G36 High Caps Are Terrible. Feeding Speed)
Zarrin replied to Asomodai's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
There are also these things: https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/g36-electric-dual-magazine-1000-rounds I've thought about picking one up for messing around with for years, but just never really got round to it - also the fact that my G36 has never worked that reliably; once I remedy this I may well get one. At the moment I just have a box of 140rd Star midcaps, but as you say G36 mags are so big and clunky; the dual mag 1000 rounder might be a nice solution with that in mind. I'm not certain but i think i've heard that they can have some reliability issues, so if that is something you might go for, definitely read up beforehand. I believe there are a handful of manufacturers who make/made them.. battleaxe being one of them. -
Yeah they have a decent rep - already up there in the EU list actually 👍

Looks like this eBayer is having a significant clear out... not gonna be shifting much at those prices, one or two items seem reasonable (only just), but he's having a laugh for the most part. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/blondie233 Very little detail on the items, almost no mention of makes on the bits that really need it - cannot imagine he'll shift even 10-20% of that lot. A couple items have best offer but you just know this guy is gonna be banging off his counter offers at 50 pence under 'buy it now' His Bulldog molle rig is only 5-10 quid more brand new (minus the sweat, dirt and use) Got loads of stock looking unbranded inner barrels, GBB and AEG for 16 quid a pop He's trying to shift stock un-branded motors for 23-25 quid. (To give an idea of what people pay for motors on eBay.. I watched a Rocket short 16TPA go on auction for £11 + 2.50 postage this afternoon - now kinda wishing snatched it up for my g36 overhaul)

ZCI advanced gear set turned up today - thanks @ak2m4 - excellent service as always bud! These gears are something else though, as the young ruffians say: 'dat iz sick' ...cant wait to rebuild my Mk18 gearbox, got so many sweet little goodies to go in. I imagine having bearings on the gears themselves will actually take some strain off a set of GB bearing bushings, allowing them to last longer. Interestingly, the spur gear has a raised recess at the centre of the bottom side, meaning a shim is probably not necessary there as is usually the case.

Watched the last two episodes of TCW last night - the final arc was great and gives some great perspective on what was going on whilst the events of Revenge of the Sith are playing out. The light-sabre dual in episode 10 is actually one of coolest looking in all of star wars imo. Been watching Rebels concurrently actually and while it is not as good as TCW, it has some great episodes and moments. Some really interesting news about Star Wars recently – just the other day Taika Waititi was made director of a new upcoming film. But also some odd and disturbing news; one of the next series or films is being taken over by an ultra-zealot feminist. I really do hate the direction Kathleen Kennedy has been trying to take these projects in – I’m glad she had no control over TCW. Even then, I’m cautiously optimistic for season two of the Mandalorian, the Obi-wan series, the Ahsoka series and whatever Taika is working on as he’s probably my favourite director to emerge into the spotlight in the last few years. TCW S7E10 light-sabre dual - spoilers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlFC8woFkTA The finale last night made me want to go back and watch this scene from Rebels again - potentially a bit spoilery if you've not seen all of TCW or rebels... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU9JRYzUBBg

Rated Excellent on TP with over 100 reviews - will add it on 👌

Trust pilot score is 4/5 with some good and some bad reviews pertaining to customer services. Not the best sample size on 12 reviews but still.. An old thread on here about them from 2017: Seems okay, webby looks good.. will add them on. If you are looking to purchase from an overseas retailer sometimes it's good to do a dry run with some parts or accessories and see how that goes before purchasing an RIF.

Double Eagle M904g – Aka the Original Q Honey Badger
Zarrin replied to mightyjebus's topic in AEG/GBBR Reviews
Seems kind of unbelievable what you are getting for the price. I too have always associated DE with the creme de la crap of airsoft guns, but it looks like they wanna play with the big boys now. -
looks like they are probably quite effective and the two tone black on tan looks good too.

Nicely done, did you add pieces of roofing felt to the Pmag indentations ? Looks good.

