  1. Can't stand drums so can anyone recommend some extended mags that work with the AAP?
  2. One of the reasons I'm sad about combat south closing is their less common DMR rules. 400fps, semi only and no med. Since that's basically how I play with a regular AEG anyway I figured I'd build a DMR to make the most of their rules but they closed before I could finish it ?
  3. You can't fix stupid but with enough duct tape you can at least keep it away from a keyboard.
  4. Not sure what it's called but the shaft that drives the needle. The whole thing badly needs stripping and cleaning as the old oil and grease has gummed everything up.
  5. If we're showing antiques here's my mum's old one. Unfortunately it's non functional now because of a bent part so just a display piece now. Not sure exactly how old but the most recent patent date I could find on it is July 4th, 1874.
  6. I recognize that middle one ?
  7. This is partly why you're going to struggle to convince me it's better than a GHK. Having seen the rwtv video on it I'd still rather have the GHK. Not that I'd even consider the TM until they started bringing out a 74 anyway.
  8. I thought you couldn't return IFs because the shop voids the manufacturer's warranty by painting it? Not that I'm defending this guy.
  9. I really like the look of those but cannot be bothered with dealing with another Ares.
  10. Not exactly airsoft related but doing this little project I think has given me the confidence I need to try some of the Airsoft sewing projects I've put off. It helped that I've finally found a sewing machine that doesn't fill me with frustration and hate.
  11. It's all printed. I can't remember the thread exactly, I think it's something like 13/16th of an inch but you can find it online. You can get real steel buffer tubes for about a tenner off of AliExpress, cheapest place I found. When you draw it up you need to scale the threads up ever so slightly so that they don't bind up
  12. I use real steel buffer tubes threaded into my printed components instead of AEG buffer tubes. That way you can print it all flat and not have to worry about that fracture point. It does make things a little bulkier though.
  13. My dad used a cut down tappet plate with an AEG air nozzle and hop up. You have to manually rack the air nozzle to load a BB then pull back the string and release to fire. I came up with a tappetless system to use the excess cylinder volume to move the nozzle so you didn't have to do it manually but we haven't implemented that yet.
  14. Anywhere's a cqb site if you're not a pussy ?
  15. He looked into it but it wasn't cost effective in the slightest. He'd have to sell the completed unit for at least £500 with all the hardware, printing and man hours that went into it. He was considering selling the files with the correct bits of tube or links to a supplier.
  16. My dad used a compound bow for his so that the draw is the same each time. He's set it up to fire at basr power levels but you could change it to cqb friendly levels by swapping to a lower volume cylinder or adjusting the cams to reduce the draw. He did the maths and even this cheap kid's bow he used is capable of in excess of 9J so he volumed it to be safe for airsoft and used the excess cylinder volume to feed the air back to behind the grip to keep the length down. He also made a buffer system in the front of the cylinder to stop it from tearing itself apart.
  17. My dad built this a couple of years ago. There's also someone else now making and selling their own design.
  18. That second one is exactly what I was after, thanks.
  19. Less than a month and you'll find something new to buy
  20. Where did you get that pack? I tried looking it up but all the results where portable chargers.
  21. We got called out so it had to be posted here.
  22. M-LOK looks great on SCARs
  23. I love mine. It's the smallest gun I've owned and I don't think I could go back to a full sized pistol now. That hasn't stopped me wanting to stick a huge suppressor on it though lol
  24. I wanted a BRN-180 so I made one
  25. Happy to donate my closet space for some of those
