  1. couple of places have it sub £300 but the price seems to have snuck up everywhere else. still maybe pay £240.00 for a2nd hand one with no extra mags. I sold my 3 month old with 4 mags for £280.00 how i regret it.
  2. i don't have the same budget as you but i went the same route with a base Series 70. the project fallen by the wayside
  3. you could strip and polish 1911A1 controls but for time sake yeah go with the Series 70 Nickel
  4. ok depends which kit OP has as one of them comes with all external controls
  5. might as well get a 1911a1 it's essentially the same gun just cheaper
  6. firstly have you played before do you have an aeg, because if you jump into sniping with no previous game experience you will have a miserable time . secondly please use the forum search function you are not the 1st person to ask this and there are countless posts on this question.
  7. I was swithering on that as well but being a southpaw put me off. I feel it needs an M203
  8. The Thompson drum mags on the market are all around 450 round capacity and are spring driven. so a lot of extra size for not a great increase in capacity. winder is easier to use but could not say if it will keep up with a non stock rate of fire.
  9. my current project. mainly built from plasticard, currently waiting on some parts and building a holster out of ABS.
  10. Other than it's size and relatively heavy trigger pull in terms of functionality the MK23 is best pistol in airsoft full stop. In terms of feeling the FN is better it's much more fun to use.
  11. That was IMBs plan though to make PC the standard that's why the wiped the floor Mac who restricted access to their software. Patents last for years and drug companies spend a fortune defending said patents and finding ways to extend them. infact pretty much every industry works like that. The Airsoft industry is very odd as it is comparatively small with limited profits to fight patent violation and fundemently the guns manufactured are generally a violation of someone's intellectual property. The major player Tokyo Marui (Airsoft isn't even their primary product) is not interested in the international market partly as they would be paying through the nose for licensing or constantly fighting court case so don't go to the trouble of chasing every company that have ripped of their designs and it is pretty much every other airsoft anufacture airsoft.
  12. i do wonder if this has actually hurts Airsoft Who going to shoulder the cost of developing something truly ground breaking when punters do not appreciate the cost and therefore don't see the worth and some other company is just going to rip you off a couple of months after you release your products. In the end airsoft is just toy air guns that must fire a fundamentally un aerodynamic projectile at energy levels that can't be anywhere near lethal in any way whatsoever. There have been many small improvements over the 20 years i have been playing but there just isn't the profit in massive tech advances that people want. Would like all Guns to be GBB powered by internal silent electriatrical micro compressors. It could be done but good god it would be expensive.
  13. getting a dirty mac fine just do not cut the stock on that
  14. unlikely and the airsoft ones are like 80/90 new. so new M249 with rails £350 to £450. Scope Mosfet and mag sub £200 so maybe 650 brand new for everything
  15. £600 for a third hand two tone A&K m249 https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/955-ak-m249-mk2
  16. HPA people need some advice I am wanting to fit a golden eagle AOW into a pulse rifle. I have already stripped the gun down and it will fit. I have found a threaded 12g refillable CO2 bulb to use as a gas tank. So need advice on on what hose, connections I need? I assume I going to need a threaded connector to the shot gun any particular brand to use?
  17. just behind a Pulse Rifle the P90 RD is my favorite looking SMG. The R4 is good for the money.
  18. Classic Army Sports line P90. it was cheapish but not cheap enough to make up for the terrible plastic body( one of the front sight blades snapped off), the range was garbage and the gear box was twangy as hell.
  19. Confession time I have owned a few AEP MP7s and TM gbb( I really regret selling it) and until i read it on a forum i did not know it wasn't 1:1 scale and despite being a very large man never felt the scale was an issue. It maybe important to some but scale gets brought up a lot as a serious issue( if a 6'4 fat man can use it with no comfort issues is it an issue?) when people talk about the TM MP7. honestly how many people have seen let alone held a real steal MP7 and if it wasn't brought up every time the guns mentioned would you have any problems when one was put in your hands?
  20. on performance and build quality the TM is vastly superior.

it's actually worrying the number of cons i have been at in full Colonial Marine armour and multiple people over the age of 18 have asked if my Pulse Rifle and resin VP70 are real.
  22. Just a quick google shows a Chinese clone race gun is going to set you back the better part of £140 to £180 or you can get a hicapa D.O.R for £120 https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/tokyo-marui-gas-blowback-hicapa-dor-dor-pistol-save-16-was-135-now-119 and it will shoot significantly better.
  23. if it's real yes it will, but those appears to be over a grand, if its replica I doubt it.
  24. it will most likely be held at customs and they will contact you for proof of defence.
  25. again that required a change in the law and had overwhelming cross party support. the protection airsofter have at the moment can literally be taken away on a whim of one minister anything has got to be better than that.
