My hi capas have never been skirmished. I only use them in the garden very occasionally. This is reflected in the conditon of the mags, which are pretty much clean on the front and sides, with the only wear occuring on the back where they make contact with the trigger bow on insertion. I am only selling them because I switched to Guarder tactical grips for my guns, and I want to replace them with 4.3 mags to keep that tactical look. They have spent most of their life in storage and have never leaked or malfunctioned. £50 collected. Plus £5 if posted.£50

Thanks lads. I've checked the TM page and mine is OK.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I have recently had cataract surgery and my sight has not been up to using the computer. Did Tokyo Marui ever get round to sorting the problem with their Gen 4 Glock 17s and 19s. Hope so, as I purchased one of their Glock 17 gen4s new from a retailer just a couple of weeks ago. Seems ok so far though I have only test fired it. Did the gen3 Glock 19 suffer from the same problem as the Gen4 19G?

I want to change the aluminium trigger, non drop outer barrel and guide rod plug on my TM hi capa from silver to black. Would anodising work out cheaper than cerakote, or would I be better off selling the parts and buying black ones. I've also thought about painting, but I can't be bothered with the hassle, and I think the parts deserve a better surface treatment.

Can anyone tell me if the difference between the Gen3 and Gen4 models of the TM Glock 19 are cosmetic only re. grips and mag release? Or are there some internal differences? Is the Gen4 superior to the Gen3?

I went through a period of adding Glocks to my collection. I never skirmished any of them, and some were only ever test fired. This is a test fired gun only and looks like new. But since I have test fired it it is technically used. I wanted an olive drab factory frame and these were only available from KY Airsoft in Hong Kong. So I imported one. I mention this to make clear that the frame on this is not a DIY paint job. The only thing I ever did to my WE Glocks was the outer barrel modification I learned from the Americans. The WE outer barrels are prone to breaking over time. Replacement barrels are cheap enough, but the modification should extend the life of the barrel. This modification consists in increasing the slot slightly to make it easier for the barrel to drop. Picture included. Comes with one unmolested leak free magazine that looks like new. £70 collected. Add £10 for postage. If interested, please supply me with your full name, post code and UKARA number.£70

I know most things are made in China now, but the TM components will be made to more rigorous TM quality standards and assembled as you say in Japan. I agree that TM pistols are overpriced in the West but that is simply because Marui does not export its products. All their guns come to Europe and the USA through middle men. As for the plastic, I know it is only ABS, but most people say it is very good quality ABS whereas some of the pot metal used in other brand pistols is very poor quality. How can you expect to get a high quality full metal pistol for not a lot more than a hundred quid? Apart from my two hi capas, I leave TM pistols unmodified. I only shoot my pistols at home, and so plastic and low powered gas if fine for me.

Lovely gun which I paid £135 for and have never used. I haven't even adjusted the hop. It has only been test fired, which is obvious from the state of the barrel breech block which shows only a hint of wear. Looks good, shoots well. Comes with one mag and a case. I had intended to run it on a plastic slide during the winter, and actually bought a plastic slide, which is included in the sale and which I never used. Bear in mind that to use this slide you will need a metal insert. I had intended to get one from KJW or simply make one but never got round to it. I know I will regret selling it, but I am gradually reducing the number of my pistols which, these days exist more for decoration than anything else. Aiming to get down to a couple of plastic TMs for garden gunning. £70 collected. Add £10 for postage. If interested, please supply me with your full name, post code and UKARA number.£70

Thanks for the reply. For me, TM pistols are best left alone. I am not interested in sourcing metal slides for them. They were designed for optimal performance with plastic slides and low powered gas, and as such, they work better than most metal pistols will ever do. Yes, metal slides feel more realistic, but Marui at least manage to produce plastic slides that look very good. I would rather have Japanese quality over Chinese realism.

I know the E2 version is supposed to be better but I have always preferred the old stule grips. I know it is an old model but it was popular in its day. I'm not really bothered about larger blow back units, and I am not expecting the performance of say an FXNX45 or a HK USP, but I just wondered if it still perfectly usable. I don't know if the slide is reinforced were it contacts the slide stop on the frame. That is the one thing that I would find unacceptable.

Thanks for all the replies. No love for the WE Sigs, I assume.
-
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have considered the V10 but was put off a bit by the low gas capacity. I am leaning more to the HK USP Compact at the moment. I know the Glock 19 is a more recent gun than the HK but is really that much better?
-
I like the look of VFC pistols but have always avoided buying them, because of the problems they run into and the lack of parts support, although the HK45 CT might one day tempt me. I never skirmish my pistols and only use them at home occasionally, so maybe I am wrong to discount them. How quickly can they go wrong? I generally buy only TM or WE. Yes, WE are poor on quality control but they have good parts backup and can be fixed. And if you are more of a collector of pistols, like me, it's sometimes nice to have something more realistic than a plastic TM. I do like Maruis though and have several. Since I am looking for a compact (as opposed to sub-compact) pistol the guns that have interested me are: TM Glock 19 TM HK USP Compact WE Glock 19 - generally solid WE XDM40 3.8 which gets better reviews than the full sized one WE Sig P228 but it is all metal and I have come to prefer the feel of polymer frames WE Sig F18 I imagine I will go for a TM in the end, for peace of mind, but just wondered what others would think.

