  1. "Hey! No fair catching us breaking your rules!"
  2. ... until it broke. And the usual counter-productive laziness of requiring each interested party to ask for details, rather than just providing them once in the advert. Must be that rare "Nuprol hardcase" pushing up the cost.
  3. I mean, sure, I'd recommend it, but I didn't wait. I also never played with a two tone. What I'd definitely suggest is not dumping high-end money in. Tokyo Marui have that magic dust, but £110 for a JG SD6 is likely to be regret-free. And maybe not as much as it looks, as you'll be getting BBs for the rental money. Granted, probably not the BBs that you'd want... If the rental gun wasn't great, it may just have needed the hop adjusted - this takes a few seconds, and is something you'll need to learn to do on your own guns anyway. Marshals or other players will be happy to advise, and spot the BB trajectory for you. If it was giving you serious trouble, don't hesitate to let the marshals or site runner know - renting should get you a trouble-free experience.
  4. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. There's always a big buzz after day 1, so try not to go too mad. Perfectly solid choice. Jing Gong, CYMA, both work. Put aside any real world assumptions, anything with 200mm+ of barrel length (or even a bit less) will be fine. M4s tend to be a bit more easily fUlLy UpGrAdAbLe, you might want to find a way to secure the hop arm a bit better, but there's nothing hooky about MP5s. Mags are cheap, battery space can be a little limited, but lipos are compact enough that you'll be able to feed it electrons. Have some welcome-to-the-hobby memes!
  5. To be fair, if the only retailer selling them is charging £650, then that's the retail price. I mean, if you don't want to buy one, then you can not buy it from JDAirsoft instead for the bargain non-price of £450.
  6. Classic for-sale-but-not-really post. Bloke is valuing his memories, not the metal.
  7. I had to know. £190 gun + 5 x mid caps @ £13 = £255 + 2 x Nurple fire sticks @ £19 = £293 + Nurple burn-your-house-down charger @ £25 = £318 + AOMEKIE dot sight @ £30 = £348 So you're getting the strap, bag, vest, backpack, BBs ,and that rare, never-seen-before Zombie Outbreak Response Team patch literally for free. Bargain!
  8. Indeed. Surely even the humblest of shop workers would take down a sign saying "Order your fish here" if it were left up in a stationery shop.
  9. I'd argue that strictly speaking they were illegal from the instant of determination that they're readily convertible. It's baffling why there was a delay on even starting the "amnesty", which as a policy should have no influence on policing the law as written and interpreted by courts. I'd get rid of them sooner rather than later - thanks for the reminder.
  10. Quite astonishing that he pulled that stunt and then walked away, in London at that. I expect - I hope - some questions are being asked about that. Excellent, and the right charge. It's about time costards got prosecuted for these shenanigans. Pointing it at people crossed the line into criminality. Hmm. I wonder what that was. Hopefully not the RIF. They'll have turned his house upside down, and I expect found plenty of other spicy stuff, some of which may be on the specifically prohibited weapons list.
  11. Some bloke is going to be livid when he finds that his wife's flogged it for what he told her he'd paid for it.
  12. Awaits "Which thread adapter do I need?" thread.
  13. Bloke's clearly not an airsofter, I'm not minded to help him get his hands on a RIF.
  14. Ah, gotchya. Yes, the Edge 2.0s are fine, as are the Double Eagle M9xx guns with the Falcon FCS - just be careful to check whether they're plastic or pot-metal bodied, they do both.
  15. I mean, I'm not saying that he's posted you a brick, but he's posted you a brick.
  16. There's a plethora of decent M4s out there, so I'd suggest narrowing it down rather than expanding the search. If you like the Novritsch, go for it. One consideration is that Luke at Negative Airsoft does the UK support for them, which means that they actually have real support. Just checking: have you played yet? If not, we'd always, always recommend renting before buying, to check if airsoft is really for you. If you already play and have one or more guns, what is it that they don't do that you'd want a new one to do differently?
  17. The perils of trying to make anything in the UK.
  18. Ah, a very cunning rationalisation.
  19. Not entirely unexpected given that "they" (where "they" is likely to be one bloke) do 7 colours of a low volume item, so there's almost inevitably going to be times when they're between batches, or off on holiday. S.W.A.T. were notorious for that with the VTGs, and have cut down to one colour now. But it's their problem, not yours, so don't feel bad about doing a chargeback. It's nothing personal, they've cut contact.
  20. Stabber, because in space nobody can hear you scream "They don't like it up 'em, Commissar Mainwaring!"
