts into a Guarder frame more difficult than putting them back into a TM frame.
  3. Thanks for the reply. I am surprised that a thread locker would have the strength to hold the sight. I thought Loctite thread lockers were designed only for screws.
  4. I've had a couple of Airsoft Masterpiece slides for my hi capas. Hi capa front sights are a friction fit and the TM front sights were a tight fit on both of them, and required quite a lot of tapping with a brass hammer. However my latest slide from AM is a loose fit and I am not sure whether to glue it or shim it. If I decided to glue it, which product would you recommend? Would an epoxy glue hold it for long given the blowback? If I were to shim it, how would you advise me to do it? And with what material?
  5. That bad eh? I just don't like the idea of filing down a TM bbu to get it into the Guarder slide. I don't mind the plastic TM slide, but I think Marui Glock frames look cheap. Doesn't take them long to get shiny. I was just wondering if parts also had to be filed down to fit the Guarder frame. What about the WE frame? Anything would be better than the ABS Marui uses. I am not generally into filing pot metal down, although I do take a file to outer barrels on WE Glocks to reduce the chances of them snapping and exiting the frame.
  6. I know fitting a Guarder slide to a TM Glock can be a pain in the arse. But what if I wanted to keep the TM plastic slide and replace the TM frame with a Guarder one? Is it as hard to fit Marui internals to a Guarder frame as it is to fit them to a slide? Or is it more of a straight fit?
  7. Thanks Jim, but I mistakenly left out the important part. I know the ARs are ceratkoted. Is the AKM gbb also cerakoted?
  8. Is the pot metal of the receiver on the TM gbbr cerakoted?
  9. Very nice. What make is it? And is that its original finish?

Aluminium 5KU item made in same factory as Airsoft Surgeon, so it is of decent quality. Purchased recently from Hi Capa Hub. Comes with the pin to attach it. Low profile magwell with lanyard loop at the back. I subsequently decided to put Guarder tactical grips on my hi capas so I have no use for it. Test fitted to the TM grip and immediately removed. In the picture of three magwells it is the matt black one in the middle. The ones on the left and right are being sold separately. Never skirmished, no marks. £12 posted.

  13. Thanks to you both for the advice.
  14. I referred the UKARA number - of a member of this forum who wants to buy a rif from me - to a retailer. I received a reply telling me that this UKARA number is valid until Sept of this year. However I was also told that the site the buyer plays at needs to renew proof that it has valid insurance with UKARA. I was told they do this by sending a copy of their insurance....... But the email doesn't tell me who to send the copy to. It is too late for me to email the retailer again for clarification until Monday, and the seller is waiting to finalise the deal. I imagine the copy has to be sent to some official site, and not to me, but this is the first time I have encountered such a message, and I am not sure what to do. Would anybody care to advise me or comment?
  15. Thanks for the reply. Are there deep engraving services available for pot metal airsoft guns, or is etching a better alternative?
  16. If I wanted to have trades put on a pistol and also have it cerakoted, which job should be done first? Or does it not matter?
  17. Which makes of airsoft Sig will these grips fit? TM, KJW or WE? Or all three?

Lovely gun, but I have two hi capa, and since I no longer skirmish, I have decided to let one go. Comes with original box and all its contents which I have never used. This gun has never been skirmished. It hasn't even been outside and has only been test fired. I have advertised it as "used" simply because it has been test fired. Many would have classed it as "as new" since it has probably had less than a hundred bbs through it and does not looked used at all. You can tell by the state of the magazine. There are only two marks on it that I can see - slight marking on the outer barrel which is unavoidable even with a non tilting barrel, and a small mark on the bottom of the slide, invisible unless the slide is disassembled. Both marks are shown in the picture. I bought it brand new stock, test fired it and then sent it to Mike Cripps at the Elite Shooting Centre. He removed some of the original parts and replaced them with the parts listed below and what I paid for them: The gun is now available with the following custom parts: Gunsmith Bros STI DVC 3 GUN slide in BLACK. Elite aluminium 5.1 non tilting outer barrel threaded for silencer or tracer unit in SILVER Two piece stainless steel recoil spring guide by Gunsmith Bros Choice of full or slimline black magwells from Airsoft Masterpiece and Airsoft Surgeon - the slim line magwells have a lanyard hole Elite Custom 6.02 mm uprated inner barrel AIP uprated loading nozzle AIP 120% uprated recoil spring Uprated Cow Cow Technology hop rubber Choice of metal triggers from Airsoft Masterpiece and A Depot Metal hammer protection pad I then purchased and fitted a Guarder Tanio Koba tactical grip to the gun. This comes with its own trigger unit, magazine lock and hammer spring unit. So it is in superb condition, cost me over three hundred and fifty pounds at old prices. I am asking the same sort of price you might expect to pay for a top of the range Armorer's Works gun, which is not of the same quality. You can have either the original grip with custom parts, or a choice of two Cow Cow black sculptor grips with black or silver trigger, rubber grip tape which I cut myself, and the sand paper grip tape from Cow Cow or the Guarder grip which I used as a template. The replaced TM parts with the exception of the grips and their internals have now been sold. £200 posted. Magazine will be posted separately to be absolutely sure the gun cannot be confiscated by the post office. I don't normally do this for pistols, but for this one, it is worth it. Sorry I forgot to post pictures of the mag.. Will add one later. It has only been inserted in the gun a couple of times and is in excellent condition. UKARA required

  19. I was just about to renew an advert that expired a while ago, when I came across a reference to a renewal fee of £2. There was also a reference to free renewal. Could somebody kindly explain what this means. I always assumed adverts on the Sales Section were for private sales only. Is the service also available for commercial advertisers?
  20. Just to let you all know, it did arrive and the next day at that.
  21. Just surprised you managed to get what looks like a back strap on a TM G19 Gen 3. Or are my eyes deceiving me?
  22. Is that the TM Glock19 or the Umarex/VFC one? If you don't mind me asking.