A little help required with my Guarder Glock frame
emilianoksa replied to emilianoksa's topic in Gas Guns
I assume those extra couple of millimeters on the baseplate prevent the mag from going in far enough to click. in place. Of course Guarder frames will vary slightly in dimensions as all mass produced things do, and just because I had this problem it doesn't mean that others will too. -
A little help required with my Guarder Glock frame
emilianoksa replied to emilianoksa's topic in Gas Guns
Just an update for anyone who is interested or runs into the same problem I had. The Spring under the front chassis just needed stretching a bit, as Rocketdogbert suggested. As for the magazine issue, the TM Glock mags have a slightly thicker baseplate than the WE ones - only a couple of millimetres different but enough to make a difference on a Guarder frame. If I replace a TM baseplate on the TM mag with a WE baseplate , it works fine. Of course an alternative would be to sand down the TM baseplate, but the WE ones are cheap enough to pick up. -
Thanks.

Just an update. I have withdrawn the gun from sale and told him that he was too late in giving me his details. According to what he has told me, I have no right to check them anyway. He has said he will give me a negative feedback report, and that he will make an enquiry with the information commissioner to verify that I have "lawfully" - I assume he means unlawfully - obtained access to the UKARA database. I have just checked and he has indeed given me a rotten feedback. He claims he has the transcript that will justify his complaint. So do I.
-
Thanks. They look very nice. I think you are right. At least with Prime and Nova, you are getting peace of mind.
-
Thanks. It is true that somebody could send me a photo of him skirmishing with a rif, but if I had never met him and didn't know what he looked like, how would I know it was him?
-
Thanks for the replies. Yes, come to think of it, he has already given me the information: his name, postcode and UKARA number. I haven't requested personal information - merely asked for verification of it. I think I will withdraw it from sale. I am not so desperate for the money. Thanks again.
-
A would be buyer gave me what he thought was his UKARA number. He seemed to think that it wasn't necessary and the site he played at and was a marshal for, could vouch for him. He also said that I could check his site feedback or Linkedin page. I responded that word of mouth from somebody you don't know meant nothing. And how could I check anything if he hadn't given me his name? I asked him to supply his name and postcode. He sent me a photo of a metal tag with the information. However I had difficulty reading it. In any case I told him that a photo was not necessarily proof of anything. All I wanted him to do was give me his name, postcode and UKARA number. He messaged me 12 times over a period of seven days and only in the last message typed out all three of his details. The UKARA number he originally gave me, which he said he thought he could remember, was close but not the correct one. He later corrected it. So far, so good. When he learned that I intended to check details with a retailer, he told me that anyone providing me with information that an UKARA number had expired would be breaking the law. Apparently it would be a breach of the General Data Protection Regulation. Since he is a former police officer and has also worked as a para legal, I am not sure how to respond. He believes I don't understand the law, and he may be right. Quite frankly the whole business has put me off selling. I have seriously considered just keeping the gun. Would anyone care to comment?

Bought it from Fire Support maybe two months ago on a whim. It was briefly test fired on low powered gas and put on display until today when I took some photos of it. None of my pistols are ever skirmished, and this is no exception. It is absolutely mint. No scratches even on the magazine. It is probably the best made TM pistol I have ever owned. Build quality and function are superb. It is reassuringly weighty feels like it will last forever with sensible treatment. So why am I selling it after never really having used it? As I say, I bought it on a whim. The appearance of the FNX45 has never really appealed to me. I think it has to do with the large curved base plate on the mag. But I had heard such good things about it I decided to get one anyway. I can confirm that it is as good as they say. However I never really fell in love with its looks. Probably just me. I love Glocks so you can tell I probably have no taste at all. Please note that the nozzle on a can of Abbey 144a gas is not long enough to reach the fill valve through the thick base plate. I bought an extension nozzle but it was useless. So I bought some Nuprol 1 in the blue can to give it a test. Many people would simply use green gas in it, but I never do with plastic slides. It certainly seems more robust than other TM pistols I have owned so it would probably last a long time on green gas. Box and all accessories which are included and untouched are in pretty much pristine condition, like the gun and mag. If you would like to buy it, you will need a current UKARA number. £100 collected from the Bolton area, or I will post for an additional £10 No offers please. Many people would ask more than a hundred quid for a gun in this condition.£100

A little help required with my Guarder Glock frame
emilianoksa replied to emilianoksa's topic in Gas Guns
I managed to get it up and running. The only remaining problem is that it won't hold a TM Glock 22 mag. Even if I hold the mag and push it up tight when shooting, it just blows out all the gas. So I have decided to use it with a couple of my WE mags with 144a. I wonder if the original TM Glock 17 gen 3 mags without the metal reinforced mag release would work. However they aren't easy to find these days. Irony is that I can use my TM Glock 22 in my WE Glocks, though as rocketdogbert says, they don't provide the best seal. Might just have to buy another TM Glock and keep it stock. Then I will have two mags for it. Your gun looks great by the way. Love Gen 2 frames. -
A little help required with my Guarder Glock frame
emilianoksa replied to emilianoksa's topic in Gas Guns
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a try. Do you happen to know if a Nine Ball gas router for a TM Glock mag will fit a WE Glock mag. Is it really worth changing the router from WE to TM type for a pistol that will only occasionally be used for plinking in the garden? -
A little help required with my Guarder Glock frame
emilianoksa replied to emilianoksa's topic in Gas Guns
Thanks again. I doubt it would be possible to put the TM serial plate in the Gen 2 frame. It tapers quite a bit. The Gen 2 has always been my favourite Glock and Guarder is the only manufacturer that makes a Gen 2 frame. I'm not keen on pistols with rails for lights. I prefer the cleaner lines of those without, which is a nuisance since so many come with rails these days. I don't skirmish with pistols so I don't really have a need for a rail.