Ah yes, I suppose that is a potential bottle neck you have to avoid with the winding mag. But yeah that should be the way to go, high torque motor, probably 7.4v.. hopefully netting you good trigger response without insane rof. Should help avoid that awful sound you hear from guns on the field which really have to churn over to get that first shot off. -

hmm Yeah, a 22tpa on a 7.4v should give an appropriate M60/PKM/GPMG style "chug, chug, chug" effect - what kind of LMG are you working on? -

Hehe I'm totally unapologetic about that mate Yeah short shaft would be great - next overhaul project is my G36K which is still running a JG stock motor as far as I know. Having said that the ZCI "high speed" short motor at @ak2m4 is 16TPA and actually is sold as ZCI's 'balanced' motor by some other stores - I have one powering my SVD and it has surprisingly snappy response @ M130 with 11.1v. -

Two little hauls of goodies. Have to return the E&C QD guide though... too many lugs for the CA shell from eBay 🥴 -
Aright cool, so the original list is for shops which actually sell RIF and RIF components so i'll pop www.specshop.pl on the EU list. Some one else did actually launch a gear/kit shop list recently where the other three links would be better suited. 👍

Nice, such a cool optic - I have a Valken or Vortex clone type thing which dials between 1-4x (so not quite as fast switching on the go as your spectre) but what I find is that the optics on a 1-4x module in 1x mode are so much clearer than your average RDS or Holo... such a versatile solution.

Looks great with the Tan Elcan Spectre - does it have the handle that flips from 1x - 4x or is it fixed 4x ?

What did people think about the 'bad batch' arc - I really enjoyed it.. I liked the theme tune they gave the bad batch guys too. Theres a great little remix of it with the resistance theme from the Ep7 TFA:

I would probably try and reinforce parts of the gearbox with a strong apoxy resin.. mind their doesn't seem to be all that much tolerance/space upfront where cracks are more likely to occur, (at least from the above photo) however even a thin layer in certain key locations could help. -

hmm, well the issue I encountered on both my G36 was that the hop would get clogged, a bb would jam in the lips and would not shift untill i put a cleaning rod down or took it apart. The K was resolved with a new tappet spring - it was an old second hand JG gearbox I was using and the spring had weakened. The same thing developed with the C, I bought the gun second hand on the forums, that one had the same issue, but a new tappet spring did not resolve the issue... it's still currently not working and will be the next gun on my to do list. Sorry, been straying off topic! 😅 Just bought.... Long MP5/G3 rail mount so I can mount a reflex sight a little further up front on the MP5K! And also a rubber M9 bayonet and sheath - intend to use this next time at Grange in Brum city centre! Green 50. maple leaf for 1911 meu too. -

Is it the issue where bbs get jammed in the bucking lips? Had this on both my C and K -

eugh... feels bad man, like you are lighting a fiver on fire every time it happens. A tip is never to make the decision to grind or sand stuff past midnight or when you're tired... stop what you're doing.... go to bed, see if it still looks like a good idea in the morning. 😁 -
Yeah that's one of the rarer toys the troop transport... I reckon for sure that would have been put in by one of the guys in the mando production unit who had the toy as a kid. Looks like they are gonna re-release it too: https://forbiddenplanet.com/297404-star-wars-the-mandalorian-imperial-troop-transport/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9ZzzBRCKARIsANwXaeKciQSp1GFRwVETMLrcqfb-_0OyvHdTtj9w0oosHlqtZb7DScM1d38aAgsNEALw_wcB The ones in the pic are the SW micro machine action fleet, they were produced from the mid to late 90s for the re-releases, and then started up production again for the prequels in the early 2000s. The one that got away so to speak was Slave I, might have to see if I can pick it up on eBay one of these days. The old B-wing was massive yeah, probably 60cm long. As a kid I would reenact the hoth battle using the OG ATAT and the action fleet snow speeder, they were just the right scale for each other.

Eugh, that is freakin tragic mate, your 80s young self has my condolences... So my brother an I are thinking about restoring the old B-wing at the moment, it's missing both wings and the cockpit canopy. Funnily enough there are quite a few shops on eBay pretty much dedicated to selling the old sw toy parts. But my brother actually works in rapid prototyping (3d printing) so he'd like to maybe go that route! I brought all the micro machine action fleet stuff down last month for my nephew to check out, I think they are actually my favorite sw toys, even more so than all the old og stuff: The proportions on these were pretty much perfect... except the B-wing, pretty sure the cockpit is slightly too big.
