  1. Eh. It's £10 or so cheaper than buying UK retail. If he finds someone who was in the market for it anyway it's not crazy. It just seems optimistic that it'll find its market.
  2. Especially as it's for a leftie. Also up on eBay as an auction with a BIN of £59 including delivery. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blackhawk-Omnivore-Pistol-Holster/113737365870?hash=item1a7b46796e:g:x14AAOSw5P1czhsP I'll be surprised if it gets any bids. If it does, I'll be surprised if the buyer realises that it's a leftie...
  3. God dammit. TaiwanGun have been doing that for a while. A couple of us fired in complaints to PayPal (it's a breach of their contract) but we've been fobbed off. Apparently they're more what you'd call guidelines than actual rules contractual terms. We said that if TaiwanGun got away with it then it would spread to other airsoft retailers. And here we are. I wonder who'll be next. [UPDATE] Oh, it gets better. They don't appear to accept credit card payments any more, so no buyer protection that way. Not at all dubious and ropey.
  4. I'd got the idea that CamoRaids were good guys rather than wanks, so it might be worth asking. Pre-order isn't order, right?
  5. It's so great to see teenage girls getting into airsoft.
  6. Sure, now, but physics might have worked differently in 2015.
  7. My life. My life makes me feel pretty queasy, if we're being honest.
  8. Then you get to mock the people who mocked in vain. Everyone's a whinger winner.
  9. I've threatened to loan him my CYMA CM.123 bloaty-blaster, so he's got plenty of incentive to get the EVO somehow. Urgh, UPS though, the two nearest pick-up points have both knocked back accepting RIF deliveries for me, apparently with no consequence to them for doing so. Oh, my PatrolBase order has apparently shipped this evening and will be delivered by DHL tomorrow (IT COULD HAPPEN!), they just sat on it for 2 days first.
  10. Realistically it seems to be about 3 (feet = yards), which http://www.age-converter.com/horse-age-calculator.html suggests is horse years.
  11. Given that the problem is deceptive adverts rather than disruptive comments, I'm not seeing why advertisers should be able to do that.
  12. I don't find it strange that ordering from an airsoft retailer is a random lottery. To be fair, the last order I did with them showed up pretty quickly, and if they'd actually sent me the same item that they'd advertised, I would have been happy.
  13. Showing them in stock, they were. So trusting, I am. Learn, I never do.
  14. Ordered another couple of G17 mags and cans of gas from PatrolBase on Monday afternoon. Still waiting on dispatch.
  15. Even though I know what that's referencing, it still looks like he's sucking his thumb.
  16. A properly declared £131 airsoft toy should attract both import duty, VAT (on the total cost including postage and import duty) and (depending on courier) a triple-penetration by being charged courier fees for paying that duty for you. If the retailer is mislabelling to avoid it then you're gambling on being lucky enough to have it slip though.
  17. Can you switch it between regular metres and airsoft metres? NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo! Aw, that's awful, you buy an EVO to avoid that sort of tosh. You might try asking Ryan / Silver Fox if he's got any ideas. Worst case, I should have a spare something or other on the 14th.
  18. Good enough for government work. Well, after railing against both SWAT, and buying used, I ignored my own sage advice and gambled on not one but two used SWAT VTGs via PreFired. Winner, winner, fraggy dinner: they arrived as described, literally mint (in the sense of being unused and green), and cost the grand total of £90 for both, delivered. That's me up to 1 tri-shot TRMR and 3 x timed VTGs: as God is my witness, I'll never walk round a corner again without fragging it first.
  19. Isn't that our leaving present to you?
  20. Oh, that's believable. It's the risible comparison with a pot metal (excuse me, "stamped steel") toy gun that's making us chuckle. Cheer up, you've brought some joy to our day.
  21. Meme while you still can.
  22. Thus the suggestion to ask G&G on Facebook what they think it's meant to run on. There's no way that a retailer in $CURRENT_YEAR should be recommending NiMh batteries. That'd be like dealers putting cross-ply tyres on cars to try and fix a handling problem.
