Wanting to by a really good out-of-the box airsoft gun
Tackle replied to Yashy's topic in General Help
As has been asked, is the budget you mentioned for guns alone or do you need to factor in other kit, such as eyepro/boots/vest etc. If it's just for your gun, if I personally was starting out, knowing what I now know from years of playing, I'd consider the new DE range of M4 variants, they look good, & all player reviews so far indicate good performance & features for the price. To that end, you could technically afford TWO, I would definitely recommend getting two, maybe a nice long version, backed up with a compact stubby variant, then you've always got a mag compatible backup, as well as suitable guns for woodland or cqb sites. Edit: i saw your post after typing mine, great minds think alike 👍😉 -

More info needed!!!! What platform are you considering ? Mp5, m14, m4. Ak, G36, & many more, & any of the various derivatives ? -
Lol, told you I knew feck all about them🥴

Don't forget the "4th" (?) variant, the g&g 2010 HUNTER, with the scope shroud covering the top rail, it's the one I've got, but I know feck all about them.

Hard to say, I've seen these priced from £120 to £250, & either hang around for ages or are snapped up almost immediately, their essentially Airsoft marmite lol. Same goes for the serial number, to the right person it'll be worth double the brand new rrp, but your more cynical buyer might just assume it's had a long & potentially hard life, irrespective of the apparent history of it. I know, I'm not helping much, might be an idea to talk to the guy behind "Raresoft" on fb, he's on here too but my minds gone blank to his username, he'll have an idea on how marketable it is ?

Agree with everything said above.......... BUT........ WHY ? Why do you need to upgrade ?, even most of the budget guns are pretty well set up straight outta the box, why potentially waste money for little or no gain, consider what you like the look of, make another post listing your likes & ask people's opinions, & if the stars align, buy the bleeding gun. Then play with it for as long as you can until: A. Something breaks that requires fixing Or B. You are able to positively identify a particular weakness that needs addressing What you quite literally waste on "pre-upgrades" could potentially buy you a second back up gun, a much better investment in my opinion.

To be fair, ALMOST anything will do, even putting a couple of small crocodile clips in a box setup & hanging a newspaper or light magazine up, strong enough to stop & soak the power, but light enough to flex & not allow ricochets. If I was planning to build a catcher/target box, I would consider using commercial carpet tiles, the kind usually found in office environments, very hard wearing & quite stiff but with just enough flex that bb's wouldn't break if they hit edges etc, which is an issue with most commercial box catchers. EDIT : I should add these aren't cheap, far from it so prob not best to Google them 😳lol, but if you or a relative/friend work in an office environment, a friendly chat with the resident building services person should blag half a dozen, most buildings have a basement lockup with stacks of these secondhand for reusing in renovations or partition changes.

DA FUQ ?, stupid prices for what is essentially secondhand & broken. What I don't get is they offer repair & upgrade tech services, why the fudge aren't they correcting these faults themselves ?, yep I know it's a "profit thing" lol, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their tech services. 🤔

Rubber dildo guns: 3rd pic down, some kinda sniper (?) top left corner, can't tell what it is as there's too many bits draped over it. 2nd pic, the mg42 we know about, possibly the mp40 above it & the m3 to the left (top one ?). 🤔

I took cover behind a tree that was considerably skinnier than me, bout 5 players were peppering the tree but not hitting me, I'm pissing myself laughing when a Marshall walks over & confirms "none of you are hitting him", until eventually one of the cross-eyed buggers did 🤣

No idea ? 🤔

Definitely not the norm, but it's collection only so at least someone can check what their getting, I used to live 5 minutes from there, I'd have been on it like a tramp on chips🍟 It's either true & better to get something for it than leave it behind, OR It's dodgy af & he's flogging his flatmates kit before getting the hell out of dodge before his flatmate & his ex get back from holiday lol😏
-
What else do you have ? (I'm not gonna show myself up by looking at the pics & identifying the wrong ones 🤣)

Lost count of the number of times when marshaling a players been reported as not taking their hits, so I've given them an "honesty shot" usually with a pistol from behind in the butt from 40-50ft, & the player rubs where he's been hit but carries on playing.......... Well at least until I whisper in his ear to "go take 10 mins in the safe one & think about whether you want to keep playing today" 😏. No different from what we're discussing here, they make an assumption it's probably friendly fire (or they're not taking ANY hits) & play on....... Wankers🤬
-
Imho, if someone is hit, irrespective of the power of the hit, & they then start to analyse it in their head for the possibility of avoiding taking the hit, they're nothing more than a cheating cnut. No site should be planting the seed in people's heads "if you think it's a ricochet, you go ahead & ignore it" What next, "if your wearing a plate carrier with fake plates fitted & the bb's only hit you in the plates, keep playing cos your feckin invincible".
-
If your not sure, just take it, it's a rare & minor inconvenience, & not worth the aggro when someone is then adamant they hit you. Plus I've been hit directly from low power guns, such as a mates old tm mp7 aep, thing was like a laser, amazing range, but it hit like a feather & very easy to dodge if you see them coming, like slo-mo lol.
